“Susan did such a wonderful job with my dog, Remy! Remy can be a little shy/nervous, but Susan and her family provide a safe, comfortable, and loving home, and I feel absolutely comfortable leaving Remy with them! She sent pics while I was away at training of their walks and snuggle time and provided updates for his interactions with everyone else in the house. She is great and we look forward to booking again in the future!”

“This was our first time using Rover. We met Crissy and Matt before the stay which helped answer questions and alleviate anxiety. They sent pictures throughout the stay, and I felt like I didn't have to worry so much about my dog and cat since this is a job they do all the time! We would definitely choose Crissy and Matt again in the future as our sitters!”

“Laura was the absolute best! Took in my anxious big baby pittie and loved him from the first second. My boy seemed so comfortable and Laura provided pictures, videos and updates during my 24 hours away from Blue. I couldn't be happier or have asked for a better person to care for my boy 💙🩵”

“Incredible! Griffin planned fun events for our pup and gave plenty of updates. Made for an easy trip knowing Andy was well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Stephanie was absolutely incredible with Hank! From the moment we connected, I could tell she truly loves dogs and treats them like family. She was attentive, communicative, and made me feel completely at ease while we were away. Hank can be a little quirky (especially on walks!), but Stephanie handled him with patience and confidence. She followed his routine perfectly — meals right on schedule, gentle lead on walks, and all the little details that matter. I could tell he felt safe and comfortable with her. She sent updates and photos, which meant so much to me. There’s nothing better than seeing your pup relaxed and happy while you’re gone. I would 100% trust Stephanie with Hank again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible, kind, and dependable sitter. She’s a gem!”

“Chris was able to take Oliver at short notice for a trip I went on. We had a prior meet and greet so I felt comfortable with what to expect. Chris updated me on Oliver and sent pictures. Oliver looked like he had a great time with Chris and Dolly (his pup). He went straight to sleep when I brought him home!”

“We love having Christine watch our two dogs when we are out of town. She sends daily photos and treats them like family. It’s easier to be away from them knowing they’re being taken care of well by Christine and her family.”

“Rhiannon and Rachel were great hosts for our pup! They sent lots of updates and were very communicative. Thank you for treating Louie like your own!!”

“Stephanie was quick responder and saved us from a very stressful last minute cancellation from another sitter. She sent lots of pics and updates from the weekend, putting as at ease. Would highly recommend her! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“She was WONDERFUL. So so so sweet! I was probably more anxious than Bleu, but she made me feel so comfortable. You can just tell she is a wonderful soul right off the bat, and she took care of Bleu on the 4th of July when he is INSANELY terrified, so she went above and beyond. So happy to have found Patricia. I know Bleu found his new best friend, and I found peace of mind!”

“Ms. Derrika and her family were awesome. I could tell my pup was well loved while I was away. I know he looks forward to spending time with her in the future!💓”

“Jessica and her family treat Louie like he’s their own. I love the pictures of her kids cuddling him and making him feel at home. It makes me happy to know he’s well taken care of while I’m away!”

“Alyssa is the absolute best! She was very communicative, kind, and treated our dog like one of her own. She made sure he was comfortable and well adjusted while we were gone. I especially loved all the pictures and notes she sent of how our dog was doing throughout his stay. We would absolutely book with Alyssa again!!”

“Olga has watched our pups a couple of times now and she is fantastic! She kept us updated with sweet photos, took them for walks, and send lots of photos. We can’t recommend her enough!”

“Can’t speak highly enough about this sitter! Ruby was in heaven playing ball and part of the whole family’s activities. Lots of communication and very flexible with my schedule. Definitely will be using again when I’m back in town!”

“Tasha is an amazing dog sitter! I felt so comfortable and relaxed knowing she was watching over my pup. She took very good care of him and was attentive to his needs. She gave him lots of love and affection and made sure to update me with pictures all the time. If I ever need a dog sitter again I wouldn’t ask anyone else but Tasha!”

“Highly recommend! Linda was very thoughtful in her approach to caring for my dog, Ruby. Her daily rate was higher than other sitters I looked at, but her "one-pet-at-a-time" policy and excellent setup made it worth it. Thank you!”

“Noelle is fantastic! She's very nice and took great care of my cats while we were gone. She sent me wonderful pics of them playing so I had total peace of mind while she was looking after them. I'll be booking her to drop in on my pets for as long as she's available to do it!”

“Nicole was amazing and so communicative! I trusted her with my kitty for 4 days and I would rebook her again in a heartbeat. She took lots of pics and kept me updated on how my cat was doing. I recommend her!!”

“Don't hesitate to book Melissa if you're lucky enough! I enjoyed my vacation so much more knowing she was givng my animals the gold-star treatment. Melissa followed every detail of my way-too-long instruction list for my 2 cats (despite my handwriting). She somehow seemed to remember everything we chatted about during our meet-and-greet the week prior anyway, and probably didn't need a list. Her daily updates were thorough and cute (she took lot's of good photos). She was very accommodating of some slightly unusual requests too. My cats warmed right up to her. I'll definitely ask her to sit again in the future if lucky enough!”

“I always have personal issues leaving my cats because I worry about them a lot and I’m just so annoyingly specific about how I do everything for my cats but Sharon is an angel and took the best care of them. I can’t thank her enough for all the pictures and how sweet she speaks to and treats my cats. Thank you Sharon”

“Rachel was the perfect fit for my cat Ruthie! She connected right away with her. I love the report card details of observations Rachel made as well as the photos or Ruthie I received from her while I was away. I would highly recommend Rachel and Rover in general. What a wonderful service they provide with wonderful caregivers!”

“Lindsay is great with my dogs. She is flexible and always super helpful if my plans change, even going above and beyond when we had an out of town emergency. I don't have to worry when I know she is coming!”

“My cat had a wonderful time from Erin's visits while I was on a trip. Erin made sure all of his needs were met each day, and treated him to great play and birdwatching sessions!”

“My two cats loved their visits with Patricia! Always got pictures, updates on what they did, and she left any questions as she had them. Will absolutely be contacting to use again next time we’re out of town!”

“We had Vanessa watch our two young cats over Thanksgiving week. Vanessa was great with them and with us - attentive to their needs and very responsive to us. Our favorite was the pictures she shared in the after-visit reports, and our cats’ favorite was seeing their new buddy. Vanessa was very respectful, professional, and kind. Would definitely ask Vanessa to come back in the future!”

“Monica provided great care for my cat like she always does. she provided pictures and videos of him and also gave updates as she did the drop ins. Monica administered his insulin well and with care! My cat loves her!”

“Had Nicloe watch my cats for the 1st time this week for a trip and she did great! Very detailed updates and pictures and she was able to get one of my shy cats to stick around when she showed up. Will be rebooting in the future!”

I am very friendly and strive to make sure every experience is friendly. I have two dogs of my own. I am excited to be able to take care of your dogs and make sure they get what they need while you are away from home. Something that sets me apart from other sitters and walkers is that I am very client forward and will work to meet your needs. I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups, I am available for walks and check ins Monday/wednesday/ thursday and house sitting Monday- Sunday! About: I’ve kept and rescued animals since a young age, which included tending to any wounds or injuries. My own pets were fosters, and most recently I fostered a lovely pittie who was then adopted. I’m very good with skittish cats, and I have a good understanding of basic dog training techniques. Lastly, I live a street away from a nice park which is good for dog walks. I love all animals, and spending time with them and caring for them is just as good for me as it is for them. I am currently self employed and jobs are few, so I have a very flexible schedule. Most, if not all my time would be dedicated to any pets in my care. I do have two of my own cats, so any dogs would have to be okay with cats in the house. All pets are different, with their own personalities, routines and likes/dislikes. Therefore, I plan to ask for detailed instructions regarding pet care. This can include things like a preference to crate the dog at night, dietary restrictions, favorite activities etc. I am detail oriented and appreciate any information or details owners can provide about their pets so that I may provide the best care possible.
“Taryn was the best cat sitter I could have hoped for. She came twice before my trip to meet me and Opie. He's a very good good boy but also a very spoiled pandemic baby and has always had me here since I work remotely. Taryn sent pictures every day and Opie took to her like a second mother. Can't say enough good things about Taryn. I plan to book her anytime I am going out of town.”

“Christine was awesome! I booked the night before at the very last minute for all-day doggy daycare, and she responded immediately! She took such good care of my pup who came back happy, calm, and obviously had a LOT of good playtime. I definitely would recommend Christine - I know I'll be booking her again!”

“Juno had a great time with Ron at doggie daycare. She was very tired when we got home so I know she had a full day of playing. Ron was very responsive and even sent an update and picture during her stay.”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of him. He loves hanging out with you. It's funny because we will tell him where he's going in the morning and he gets so excited!”

About: I've taken care of my own pets (cats and senior dogs) for over a decade as well as lovingly and responsibly provided care for friends and families animals (cats, dogs, chickens...) when need. Experienced cat foster who has cared for sick and very young kittens. I work from home, have a flexible schedule, and my cat is very low maintenance so I have ample time to support others needing some extra hands to support their pet. Pets in my home would be under my supervision at all times and/or leashed for any outdoor excursions. Happy to crate your animals or otherwise accommodate what works best for you and them while in my care.

“Allison was fantastic! Ozzie adored her and her dog, and by the third day when I told him he was going to see her he got excited. She kept me updated with lots of photos and was also very understanding of my shifting drop-off and pick-up hours due to the nature of the daytime event I was working. I will definitely be sending Ozzie to stay with her again in the future, and would recommend her to anyone.”
About: Hi, I’m Chris! Dogs have always been a huge part of my life—I’ve spent 30+ years caring for pets for friends and family and I volunteer at a local shelter as a dog walker. I work from home and now have the flexibility to spend more time doing what I love: keeping good dogs (and cats) company. Your dog will get plenty of attention, care, and a walk they’ll look forward to. With a work-from-home schedule, I’m able to offer flexible, attentive care for your pup. We regularly walk around Loose Park and the Plaza and would love to include your dog. When visiting your home, I make sure each walk is tailored to your neighborhood and your dog’s routine. I provide a safe, structured, and attentive environment tailored to each dog’s needs. I take the time to understand your pet’s routine—feeding, exercise, and any specific preferences—so they feel comfortable and cared for from the start. In your home, I’m respectful and detail-oriented, ensuring doors, gates, and leashes are handled carefully at all times. Walks are attentive and controlled, with a focus on safety, awareness, and your dog’s comfort level. With my background in shelter volunteering, I’m experienced with a range of temperaments and prioritize calm, positive interactions. I also provide regular updates, so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands while you’re away.

About: Hello! I’ve been dog sitting for over a couple years for friends and family and I can’t wait to do more for the community. I love all animals and treat them like family. I’m excited to meet more furry friends! I’m currently a medical student at UAMS. I usually just stay at home and study. I’ll have plenty of time to go on walks, dog parks, and much more! I have a back yard and a smoke free home to keep your furry friend company whenever needs be. I can adapt to your needs as long as we communicate and work through it!
“Stephanie provided excellent care for Elvis during his daycare! She sent me pictures of him throughout the day. I will be booking with her again!”

“Rachel was awesome! She answered my request fast, and accommodated watching my dog on very short notice. She sent me pictures right away, was communicative and super sweet. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Absolute wonderful rovers, will definitely be rebooking in the future!! Thank you so much Ramon and Nicole for taking such good care of our boys!! They loved their stay 🥰🥰”

“Derrika is FANTASTIC!!! She and her family are so incredibly friendly, kind and warm hearted. On the first day that Yogi (my doggo) was there he warmed up immediately - this was so easy for him as he knows & trusts great people. I got several lovely pictures - one of which was Yogi on her couch resting his head on her son’s legs. Yogi doesn’t do this unless he is very chill. You & your doggo will be grateful that you found her!!”

About: I have been the "go-to" dog sitter for my circle of friends for years, and I’ve realized that the only thing better than having one dog in the house is having two (or three if you have a pair of pups!). I’m opening up my home to Rover guests primarily to provide some social fun for my own dog, Ripley. Ripley is a high-energy ball of joy who loves to play, so if you have a dog that never seems to tire out, they’ll find a kindred spirit here. Whether it's rounds of fetch, wrestling in the yard, or just having a buddy to nap with, your dog will be integrated into our daily routine. What to Expect: • Individualized Attention: Because I only sit 1 family’s dogs at a time, your dogs will get plenty of attention! • Active Days: We specialize in high-energy play. If your dog loves to move, they’ll come home happy and exhausted. • A Present Sitter: I work from home so your dogs will have plenty of face time with me! All dogs with an easy going temperament that are ready to play are welcome. I work from home so your dogs will get plenty of belly rubs and play time. I typically give Ripley a long walk (3 miles) after work that your pup is welcome to join or we can just stick to outdoor play time. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog that would love to play outside with your pup. I will send you daily updates and photos. I am happy to accommodate crate-trained dogs (bring your own crate) or dogs that roam a little bit more free (provided they don’t have destructive tendencies😂). I am a bit of a toasty sleeper so unfortunately no dogs in the bed, but they are welcome to sleep at the foot of my bed or anywhere else in the house!
About: I have had dogs almost all my life. From as early as I can remember I have enjoyed the character of dogs and how they interact with the world around them. Curious, loving, direct, playful, and led by natural instincts. I am a certified professional dog groomer that also offers these additional services to include well rounded pet care. I currently do work at home and can be pretty flexible with scheduling. I can take new appointments within a day or two. I prefer three days notice to cancel but handle all situations case by case. When caring for a beloved four-legged fur baby I treat them with the love I show my own pet companion with kindness, love, compassion, and comfort. I typically allow pets on my furniture and interact with them throughout the day. I enjoy walking with and having playtime in the yard or at a nearby dog park. If there is a more structured environment that you prefer with your dog that can almost always be accommodated.

“Great communications (several check ins, including picture) to let me know my mini goldendoodle Enzo was settling in with the other dogs and doing well during his first day. Enzo was calm and confident when I picked him up - indicating it was a good experience for him too :) Thanks!”

“Erika was able to meet with me on a moment's notice and was very reliable. She even worked it out to drive a little farther than she would have liked. Thank you Erika!”
“Melissa went above and beyond!! When our little dog needed to get to the vet unexpectedly, Melissa got him there! Kind heart, great care and very conscientious!! Thank you Melissa!!”

About: I have cared for my friend’s dogs while they are away many times. I enjoy providing animals with enrichment and making sure they get ample exercise. I am careful around new dogs to let them show me what kind of care they prefer, and strive to make my time with them as enjoyable as possible for both of us. I have full time evening employment. I am available to care for pets Sunday-Thursday 9am to 2pm (meaning my latest available visit would start at 1:30pm for an 30 min visit), and All day Fridays and Saturdays! I have lots of experience with sneaky animals who love eating things they are not supposed to eat or hiding in places they should not be. I am diligent with putting away foodstuffs and making sure doors/ screens are shut. Please let me know if your pet has these behaviors so I can be prepared before the visit.
“Came over the day before to meet Sawyer. Went for walk on trail near my house even though I said they could just walk the neighborhood. Went above and beyond, would book again!”

About: I take my dog (Louie) on walks daily, so I would love to add your dog to our routine! I’ve been dog sitting for 20+ years, in addition to my family always having at least one dog. I personally love smaller dogs. I have experience with rat terriers, cavapoo, yorkies and cavalier king charles breeds. I love pets and think they’re so important to a family! Let me help you keep your pet happy and healthy 😁 I live on the Plaza so I’m in a very walkable part of town, near many parks. I walk my dog in the evenings after work - a quick workout for both of us. We love to walk around Kansas City together! When I’m home, Louie is always right by my side - on the couch, in bed or even while I’m cooking. I crate him most nights and while I’m at work. I live in an apartment so walks are very necessary - we go on at least one a day or we run in my apartment’s dog park. Would love to add your dog to the mix!

“Ron was terrific! I loved that I was able to find a walker in my neighborhood. He and Kerry bonded and they both seemed to love each other’s company.”

“Kimball is wonderful! She happily met our pup beforehand and was very professional and attentive to her needs. She did a great job of walking her and loving on her, making sure she got a good walk in while we are at work.”
About: I've been living my dream for the past three and a half years, pet-sitting in exchange for accommodation as I travel the U.S. as a full-time digital nomad. My extensive nomadic pet-sitting experience has largely been built through a different platform (where I have over 50 five-star reviews for my pet-sitting services) while I worked an unrelated job remotely, but I have converted to / added on Rover in light of being impacted by a mass layoff several months ago. As you can see, I've completed Rover sits in other parts of the U.S. But, Kansas (City) is my home base (I used to live in KC, and I have family/friends all over the area), and I'll be back for a bit in July. I am certainly looking to spend some time in the city while I'm in the area this summer, and I know from experience that pet-sitting is a great way to do it! In the aftermath of my layoff, I have remained very stable through remote side gigs and projects that keep me busy and fulfilled (e.g., a paid remote internship teaching me something new, travel blogging). Still, I have more flexibility in my days to travel to other parts of town and do my work in various settings, so I enjoy utilizing my extensive pet-sitting experience to even further stabilize my life financially. Over the past few years, I've cared for all sorts of pets, ranging from one healthy cat to a seven-animal pack including previously-stray dogs who need to be proven to that they're safe. I've truly made some best friends in these pets; my top favorites have been pitbulls with a personality, as well as cats who provide me some freedom in my daily routine. I've also provided all sorts of medical care to my furry friends: simple pills in pill pockets, "pilling" a cat, checking glucose levels of a diabetic cat and giving it insulin injections, giving a dog allergy immunizations, post-seizure comfort care to a dog, and sincere patience with senior dogs on walks, going up stairs, or who are in the stage of life of needing to wear diapers. I've also watched service dogs who adhere to a different set of rules/commands than their siblings. (When I was younger, I helped train a litter of puppies, so that's also not foreign to me.) While my experience is top-quality, I also have a true love for just spending time with animals, especially dogs and cats. What you can count on from me as your pet-sitter: 1) I will send at least one/two picture(s) a day (if not more because you request it or they do something extra cute/funny!), 2) I will end the sit with various nicknames for them, 3) I will talk to them all day and invite them into every room I hang out in (as long as they're allowed), and 4) I am very attentive to their nonverbal cues, and I will contact you and/or a virtual vet if something seems really off. Pet-sitting has been such a huge part of my nomadic journey thus far, and I've absolutely loved it. . . . I see an opportunity through Rover to monetize and further stabilize my life - as I conduct a full-time job search and pursue adventures I have planned, but also beyond. In my profile pictures, I have included some of my reviews on the other platform I've used for the past few years. If a pet-owner is still curious, I would be happy to provide them with my full profile link. I'm a digital nomad, and pet-sitting has been such a huge part of my journey! I am excited to be back in Kansas City for a bit this summer, and I'm eager to share my time with your pets! My calendar is updated for those dates I'm available. I've spent lots of time in KC over the years, through pet-sitting and living there before I got on the road. I can start my days early and stay up late; I've watched pets who rise before the sun comes up, as well as ones who sleep in like teenagers! I have a lot of remote, digital work to do (ranging from my remote internship to my full-time job search, to running a blog), and your pet is welcome to sit in my lap / at my feet while I work. In my part-time employment era, I have more flexibility and time on my hands, so I figure I might as well expand my time with pets! I look forward to keeping your pets company overnight while watching over your home. But, if you just need someone throughout the day, I love a good coffee shop, so I can hang out at one in your area between drop-ins. In my free time, I enjoy blogging/writing, reading, practicing yoga, cooking and baking, enjoying coffee shops and parks, and going on walks. So, both energetic and calm pets will have a buddy in me. I love a good night in, but I also love to explore new neighborhoods. I look forward to doing so while watching over your furry family! I only agree to pet-sits I feel confident about meeting the pet/home-owners' expectations. Luckily for those searching for the best care for their fur family, I have an extremely wide range of successful experience, including medical/anxiety/senior and home care. Some pets simply need--and want--a human to take them outside and feed them. Others require a bit more attention. I think I really have done it all. I've watched over and bonded with eager, cuddly pets, as well as many rescued/previously-stray dogs who take quite a bit of time to warm up, and cats who fill the litter box and empty the food bowl but rarely show their face. I'm always eager to give the animals my love and affection, should they welcome it, and to fulfill their care needs. I follow all procedures and care that your pet is used to / that you request for them and your home. I am very attentive to pet-owners' instructions, from feeding instructions to crating needs during specific amounts of time alone/overnight, to medication instructions and signs to look out for, to times your fur baby needs to be let out or wants to wake for the day or go to bed. If your pet loves to cuddle and is allowed in the bed or on the couch, they will be welcome to join me. Additionally, I've been astounded to learn how important the HOUSE-sitting portion can be. . . . I've saved a flooding bathroom caused by the connected unit, handled a creepy neighbor while keeping the homeowner involved, kept a saltwater pool clean and operating, oversaw an AC and furnace replacement, and more. Especially for overnight stays, I am known to leave homes just as clean if not cleaner than I found them, with bedding and towels taken care of if my departure time allows.
“Patricia did a wonderful job walking our pup! She was very communicative and I loved the updates she gave us! She went above and beyond. I highly recommend!”

“Professional, accommodating, and reliable. Ashley did a wonderful job looking after my senior dog whilst I was out of town. I wouldn't hesitate to utilize her services again in the future!”

“My dog has only had 2 walks so far with Caitlin but he seems to really enjoy them. Caitlin is very kind, considerate and reliable. Blizzard is looking forward to his bi-weekly walks!”

As a lifelong dog lover and dog owner myself, I understand that pets are family and deserve to be treated with love, patience, and attention. Since relocating to Kansas City, I’ve cared for two Afghan Hounds through overnight house sitting, including a senior dog that required extra attention and care. Whether your pet is young and energetic or older and needs a gentler approach, I am committed to providing reliable, loving care tailored to their needs. I’m also a proud first-time cat owner and have experience cat sitting for friends in Los Angeles. I understand that cats need patience, comfort, and personalized care to feel safe and happy while you’re away. 🐾 My goal is to make both pets and owners feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free while they’re apart. I treat every dog as if they were my own and look forward to meeting your furry family member! Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the attention they deserve, whether it's daily visits, walks, overnight stays, or extended care. I make it a priority to keep owners updated and ensure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while they're away. My top priority is making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their familiar environment. I follow each pet's routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions provided by the owner.

“Jessica and her family treat Louie like he’s their own. I love the pictures of her kids cuddling him and making him feel at home. It makes me happy to know he’s well taken care of while I’m away!”

“Can’t speak highly enough about this sitter! Ruby was in heaven playing ball and part of the whole family’s activities. Lots of communication and very flexible with my schedule. Definitely will be using again when I’m back in town!”
