Longest I've kept one dog is for 2 weeks. I love taking care of dogs as if they were my own. Currently live in Durham, NC in my childhood home. I work from home, so I'm the perfect sitter that can entertain your dog while you're at work, away on vacay/trip, or just need some me time. I am a patient person and do have experience training a couple of dogs from not fearing their crate, knowing boundaries within house, and cease whining. I work from home Monday-Friday from 8-4:30 pm. I occasionally have appts and other events on the weekends, including attending church worship service. I'm at home the majority of the time. I have a pretty open concept in my house, but I close off doors to bedrooms and bathroom. I sometimes close off my hallway to keep in a secluded place in case of visitors or go to sleep at night. I take dogs out on leash, I currently do not have a fenced yard. I spend quality time with them and engage often and show plenty of love.

I have a fur baby named Benny who will be 3 in July. He’s playful, loving, and so much fun! I am very familiar with the needs of a puppy or full size dog and love meeting new furry friends! About: I grew up with two bigger dogs (German Shepard and chow/golden mix) and always had responsibility with taking care of them. Although I do not have any dogs of my own at the moment, I am always the first to watch my family and friends dogs such as Bernese mountain dog, doodles, Bassett Hound, and German Sheppards! I usually spend most the day when I am at home entertaining my pets or letting them have free run of the backyard with regular check ins. I make sure that their food is good for their stomach, their daily exercise if playing outside with a normal dose of petting and grooming. I recently got off of medical leave so I have started short nightly walks and we work out together to stay happy and healthy. I am a big night owl so I love watching my dogs snore about. A safe home is one your pet recognizes as the pack den. I care for all pets with repetitive training, health care checks, grooming, and dental care as long as they will let me. I love to make a home pet safe by avoiding choking hazards and loose cables. (Mainly because my guinea pig is a little menace). Medications are taken with timers and usually snuck into foods. I like keeping basic training habits are maintained so that the pets do not unlearn anything their humans have taught them.

About: Most of my experience is with dogs of friends or co-workers. I generally keep their dogs at their place where they are most comfortable and take them out frequently for walks/runs or whatever they'd like to do. So long as the dog is house trained and not on the "forbidden breed list" at the apartments I stay, they are welcome to my home too. I've sat a Pointer/Dalmation mix, Maltese mix, Shepherd mix, Chow Chow, Boxer, Cane Corso, and 2 Weimaraners in the past. My fulltime job is a nurse, and I only work 36 hours a week. I don't really consider pet sitting or walking a job because I love dogs so much. Just looking to make some extra income and maybe start my own business someday. I have a laid back personality and dogs tend to take to me immediately or at least stay true to their breeds. Chow Chow was my brother-in-law's dog who barked at me a good 3-4 times before she knew I wasn't a total stranger. Bothered me none.

“Very happy with Chelsey and David and their care for our pup, Mallory! We have used their services for daycare dropoff and a longer, multiple night trip. They are flexible with dropoff and pickup times, and are enthusiastic about having Mal around. Their dog, Athena, is a fun play pal for Mal and Chelsey and David are conscientious about monitoring playtime and giving the dogs a break when needed. They send pics and videos of Mal's time there which is a plus given being away from your doggo can be a bit stressful (for you and them)! I feel that Mal is happy and safe while in their care and that makes my dog mom heart super thankful :)”
“Caroline was wonderful. She’s calm and seems very easy going. Our dogs are quite hyper but she dealt with them very gently. We appreciate her helping us, even when our one dog had last minute surgery so she had to administer meds. Definitely would recommend!”
