“Tasha provided great dog boarding care for our dog Amber recently. Amber had a great vacation while we were away with a large fenced back yard to romp with fellow dog buddies. Tasha provided plenty of feedback with daily photos. She is a true dog lover. Two thumbs up on her care. Stan”

“Our doggie was very happy at Olivia’s place. Frequent updates and photos and videos showed her playing and relaxing. SOOO much better than being stuck in a cubicle at the kennel!”

“Steven really helped me out in a pinch when we had to go out of town suddenly. He welcomed our crew of four into his home, including our special needs dachshund whom his youngest son fell in love with him. I would definitely use Steven again. Thanks”

“Donna and Calvin were fantastic hosts! I knew my older Pomeranian was in great hands and I didn’t have to worry about him while I was away. Donna sent regular pictures and updates. He went on daily walks, and was given special attention with food because he doesn’t eat right away like other dogs. I highly recommend Donna and Calvin!”

“Raquel was amazing!! I was looking for a new dog sitter since we moved and so glad I found her! If you’re looking for a responsive, loving dog sitter with a lovely, clean home and big yard, look no further! She made me feel so comfortable and confident that her and her family would take great care of our dog Rocky.”

“My first experience on rover and Sarah and her family knocked it out of the park. Instantly felt comfortable and knew that my puppers was going to be in good hands. Very responsive and updated me throughout her stay daily. Very attentive and genuinely cared for my sweet girl. Highly recommend.”

“Gabby was amazing. My Sully stayed with Gabby and her clan for a week. Sully had SO much fun interacting with the dogs and children. No issues what so ever. Sully has been napping the last 2 days since we picked him up.”

“Diane and her family were AMAZING with Hank! They took great care of him. Diane sent daily updates and pictures, which is always nice when we're away from our dog. I highly recommend Diane and her family!”

“Jenn and her son were so great with my dog, Mugsy. Mugsy is a little nervous around kids, but Jenn’s son was the perfect demeanor to put her at ease. They took Mugsy on plenty of walks and showed her lots of love. I would definitely hire Jenn again in the future for boarding!”
“Rachel could not have been more caring. Oliver enjoy his time with Rachel and loved his playtime. She was so thoughtful to send pics and videos of her stay with Oliver.”

“We felt that Rosie was in great hands while in Allie’s care. Very accommodating with drop off and pick up. Great communication. Will definitely be using Allie’s services again!”

“This was our second stay with Jordan, and I realized I never left a review after the first one. However, I definitely should have! As a first time Rover user, in fact the first time ever leaving my 9-year old pup with a stranger, I was incredibly nervous about leaving my dog with someone new. Jordan completely exceeded my expectations. He sent thoughtful updates throughout the stay with a plethora of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind, and it was obvious that my dog was being loved and well cared for. Not only is Jordan amazing, but his family is so kind and welcoming. You can truly tell they care about the dogs they watch and treat them like part of the family. Knowing my pup was safe, happy, and surrounded by so much love made all the difference. I can't thank Jordan enough for taking such great care of my dog, Lily. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative, I highly recommend booking with him. We'll definitely be back!”

“Cosette was great with keeping us up to date with pictures and videos throughout my dog's stay. She even gave her a bath on the day we picked her up for us! Thank you Cosette.”

“Ollie and Chief loved their stay with Natalie and her family! Ollie got to play with Natalies dog Rocky and get some of his energy out. Natalie was able to take care of Chiefs senior dog needs (like his diapers!) and treated the dogs as her own. We will definitely use her again in the future since she took such great care of our fur babies!”

About: What makes me stand out is that caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, and I’ve seen them in every season of life—from playful pups to gentle seniors. That foundation gives me a deep understanding of their needs, quirks, and love languages. Here are a few things I bring to the table: Specialized care for puppies & seniors: I have experience with puppy training basics (potty training, socialization, gentle commands) as well as senior care (slower walks, mobility support, extra comfort). Medical competence: I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring health changes, and following vet instructions scrupulously. Attentive, personal care: I don’t treat your dog like a “task” — I treat them like family. I take time to learn their routines, preferences, and subtle signals. Open communication: You’ll never be in the dark. I’ll send you updates (photos, notes) and make sure you feel confident about their well-being while you’re away. Reliability & responsibility: When I commit to caring for your dog, I honor that commitment. You can count on me to be present, prompt, and fully invested in their happiness. In short: I don’t just provide a service — I provide peace of mind, with the same love and care I’d give my own dog. Hi, I’m Thomas! I moved to Wilmington from Louisiana about seven years ago with my pups, and we’ve loved every moment here! Whether we’re out exploring or just soaking up the sun in the yard, we make the most of every day. I currently have two wonderful rescues—Goose, my loyal 11-year-old Doberman, and Mattie, my playful 2-year-old pit mix. They’re not just pets; they’re family. I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your furry friends, and I’d treat yours with the same love and attention I give my own. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! My top priority is ensuring your pet's happiness, safety, and well-being. As a devoted pet owner myself, I know how important it is to have complete peace of mind while you're away. You can trust that with me, your pets will always be in great hands—loved, cared for, and treated like family!
About: You can trust me to take excellent care of your pet! As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, bird, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. I have pet-sat for several friends and clients, volunteered at shelters, worked at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, and for a professional dog walking / cat sitting company. You can rest easy as your pet will be safe in my care. I follow directions well and get the details right! Why I love dog walking and sitting: I have been a dog lover since the day I was born. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I’m also comfortable taking care of cats and other pets. My experience administering medication: I've given lots of oral meds and various ointments, eye drops, ear drops, etc. My schedule is pretty flexible. I’m typically available any day of the week and can do early mornings and late evenings if needed. Let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate! ONE DOG FAMILY AT A TIME Boarding and Doggie Day Care: It will only be your dog(s) and our one dog staying at our house. We have a secure, fenced yard, a doggie door, and a covered back patio with doggie beds perfect for lounging in the sun or shade. Our friendly bull terrier, Lucy, will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if you prefer. Lucy’s dad/my significant other, Pedro, also lives here and also loves animals.

“We had a great experience with Taylor and his family. They shared photos and updates while we were away and our pup even made some new friends while he was there. Would absolutely recommend!”

About: My parents had two cats from before I was born. They lived till I was about 14 and allowed me to become very familiar with having a cat as a pet. One was also particularly feisty so I also know how to deal with cats that are a little more on the scratchy side. Overall, I'm a big cat person and would love to watch over any paws thrown my way!

“Stephanie is amazing. She is kind, gentle and understanding. She treated squishy and my home as her own. She reported the details I needed to feel comfortable in being away. Lots of pictures. Lots of love for my sweet girl. Thanks Stephanie.”

“The best petsitter around! I had to leave town last minute for work. She helped me out so much. Going above and beyond, letting me know what was going on at my apartment. Saved me so much worry and stress. Other sitters have not even seen my cat, because he hides under the bed when strangers stop by. Kim sent pictures of Alfie every day. Thanks again. I will definitely ask for your help again in the future if you are available.”

“Lauren was so great with our cat! She was very accommodating, sent cute photos of her visits, and took care of his litter/food/water. We would absolutely recommend Lauren, and we will be rebooking with her in the future :)”

“I rebooked with Olivia and she was amazing again! She gave my cat Leo lots of love and kept his litter box and food area clean! She is great at communicating, will definitely be rebooking with her again!”

“Carol was great! I have never had so little to do when returning from a trip! The cats were happy, no messes (that's a big thing with my cats!) and it was wonderful to know they were so well cared for. Carol was very communicative and went the extra mile. I will definitely ask her to sit again. ”
“Debbie was so sweet with Lily! She came over prior to her visits to meet me and lily and see what exactly she needed to do. Debbie kept me updated with photos of Lily and was very responsive whenever I messaged her!”

About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. I’m also qualified to train emotional support animals, which has been so rewarding. I chose this as a career path because of how much I genuinely love all living things. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the best care they could ask for! I own my own business, so I make my own schedule. I can tend to whatever schedule best suits the animals. I don’t have pets of my own, so that gives me even more flexibility. I always make sure I’m doing my best to care for animals, in any aspect of my life or career. I’m diligent in making sure their feeding, walking and play schedules are upheld promptly, and that their routines stay relatively in tact. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I work as a trainer, which means I’m happy to add on training sessions with your pet while they’re in my care, through my business if that’s something of interest. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.
“Laine was fabulous and will absolutely use her again! She checked on my pup every day for a week and . gave him lots of attention and love. She even messaged me the one day asking about his lunch when I forgot to leave it out making sure he got fed!”

“Kristin did a such a great job with our cats! She made us feel so much better about having to leave them for a trip. She’s very communicative and reliable, I highly recommend her.”

“I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have had Sarah pet sit my cats. She followed all the instructions I gave her and every day she sent me pictures in the morning and pictures in the evening. Sarah was outstanding and I would definitely use her again. She is very responsible and competent. I had complete peace of mind on my vacation because I knew my cats were being very well taken care of . Thank you so much Sarah!”

“Amy was great with our dog and took special care with him! She helped with medication and monitoring him from a pre-existing injury. She spent time with him and sent great pix, highly recommend!”

About: I love animals and have experience with cats from my time working at a vet clinic receptionist to watching cats for friends and family! Experience with senior animals and giving medications. I believe in understanding a pet's needs and responding with compassion.
About: I provide reliable drop-in visits and energy-burning dog walks for pet owners who want peace of mind while they're away. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, fresh water, feeding, playtime, companionship, or a long walk to work off extra energy, I'm committed to making sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy. I have personally owned and cared for dogs for more than 22 years and understand that every pet has unique needs, personalities, and routines. Through years of hands-on experience, I've learned how important consistency, patience, exercise, and positive interactions are to a dog's overall well-being. I genuinely love dogs and treat every pet in my care with the same attention and affection I give my own. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet's specific routine and care instructions. During visits, I can provide exercise, playtime, feeding, fresh water, medication administration (if needed and instructions are provided), and plenty of love and attention. For walks, I enjoy giving dogs the physical activity and mental stimulation they need to stay healthy and content. I work full-time but have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide drop-in visits and walks during available hours. I believe pets deserve quality one-on-one attention, and I make every effort to ensure they receive the time, care, and exercise they need. My goal is to help you feel confident knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I currently work from home so if your needs are during the week I can do 2 drop in’s or walk during the week. I can do anytime on the weekends. I currently have a dog that doesn’t always do well with other dogs. He has never bitten anyone but I’m not sure how he would react with another dog in the house.
“Thank you so much for everything! I’m so sorry for the delayed tip/message 😭 things were so busy once we got back from our trip :( but we appreciate you so much!! We’ll be in touch soon if you’re available! haha”

“Steven and his family did a fantastic job caring for my pup! Walks, play and he even gave him a bath after a long day of play. Steven was very cordial, prompt and sent some pics throughout the day!”

About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available, they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots, heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every size since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to feed, play/exercise, bathe/groom, and love their pets while traveling, moving, or working. Are the morning walks not cutting it for your pup? Do they still have too much energy during the day? Now introducing “Dog Jogs!” Instead of a walk around the block, I will take your dog on a couple mile jog, solo or with other pups, to use up that puppy energy so they will sleep all day while you’re working. Additionally, I work from home and have plenty of time throughout the day for regular exercise and bathroom breaks. I live in a dog friendly community on the first floor with direct access to a large, grassy backyard. Your pet will be looked after at all times during the day, and would never be left alone. I do not have my own pets at this time, and your fur baby would receive all the love and attention it deserves.

About: Hi! I’m Emma — dog mom of 3, lifelong dog lover, and small-dog boarding specialist in Wilmington, NC. I have three friendly small dogs of my own (Cavaliers + a Cocker Spaniel), so your pup will always have built-in friends, supervised playtime, and a home-based environment instead of an overcrowded kennel. Taking care of dogs is just part of my everyday life! I work from home, so I’m with my dogs pretty much all day. We keep a regular routine of potty breaks, playtime, and light training throughout the day. On weekends, we love to switch things up with a hike, a beach stroll, or grabbing a pup cup at our favorite coffee spot. Whether it’s a chill day at home or an adventure, I’m always focused on making sure the dogs in my care are happy, safe, and well-loved. Located in a safe, quiet Scotts Hill neighborhood with a fully fenced backyard for playtime. I only board 1-2 dogs at a time, so your pup will always get personal attention and care. They have the option to have their own cozy suite or stay in the same room as our resident pups, both with comfy bedding, toys, and all the essentials. Please note all pets are crated when unsupervised and overnight. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog feels right at home!
About: I’ve had dogs all my life. Since I moved to North Carolina I have fostered over 10 rescue pups, ranging in age from puppies to seniors. I have experience with puppies and all kinds of dog breeds. My first dog of my own was a 10 year old senior pup named Eddie that I rescued from a shelter in Tucson. He was my soul dog and we had many wonderful years of adventures together. Having used Rover I know what it’s like to be worried about leaving your dog behind. I’m a major dog lover and will take great care of your pup! I live in a house with a fenced in yard and know of lots of areas for walks and fun. In 2024, I adopted a lab/shepherd mix puppy named Finnegan! He loves to play! In December 2025 we added our rescue collie mix, Claire. I work for a children’s nonprofit from home so I’ll be able to spend lots of time with your pup. Feel free to ask me any questions! I work from home so my schedule is very flexible and I can easily be ready for potty breaks or walk breaks for high energy pups! I am a big believer of pets being allowed on furniture so I don’t mind if they climb on mine, but if you want to keep them following a certain rule I’m happy to oblige.

“Lacey is fabulous! He is polite, patient, and flexible. He walked my 89 year old mother’s dog and handled her constantly changing requests with grace and kindness. Her old dog adapted quickly to his visits and waited by the door for him to arrive. He arrived on time for every walk, printed out the schedule for my mom who forgets things, and was just all-around wonderful. I highly recommend him and thank him for everything he has done.”

About: I’ve taken care of pups of all sizes for as long as I can remember! I have a soft spot in my heart for senior dogs, but love the energetic puppies too! I work full-time but I’m available everyday that I work after 3pm. The two days that I don’t work, I’m available all day, typically the weekends. I live in an apartment with a large porch and a great sized dog park that any pup would love. When we aren’t outside, my pup hangs out in the living room, but I’m more than happy to use the crate if you are more comfortable! If in-home with your pup, I’ll follow whatever instructions provided to make your pup happy!!
“I cannot recommend Jennifer highly enough! It gives me tremendous peace of mind knowing my dog is in such caring and capable hands. Walker is dependable, professional, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. My dog gets excited every time they arrive, which says everything I need to know. Communication is excellent, with updates and photos that make me feel connected even when I’m away. Walker is always punctual, attentive to my dog’s needs, and goes above and beyond to ensure every walk is safe, fun, and enriching. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who will care for your pet like their own, Jennifer is the perfect choice. Five stars!”

About: I love animals and have experience with pets from my time working at a vet clinic receptionist to watching cats and dogs for friends and family! Experience with senior animals and giving medications. I believe in understanding a pet's needs and responding with compassion. I currently work full time in person with a flexible schedule. I will chat with you before we commit to pet sitting to ensure my schedule works for your needs (if that's dropping in before or after my shift, over lunch for a walk, etc). I am able to hang out with your pets, drop in, or walk your pets during the day and stay overnight if needed! I currently don’t offer to have pets stay in my home.

I am well equipped to help continue with crate training, leash training, potty training, manners, etc. while you are away. I have cared for all types and ages of pups! I am able to take special care if needed and administer medicine (pills, eye drops, etc.). I work from home with a very laid back job so I can watch and play with your dogs all day! Can take them on multiple potty breaks/walks during the day if needed. I have a fenced in yard currently but if your pup needs some more exercise I love to take walks with them. I have a spacious house with gates to block off any areas needed.
“Sarah was amazing with our fur-baby. This was the first time Bleu was with a dog walker and she helped everyone feel at ease. She was attentive to his needs, and helped him feel very comfortable even when he was unsure about walking with a new person.”

About: I've owned dogs all my life and always had a role in taking care of them. I have always owned German Shepherds, so I have lots of experience with very large dogs. I have also been cat sitting since age 8 and have experience with cats of all sizes and ages. I recently graduated from UNC Law School and took the bar exam, and I am looking for some work in the interim while I wait for exam results and search for a legal job. I am living with family in the Wilmington area! I love animals of all kinds. I am most looking forward to taking jobs on rover because I'll get to meet so many pets! As well as feeding and playing with your pets at home, I would love to take them on walks, jogs or maybe car rides to the park (whatever you are comfortable with)! I have lots of experience walking bigger, stronger dogs on a leash so I'd be comfortable doing this with your pets if you'd like!

Thanks”

If you’re looking for a responsive, loving dog sitter with a lovely, clean home and big yard, look no further! She made me feel so comfortable and confident that her and her family would take great care of our dog Rocky.”

“Ashley, Jon, and the kids were AMAZING!!! Roman is a sneaky girl who likes to get into stuff and they took my warning serious unlike other sitters I've used in the past. I got lots of pictures and my babies had a great time. Will 100% be using then again <3”

“Jay was amazing! Our dog was well cared for and Jay gave us great updates. He communicated promptly and our pup was definitely cared for! Highly recommend Jay as a sitter for your pet.”

“Josephine was very accomodating for our last minute dogsitting needs Thanksgiving weekend. She took great care of Lucy who loved playing with Roxy! We appreciate her patience and love she gave our anxious dog.”
