About: 🐱 I’ve been around cats for most of my life and currently have two of my own. I found my emotional support cat in 2015, and he’s been by my side ever since- even traveling with me through college. In December 2024, I adopted another sweet girl cat, so caring for cats has become a huge part of my everyday life. I also volunteer at a shelter as a “Cat Buddy,” where I spend time socializing and caring for cats with all kinds of personalities and comfort levels. Over the years, I’ve developed a really special connection with cats and genuinely love earning their trust, whether they’re playful, shy, independent, or super affectionate. I know every cat is different, and I always try to make them feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away through patience, attention, play, and companionship.

“This was our first experience using Rover. Thank you for making it so easy. Macy S was the best! She was so polite and conscientious. She sent the cutest pictures of our cats warming up to her and it made us feel relieved they were safe so we could enjoy our time away from them. Overall very positive experience. Would use Rover again.”

“Highly recommend Jessica!! Our kitty needed extra special care due to twice a day insulin shots and a fear of strangers. She went above and beyond to make sure our challenging cat was medicated and fed and picked up the messes our nervous kitty made and did an incredible job with communication throughout. We came home to a clean house and a happy and healthy cat. I was beyond impressed.”

“Audrey, is a wonderful calm and attentive caregiver to my lovely pup. She has a great sense of style in her professional life. I will definitely love to keeping her on my team for caring for my pup. O”

“This was my first time using Rover. Sierra checked in on my two cats while I was out of town (twice daily). We had recently got the second cat and she was very helpful in continuing their integration while we were away and ensured they were properly fed and healthy. Will be booking again.”

About: As a cat owner myself, I understand that cats aren't just pets, they're family. I also know that every cat has their own unique personality, preferences, and routine. Some cats love attention and playtime, while others prefer their space and a calm, familiar environment. My goal is always to provide care that makes your cat feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while you're away. I have over a year of pet-sitting experience, have owned cats for over 7 years, and am comfortable caring for cats with a variety of temperaments and needs. Whether your cat needs feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance, play sessions, medication reminders, or simply a friendly companion to check in on them, I'm happy to help. I pride myself on being reliable, attentive, and communicative. I'll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your cat is receiving the same care and attention I would want for my own. I look forward to meeting you and your feline family member!

About: I've taken care of cats ever since I was 10! I always love meeting new cats, and I always offer to feed my friend's cats when I'm over. I have a long-haired black cat named Mori who I brush frequently. She has taught me boundaries and also how to train her not to scratch furniture.

“Abigail was wonderful with my boys, and very communicative each time she dropped in to care for them. It was a holiday week so I was very happy to have gotten her booked.”

“Cherise easily and quickly won the hearts of our visitor-shy cats. She gave them so much love and attention each visit. We especially loved the photo and video updates. Forever grateful to have piece of mind that our fur kids were taken care of while we were away.”

“Tanya did a great job watching my sibling cats, one of whom has some litter issues & the other went on a hunger strike - she rolled with the punches & was very communicative throughout. Can highly recommend!”

“Athena was extremely reliable and communicated well while I was out of the country for a few weeks. I felt very at ease knowing she was around to visit my cat and give him some love every day. Would absolutely book her again!”

“As always, when I come home after Jennifer cares for Miss Greycie and Sir Charlie, the kitties are both happy and chill! They LOVE their Auntie Jennifer because they know she LOVES them. I highly recommend Jennifer! 💖”

“Addison was absolutely amazing with Phoebe. She was very thorough in her daily updates and always provided lots of pictures. I have a more anxious cat around people and she was very good at respecting her boundaries and listening to her cues. I would definitely recommend Addison to anyone looking for someone to watch their pets while they are away :)”

About: I have always had dogs in my life and became the extended family pet-sitter in my early teen years. My care ranges from puppies to senior dogs. I am not a certified trainer but I follow any rules, skills or tricks your dog has developed or is working on. I have had 8 dogs in my lifetime. My oldest dog lived to be 15.5 years old. I've cared for dogs with medical needs - kidney disease, seizures, hip dysplasia, depression and anxiety. I have administered medication in all forms. About: I set the intention of pet care to being a friend to your pet and partner to you. I respect boundaries and priorities as needed. I currently work flexible hours throughout the week based off clientele. This would be an addition to my job as some days I have the entire day off or atleast half of it. Your pet always comes first. I take care of others pets like I’d expect a stranger to walk in and take care of mine. I want to leave with the intention that if I were to come back, your pet would open the door.

About: I’m an Animal Science graduate and I train service dogs with Can Do Canines, so I have a lot of experience working with dogs in different environments and understanding their behavior and needs. I’ve worked with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m very attentive to body language and routines, and I always try to make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away. I also grew up with dogs and have hands-on experience raising and training my own family pets—including a feisty dachshund puppy who I helped train into a gentle, well-behaved dog, along with two other dogs with strong obedience and great temperaments. My background means I naturally reinforce good habits, use positive reinforcement, and keep things consistent with what your pet already knows. I truly love spending time with animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just giving them some extra attention and cuddles. After graduating from UMN, I’ll be working part-time at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville (around 20 hours per week). My schedule varies slightly week to week, but this also gives me a lot of flexibility for pet care. Outside of my shifts, I have a wide availability and love filling my time caring for pets. I’m happy to work with your schedule and can often accommodate mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended stays. I currently provide care in clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable in their own environment and routine. I always take the time to learn your pet’s schedule, preferences, and any specific instructions so I can keep things as consistent and stress-free as possible. Safety is my top priority. I’m very attentive to surroundings on walks and in the home, and always monitor pets closely. With my background training service dogs, I’m confident handling a variety of behaviors and situations calmly and responsibly. I also have experience administering medications, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, and I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions when needed. I respect your home as if it were my own, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly how you left them. I’m happy to send regular updates, photos, and communicate as much as you’d like so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
“Shayla has been an amazing dog walker for our little Mabel! She’s very attentive, fast at communicating, always takes lots of pictures and always fills out the Rover card! If I could give her ten stars, I would! 😊”

About: I’ve had different breeds of both cats and dogs throughout my entire childhood so I understand the responsibilities needed to properly take care of a variety of pets. My parents have also been on Rover for a couple of years and I alway love helping them out! This also means I understand the apps processes and how to navigate it. I’m a college student at Macalester college, so right now I’m on summer break. I am flexible with owners schedules and willing to driving all around the metro for visits or at home stays! I can do whatever the owner feels is necessary for their pet. Whether it’s putting pets into crates, or active play, or if meals need to be more hands on, I feel comfortable caring for them in pretty much any situation. I don’t have much experience caring for dogs with special needs, so some animals who need that type of assistance might be out of the realm of care I can provide.
About: I've been caring for neighborhood pets since I was 13, and now I’ve been all over the Minneapolis area! My family rescue dog and elderly cat are my babies, they make me the best temporary pet parent I can be for you. I lost one of my elderly cats rather suddenly this fall, so I can say I definitely understand the anxiety of being away from your pets especially those with health issues or behavior quirks. I do what I do because of her, and as a Minneapolis transplant away from my animals, I am more than happy to spend time with yours! I work part-time, though my hours fall in the 9-5 window. However, there is flexibility for me to work remotely for part or sometimes full days with advance notice, depending on the project. I can usually accommodate whatever exercise your pet needs! I am also a dancer, so if your dog has acute health issues or requires constant supervision, we may not be the best fit, as training does require me to be out of the house in the evening. No 4-hour rehearsals right now, but I do take class most days of the week. I'll do my best to stick to a comfortable, consistent routine for your pet and make sure they get all the proper attention and love they need while you are gone. I'm happy to accommodate any medication or feeding requirements.

About: 🐾 I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and I started dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors when I was 10. When I got my own dog at 14, I fell in love with training and taught her over 20 tricks through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with both pets and owners, and I’ve been lucky to receive referrals from people who trust me with their dogs. I love making sure dogs are not just cared for, but genuinely happy and engaged. Whether that’s walks, playtime, enrichment games, training practice, or just giving them lots of attention and affection, I always try to match each dog’s personality and energy level. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I always want them to feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. I’m a college student currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and giving pets lots of attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care is something I truly look forward to every day. I’m also studying Animal Science, which has made me even more passionate about animal care and behavior. I always want pets to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and comfort levels, and I’ll treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I would my own.
“Audrey is amazing! She is a great communicator, flexible with my schedule changes and incredible with my pups. Thanks Audrey, you’ve been a life saver with all your help with Tuck and Desi :)”
About: Worked with PAWS at the University Of Minnesota which helps people meet animals safely. It helped me educate more people about how pets support mental health and wellbeing. To be completely honest i haven’t owned a dog myself, my experience consists of sitting, walking, and hosting dogs. I’m currently taking summer classes but when im not in school i’m usually pretty free. I walk everyday in the morning so i usually like to have a buddy to accompany me! I prefer to adjust to the owner’s style rather than doing my own way. I’ve learned that cats and dogs especially can get pretty uncomfortable with sudden changes to their routines and schedules. So expect a full interrogation before i take your pet!

“Lauren is such a wonderful person! Very personable, great communication, and she took such great care of my dog Skylar. They went for an hour-long walk around my neighborhood. My walker was super communicative, accommodating, and made the process stress-free. I got updates, photos, and a happy pup at the end. Highly recommend and will use again!”

About: I have grown up with all sorts of dogs of all sizes. I have taken part in both training and caring for our family dogs, and there has not been a dog that I do not immediately love. Being with dogs is always entertaining and extremely rewarding. I am not currently working, and I have a lot of free time during my summer before my junior year of college. I am available at any time of day, and my schedule is very flexible until I start working in June. I am responsible for walking, feeding, and caring for our three dogs when my parents are working. It’s very common for me to spend time with my dogs in my down time such as playing with and accompanying them.
“We were so happy to have Abby walk our dog. She was prompt, took her on a great 2 mile walk (thanks for the pics!), and even fed her dinner and let her outside one last time before she left. We will definitely use her again! 😉 🐾”
