We share our home with three wonderful dogs (a Pointer, a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and an Australian Shepherd) all 7 years and older, plus our cat, Potato. We’re very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and species under one roof. Our dogs are mature, well-socialized, and help create a calm, balanced pack environment. We live on 2 acres with a securely fenced quarter-acre for safe, supervised outdoor play. There’s plenty of space for sniffing, structured exercise, and relaxing in the fresh air. My wife and I are almost always home, so your pet will receive consistent supervision, attention, and affection. So your pup will have company pretty much all day whether you are boarding with me or I am housesitting for you. I am very active and have a daily exercise and yoga routine and my home is a healthy and veg-friendly household. I'll gladly walk your dog to the level he/she is used to (if it's hot I will walk early morning and/or evenings). My intention is to have your baby feel loved and safe with lots of attention and play and by sticking to the routine as you dictate. I am very tidy/neat and respectful of your home. I'm happy to water your plants etc. If boarding in my home, I am here most of the time. My husb and I Iive in a house with a big fenced in yard so there is plenty of room for your pup to do his or her business and run around and chase a toy. The neighborhood is very walkable and dog-friendly. I can also take your dog in the car to favorite walks (with your permission). If boarding in my home, I request that your dog is 100% house-trained and has good social skills/manners as well as being comfortable with having their own bed to sleep in.

About: Home is where your heart is as your pets are in your heart, I take care of both while your away on vacation or a work trip. My fur babies are my world. So you can be rest assured I care for yours as they're my own! I can assist with pet care in your home or mine. I offer dog walking for when you are at work or away from home on holiday. Playtime is paramount for most pets. It keeps them engaged and happy. Dogs that are active should have extra activities while you're away. I'm an active person and I believe it's your pets utmost health benefit to have lots of playtime and outdoor time! I also have fostered and pet sit for elderly or more low key dogs and always provide just the right amount of activity to take any limitations so not to strain or over do. I am currently taking dog behavioral training classes. I have some behavior training for dogs to best understand your pet. As I am always seeking to further my studies. I have lead trained, potty trained, and offered basic training during my time of sitting. Do not hesitate to schedule a meet and greet. Be happy to meet ya! I do work full-time, but mostly from home. My kitties are my shadows, I never use the restroom alone. They have taught me so much and I love the unique personality that I find in each one of them. I know how important it is to respect their space (especially if they're more standoffish) and ensure they have all their resources, especially when their humans are away! Currently working my own flexible schedule so I can make any time work that your fur baby needs. Some pets are used to early mornings and some are used to late evenings. Whatever works for yours! My kitties eat raw, so I make their food daily and give them specific supplements and treats depending on their behavior and the litterbox situation. I'm in tune with my kitty's behaviors and meows knowing what they're requesting in that moment. When caring for other people's pets, I'm mindful of where we use the bathroom (if possible) and clean up appropriately. No details are too many, I'm very supportive of specific needs and how your fur baby may be familiar with their care.

I still distinctly remember the breeder of the first dog I ever owned - a chocolate lab named Ginger - looking me in the eye after seeing I was apprehensive about the dogs and telling me, "Son, some day this dog will be the best friend you ever had." Ginger and I went everywhere together. I've had dogs and cats virtually my whole life, and the animals love me. While I am employed full time, I work in a hybrid setting that includes roughly 3 remote days per week, so I can be pet sitting on site and developing as close a band as I can to alleviate the babies' separation anxiety. I aim to please - if you'd prefer for your fur baby to be crated at night, then I will make sure s/he does that. My only job, other than to make the babies' experience as smooth as possible, is to follow the directions laid out by the owners.

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. About: Have had pets my entire life, bred multiple reptiles in the past, have had several dogs over the years, exotics, still have a 23 year old african grey who is my middle child who won't leave the nest, spent a decade volunteering at a no-kill shelter, multiple animal rescues, have worked in multiple veterinary offices, been vegetarian since 1997, worked as a vegan chef in several restaurants, and still love to cook for potlucks, friends and fun! I’ve worked with sheltered animals, horses, livestock and strays my whole life.
