Highly-rated overnight sitters - Birmingham
“Nelson stayed with Noreen over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. She sent pictures of him in the morning, afternoons, and evening each day of his stay. She was very communicative and I didn't have to wonder how he was doing. Noreen was very accommodating to Nelson's diet. He stayed with two of his toys, his special food bowl, treats, and leashes. Noreen had a bed for him to sleep on and water bowls. Pictures showed Nelson enjoying being out in their backyard, going for walks, and playing with the other dogs. It appears he had a great time and I am very grateful that he got to stay with such a nice family over the holiday weekend. I had booked his stay on short notice because it had slipped my mind in preparation for my upcoming trip. All of the local kennels for boarding were booked. Noreen made it very easy for me to book his stay. It was very much appreciated. I highly recommend using her services and would definitely book again.”

“Lona and Alan took such great care of my Goldendoodle! They were very kind, stayed in touch with regular updates and pictures, and were super responsive anytime I checked in. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. Highly recommend them!”

“The best dog sitter in KC! My dog Coco has the best time with Angelica and her dogs. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog sitter who's friendly, accommodating, and an overall great experience. You can tell she really cares about you and your dog”

“This was our fist time boarding our dogs. They did great and loved Joseph. He made them feel comfortable right away. They came back happy and tired. Would definitely recommend Joseph.”

“Dominic and his team at home took great care of Maddie. She came home worn out from all the playing with the other dogs. They have a great yard for outdoor playtime and plenty of beds all around (and a lap or two).”

“Taylor always takes the best care of our doggo! She's great with timeliness and communication. She's also wonderful with her updates/pictures during longer stays.”

“Roxie loves Naji and so do we! We love that we get regular videos of what is going on. We also appreciate Naji's patience with our very spirited child. We wouldn't want to leave Roxie with anyone else!”

“Booking with Mackenzie was a breeze from start to finish-even with issues on my end with flights/pick up, she was great! I appreciated knowing our dogs were ok for an entire week with someone new and came home happy. Thank you and we will definitely be using/recommending you for future needs!”

“Ashley is amazing! This was our first time using Rover. We set up a meet-and-greet first and we knew then our dog would be in great hands. Ashley is so full of love and care for dogs! She has great communication and sent photos every day. She was cognizant of our dog’s dietary restrictions. We had a great trip knowing our dog was well taken care of by Ashley! We will definitely be using her again!”

“Abigail was amazing! We needed a last minute dog sitter. She was super quick to respond and was glad to help. We were gone for a couple days. She was very communicative, sending us updates and photos throughout. Abigail clearly has a love for animals and knowledge about caring for dogs. We’re so grateful for her accommodating our last minute request and would highly recommend her to other potential clients.”

“Excellent experience from start to finish! I was a little nervous dropping off our 8 month old Siberian Husky because it was our first time sending him off for boarding while we went away on vacation. Heck, it was our first time separated from him for any amount of time lol. Kristina had excellent communication from the first time I reached out and really put my mind at ease while we chatted as I dropped off our pup. She sent daily updates, either texts or pics, or both, and was quick to respond anytime I reached out. Our pup loved it there and even be-friended her German Shepherd. I can tell he misses his new buddy too by his body language after picking him up lol. He's happy to be home, but definitely bummed to part ways with his new BFF. Will absolutely make plans for Odin to stay with Kristina anytime we need boarding in the future.”

“We could not have asked for more! Our boys were loved in from the minute they arrived at Ashley’s tik the time we left. Our kids got such a kick out of the little bandanas she made them. I really appreciated that special touch and all of the pictures and videos she sent throughout the day!”

“Laurie was patient and caring with Addie, allowing her space yet partnership in navigating her first big outing away from mom. In conjunction, Laurie was amazing with mom (me), providing periodic updates in the form of messages, pictures, and videos. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better friend for Addie. I have already booked upcoming dates with Laurie for Addie, having comfort in her care both today and in the future. Thank you, Laurie!”

“Great experience and a wonderful family. They loved our dog like he was their own. From the pictures they sent us, Sarge looked like he was living his best life while we were gone. Definitely a 5 star stay.”

“Rachel was great! She clearly cares about and has the ability to put our dog at ease throughout the stay. We appreciated her flexibility and detailed updates. Would highly recommend! We hope to have her care for our dog again!”

“Nicole was great with my pup Marley. Even though he is only 8 months old Marley is very large and full of energy. She was able to make his stay great and I feel like he misses her dog when he got back home. She kept me updated when I was gone and Marley is still as happy as ever.”

“Robin is a gem. I'm pretty sure our cat, toby, was sorry to see us come home because Robin spoiled him. Seriously, she took the extra steps to ensure that Toby was safe and comfortable while we were away. She played with him and brought special treats from home. She made sure his litter box was cleaned daily and his water was fresh. She updated us daily with photos. I highly recommend Robin and I know we will be using her again.”

“Amanda is absolutely incredible😭 I cannot say it enough. She got my big ginger Simba to come out when he traditionally hides from strangers. She made my babies feel so safe. She is also soooo good at communicating. I trust her completely and will forever book her to watch my babies😍”

“We always try to book Billie Jo first anytime we’re out of town! She’s so sweet to our kitties. Thanks for always taking such great care of Artichoke and now Betty, too! ☺️”

“Theresa is so communicative and thorough! I felt at ease having her care for our “senior” cat. He’s a bit high maintenance but Theresa was up for the task, being so understanding, patient and kind.”

“Emma stayed with my cat Patrick for a week while I was in another state for work. Patrick needs some special attention and takes daily medication. She did a great job making sure he was taking care of and comfortable! Additionally, she communicated with me well and made sure to send me some pictures every day!”

“It was comforting to know Lucy (my cat) was being well taken care of while I was away. Kat kept me informed...including pictures. She spoiled Lucy with attention. I'm sure Lucy is looking forward to me leaving on another trip!”

“Jenna is a doll. She went above and beyond with my kitties. They love her and I was so thankful she even very proactively dealt with a water leak the moment she arrived! Both kitties got nail trims and lots of snuggles and playtime. Jenna is responsive, thoughtful and was a pleasure to have as a cat and house sitter both!! I will be asking her to return on my next trip!”

“Emma is great. She got my shy cat to warm up to her immediately. It's clear she has a way with animals and is great with communication. Her care really set my mind at ease while I was away!”

“Kodiak was the best! They were super reliable, sent us updates and photos every day, and took great care of our kitties. It was really nice not having to worry when we were gone! When we got home there was a handwritten card and toys left for our cats, that was such a thoughtful touch and honestly made our day. We’d absolutely rebook and would recommend them to anyone! :)”

“Paola was wonderful to my babies and always made the extra effort. She was on time and spent the entire hour with my babies and I truly appreciate that. She sent me photos, I missed them so much its my first time away from my kitten the pictures were so appreciated. Thanks so much Paola and if I go out of town again im going to be hoping to have you watch them! 🫶🏼”

“Kyle was great. Ella is an insulin dependent diabetic and he reliably made visits to time her dosing appropriately. He was also available on short notice which really helped me out. Many thanks Kyle!”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and it seemed the family dogs always gravitated toward me. I can’t imagine life without them! I’ve been caring for other’s dogs ever since I got my drivers license. The first dog I watched for a family (a beautiful Alaskan husky) had diabetes and required diabetic shots twice a day. Even though it hurt to have to give him shots, I loved having the opportunity to care for dogs other than my own. Since then I’ve had the opportunity of being the go-to dog watcher for several families with several different dog (and cat) breeds. I will make every effort to give your dog the same care that I was able to give Skyler and the rest of the dogs I’ve had the great fortune of watching and taking care of. There’s not many things that give me more joy than spending time with dogs. Now that I have more time on my hands in my 30’s I have recently gotten connected with volunteering with KC Pet Project. Dogs deserve all the love in the world. I currently work from home Monday and Friday so in addition to the weekend, it opens up availability to be present for the doggie. I’m in the office Tuesday - Thursday but available for morning/evening and quick bathroom breaks over lunch. I have a fenced in backyard and ample space inside the house to make your dog comfortable. I can crate if needed, but also have rooms that can function as “dog” rooms for the periods when I need to leave the house. I have my own Belgian Malinois, who mostly does her own thing. :)

Rest assured, your furry companions will receive dedicated care and supervision, as I am always present and ready to meet their needs. The way I care for pets in my home or a client's home depends on the specific service being provided. Here are a few scenarios: In the client's home: Pet Sitting: When providing pet sitting services at a client's home, I make sure to replicate the pet's daily routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding them according to their usual schedule, providing fresh water, cleaning litter boxes, taking dogs for walks, and engaging in playtime or exercise based on their specific needs. I also offer companionship and affection to help reduce any separation anxiety they may experience. Drop-in Visits: During drop-in visits, I visit the client's home at scheduled times to check on their pets. I ensure they have food and water, clean litter boxes, let dogs out for bathroom breaks, and spend quality time with them, offering play and affection. Dog Walking: For dog walking services, I take the dogs on stimulating walks to provide exercise, mental stimulation, and an opportunity for bathroom breaks. I follow any instructions regarding route preferences, leash handling, or specific behavioral considerations. Regardless of the service provided, the well-being, safety, and happiness of the pets are my top priorities. I strive to create a comfortable and nurturing environment, maintain their regular routines, and shower them with love and attention, just as their owners would.
“Josie was great! She kept the communication going while we were out of town so we were always kept up to date on Wrigley and if she had any questions or anything. She knew how to introduce herself to him so he felt comfortable while we were gone, and that was the most important part for us. We'll definitely be using Josie again next time we need a dog walker”

“I booked with Taylor to watch my dog for a couple hours one morning. He has separation anxiety. She understands the needs for a dog with SA and was able to help manage his nerves while we were gone for some errands.”

“Amanda was great, we went and did a visit. The visit went very well and her dog was very friendly and has a large backyard to run in. Amanda was very informative about the daycare that is provided and she would send videos during the day if you wanted.”

“Naji watched our 3yr old weimeraner for an evening while we went to a wedding. She let us bring him over the day before for a ‘meet and greet’ with her dogs which was so helpful for us to see how they would interact. I also appreciated that she sent a few photos while we were gone. ☺️”

“Here's a review you can use: Brent did an excellent job taking care of my dog, Winnie, while I was on vacation. Knowing that Winnie was in good hands allowed me to fully enjoy my time away. Brent provided regular updates throughout the week, which gave me great peace of mind. It was like a home away from home for Winnie. I will definitely be using Brent again in the future!”

“I cannot recommend Lona & Alan enough! They took such amazing care of my dogs. From the daily updates and photos to their attentive care, I felt completely at ease knowing they were in great hands. I will definitely be booking with them again in the future!”

About: My husband and I have experience in caring for puppies and senior dogs with medical needs. We got both of our dogs as puppies and we have experience in all types of dogs and age. We understand how to handle tense situations when it comes to introducing animals to new animals and humans. All pets are supervised during meal time to be sure feeding goes smoothly. I have slow feeding bowls as well. My husband and I both work from home. Day starts at 7 am with potty breaks. Breakfast is served around 8 am followed by a treat. I always make sure we spend at least an hour outside everyday on top of 15 min potty breaks every 3-5 hours. It’s important to dedicate some play time with the dogs. Helps us too! I have a few dog bed, a large play pen, lots of toys, and partial fence back yard. Dogs are free to roam inside and outside while being supervised. I’ll make sure your dog eye boogers and mouth are wiped. I take a lot of pictures and videos so you’ll be receiving a lot of follow up. Your dogs will be treated like my own!

About: While this is my start of professional dog sitting, I’ve been watching family and friends’ pets for many years. I even fostered a dog with behavioral issues a couple of years ago. My dog is my whole world and any pet in my care gets the same attention. I WFH most days, going into the office for a half a day every Wednesday and 3 full days at the beginning of the month. My job doesn’t require me to be glued to my computer so I can be very flexible with my schedule most days. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of space to runaround. For wet or cold days, I have a mostly empty finished basement for playing. For dogs that want daily walks, I live in a safe neighborhood where I walk my own dog multiple times a day.
“Misti was so wonderful and so sweet to our puppy! She took great care of him while we had an event and was very flexible with pick up and drop off times. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

About: I have had pets all my life from dogs and cats to gerbils, hamsters and fish. Even as a young child I was primarily responsible for most of the routine daily pet care. I'm a trained CNA with applicable caregiving skills. I also have extensive experience as a shelter volunteer having walked the dog and played with them as well as socializing the cats. I'm currently self employed as a home care aide and wish to take care of animals in between assignments or during days off. I do not have any responsibilities that would interfere with me taking care of your fur babies. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do have a yard stake. I live in a townhouse with an open grass backyard. I regularly take my dog to The Liberty, MO Stockdale dog park and can take yours there too if that's your preference. If you wish I can walk your dog as many times per day as you prefer. My neighborhood has paved sidewalks and walking paths that I routinely use to walk my dog daily. I have one cat and one dog and each get along with other cats and dogs very well but should there be any unforeseen issue, I can put your pet in my spare bedroom. I also own a wire dog crate for large dogs. I can crate your pet in your home or my home if you wish me to. I will take care of him or her in whichever way you prefer. I do not crate my dog but I did as a puppy to facilitate his potty training. My dog sleeps with me at night as does my cat sometimes. Both are friendly and well socialized but again, I can put either in a spare room or your pet if necessary. Both my pets are up to date on their vaccinations and they get a monthly pill for flea and tick prevention. I can do everything from long or short walks, taking them outside for potty breaks, administering food or medicine, playtime, etc.
About: I’ve had yorkie’s, dobie’s, lab’s, shepherd’s and schnauzer’s. My little Stevie passed away in April after 13 years together. She can’t be replaced so I’m looking to fill the void by caring for others while my heart mends. I have a lot of free time without a set schedule so there is always time to snuggle and play and go for walks together. I have a 4’ tall fenced yard with neighbors that have dogs too. I stay outside with the dogs and do not leave them alone. Dogs will have the run of my house and are allowed on the furniture and the beds too.
“Mackenzie was amazing, she took my booking last minute for my pup. Her dogs got along incredibly with mine. She will be who I move forward with, should I need someone to watch my pup. Highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was just 7 years old. My passion is caring for others. I know how to work with dogs with emotional and behavioral issues. I know how to handle dogs even big dogs that pull on the leash. I can help keep training consistent. I run a home daycare and help care for my mom and homeschool my autistic son with time, room and love to give your doggies. I do have a dog and 2 cats of my own that don't get along so I have to switch out their living room social time and will ensure your animals has some social time as well. I am able to care for 3 more dogs at a time. I have a large basement with an unfinished room that I put a baby gate up for the door and I have 2 kennels. If I have 3 dogs at once I will rotate the dogs out to make sure that one does not have to stay in a kennel too long. I will ensure your doggy always has food and water available and frequent bathroom breaks with plenty of love and social time. I have a semi big yard with a 20 foot tie down lead to ensure your dog has enough room to run around but won't get away. I also have a small plastic kiddie pool I fill up for the doggies to get in and enjoy!

About: I grew up on a farm with many types of animals and hard work. I have worked in veterinary clinics as a kennel attendant and now a veterinary assistant for over 10 years. I have experience with dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I'm comfortable caring for elderly and sick pets as well as giving medications. I live and work in the Liberty MO area. I am an early morning person and can do early morning drop in visits and walks before 7 am (including weekends and holidays). I typically get my lunch break between 12-2 pm. I can come and do a drop in visit or do a short walk over my break. Evenings are a possibility but are less flexible and open. I can offer enrichment with treats, playtime and exercise. I like a good cuddle session as well as a hyper wrestling match, or active fetch game. I enjoy being out in God's creation and am open to more nature based walks if you have an active curious pup (like my own dog). I think cats should also be enriched and loved. I like playing games with cats and helping them feel comfortable and spoiled. I have owned a lizard of my own and am not afraid of reptiles or rodents. I think exotic pets need enrichment, entertainment, and love as well.
“Arrived to visits on time, took lots of pics, made sure food and water were filled, but most importantly, Gus enjoyed her and was comfortable with her!!! Will definitely hire Michaela again.”

“I have been so pleased with Kodiak walking my dog on a regular basis. I get great feedback and pictures of of Barbie out on her walk. It’s been a relief to find someone so responsible and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend Kodiak to anyone who needs a trusted dog walker or sitter!”

About: I've been around animals my entire life and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets. I grew up with dogs and have years of hands-on experience caring for animals of different personalities and needs. Currently, I have a large, energetic dog and a bunny of my own, so I'm comfortable caring for both dogs and small animals. I also previously volunteered as a foster for a local humane society, where I cared for dogs as they adjusted to new environments and prepared for their forever homes. That experience taught me patience, how to read animal body language, and how to help pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a calm companion, I'll make sure they receive the same love, attention, and care that I give my own pets. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, and stress-free experience while you're away, giving you peace of mind that your furry family member is in caring hands. I am currently on summer break so my schedule is pretty flexible. After summers I am free for drop ins in the morning and after school, and weekends! I have worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I look forward to loving your pup like my own for a short time! I will send updates and pictures while you are away!

About: I have, alongside owning pets, cared for many within and outside of my family for 6 years now. I know to care for dogs, cats, big and small. I can only do it mostly on weekends or early mornings on any other day. My days off from my regular job are Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday so if you need anything on those days then I am your gal! We take care of many pets in our home. We have 4 cats, and 5 dogs, one including a standard poodle but they have plenty of room in and outside of the house so they can have fun and roam!
About: I have owned a dog and cats for many years. I will care for and love your pet as I do my own dog, Ozzie. I have over 10 years' experience caring for family pets. I recently retired and I am currently working from home part-time; therefore, I will have plenty of time to provide love and care for your pet. I have a three-year-old Aussie Doodle who is very loving and playful. His name is Ozzie. I have comfortable bedding throughout the house. I can crate your dog if needed. I will provide a very loving home environment.

About: I’m so glad you’ve taken the time to visit my page. Hi! I’m Kiri! I’ve provided care for dogs, cats, and many types of exotic pets for decades. I grew up on a nature sanctuary where I learned to care for animals at a very young age. Nothing brings me more happiness than to see an animal thriving in my care. I have walked and cared for dogs as large as Great Danes to as small as chihuahuas. I have owned my own dogs, cats. No animal is beyond my scope of care. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved pets and giving them the care of royalty. I currently am self employed so my availability is wide open. I would love to be your go to dog walker and establish a well rounded routine of care. I will come to your place, provide my own leash, treats, and doggy bags, and will walk your dog from half an hour to an hour depending on what you are wanting. I will feed and water any and all pets, change out litter boxes.
About: I’ve been an avid animal lover ever since I can remember. Rest assured, you fur-baby is in good hands with me. Animals are my passion; working with them is a bonus! I work from home, & my availability is fairly open. I can also be pretty flexible to accommodate different schedules, making things a little more stress-free! In my home, my fur-baby is treated just as a human would be. She’s very well trained, so I don’t use any methods of locking her up when I leave. She is free to roam! I will do what you prefer and what accommodates your lifestyle.
About: I have taken care of pets for a very long time and have always had pets in my home. Friends have relied on me for dog sitting and letting them out on multiple occasions and have always been satisfied! I am a full time nanny to 2 beautiful little girls! I am available after 6 pm unless your pet is kid friendly & you don’t mind them coming with me! I live in an apartment so we go out on a leash and they have full access to my home! If I were to pet sit in your home I would walk your dog and make sure they get plenty of exercise

“Misti provided good updates with cute pictures of my dog! She is a senior dog who needs lots of medications but I felt comfortable leaving her in Misti’s care. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Sharon and Glen provided a nice meet and greet, which was reassuring and permitted my dog to meet their dogs. I needed a long stay and they were able to accommodate at a reasonable price. They sent pictures to update me during our vacation. My dog seemed happy with the arrangement as well! Thank you for a great experience!”
