About: I am currently a LVT (licensed veterinary technician) since 2020. I can medicate animals and help pets with special needs. I grew up with animals and have lots of experience working with them daily. I am a full time licensed vet tech. I have one day off a week that varies and I am available after 5:30 during the work week and available some weekends! About: I specialize in large dog breeds as I have 1 Pyrenees and 1 golden retriever myself. They are both very well trained and certified ESA’s. I don’t have any special skills such as pet training, just really good with dogs. I am a full time nurse and I’m off every other week. I would love to take/walk dogs on my weeks off. I have always had a dog in my family. I’d love to hang out with your furry friends! I have two big loving dogs to keep yours company. We will spend a lot of time outside hiking and going for walks! If your pet is not staying at my house we will still have fun going for runs, walks, or being outside.

Both Boiled-Egg and Tripod have medical conditions that require at home management and care which has given me some skills in caring for animals with disabilities. They are not the only animal I have history caring for with medical issues either. Many of my experience with pets has been rescue pets, and I have had plenty practice and patience regarding them and behaviors post trauma. I am more than willing to learn about your pets needs and help medical or otherwise. I am currently focusing on college and have plenty of time to help care for your animals. The only day I will be unavailable is Sunday. I have a fenced in yard and half the house closes off by doors so the cats will not interact with your animals unless you are comfortable with it. Depending on your animals preferance I can ensure that I spend time with them or give them the space to feel comfortable and settle in. Any and all expectations set regarding their care and what food, toys, or treats they are allowed will of course be followed. I may have treats of my own I could offer them but will only do so with your approval and in amounts you allow. I do haveextra food and water bowels if you would prefer to use those rather than bringing your own. In the case something awful were to happen I have experience bringing animals to emergency.

About: I’ve taken care of my brothers pitbull and my mom’s Argentinian dogo on and off for the last six years and I love it! I’ve always loved taking care of animals, in a different life I would have been a vet! I’m new to the are and moved here to be a co manager at a clothing store. I’m hoping to fill my extra time with taking care of furry family members! I work full time as a manager at a clothing store, but have two days off during the week and usually time before or after a shift to help as well. About: I recently moved to Duluth and while I'm loving settling into a new place, I'm desperately missing the time I used to spend with my parents' dogs (a golden retriever and a yellow lab). I was always around dogs growing up, as many as two or three in the house at a time sometimes, and still take advantage of any chance I can get to spend time around dogs - big dogs, small dogs, old dogs, young dogs, any dogs! I have two cats of my own - I've moved around a lot the last several years and some of the places I lived were better suited for cats than dogs, otherwise I'd have a dog as well by this point. I commute two days a week to teach at a community college on the Iron Range, leaving my Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays-Sundays very free and flexible. I'd love to help you take care of your little loves (cats or dogs - or any other pets, really, if you're willing to teach me a bit about it!) whenever you find yourself in a spot where you can't be in two places at once or need the extra set of hands! I teach at a college on the Iron Range on Tuesdays and Thursdays - outside of some travel to see family back in Grand Rapids, my Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends are very open at the moment. I have my own vehicle and can get around easily - I'm also more than happy to transport dogs to walking trails in my own vehicle. I'm currently renting a smaller apartment that would make any visits in my own home difficult to manage, but I live close to various walking trails and love to spend time out on them. Spending quality time with animals is something that I find deeply comforting - I truly enjoy being near animals when I'm doing anything (reading, working, walking, whatever). I go above and beyond for my own cats and would treat your pets as my own. “I can’t say enough great things about how fantastic Rachel and her family were with our dog, Larry. He was there for 5 nights over the 4th of July Holiday and had the time of his life. Rachel was so good about sending lots of pictures that we really felt like we had a good idea of how much fun he was having. Rachel’s family welcomed Larry like he was one of their own and their 4 dogs did a good job of showing Larry how life on the farm works!
