“we have only worked with one other rover and typically have family watch our little guy. Due to this, we were nervous to branch out and find someone new when we relocated to MSP. We did a meet and greet with Colleen and Joe and they were wonderful. Dezi immediately took to their great yard and house and they were both so kind and willing to answer any questions and put us at ease. Dezi also loved Nico and it was clear they would be great friends. Dezi just had his first overnight with them and they were very communicative and sent pictures and updates. We are already booked for another visit and are so thankful to have found Colleen, Joe, and Nico!”

About: Hi! I really love being around dogs as I have grown up with four dogs since I was a kid! They have been my best friends my entire life and I wouldn't have traded away a single moment with them. I am experienced in taking care of dogs and love to be around them and play! Not everyone understands how much effort goes into taking care of your best friend but I do! My family currently fosters and looks after dogs which encouraged me to do something similar. “Words cannot describe how thankful we are for Izzy. We were able to truly enjoy our vacation knowing that Turkey was being so well cared for. We could fully relax knowing that Turkey was happy and enjoying herself while we were away. Izzy went far beyond any expectations we could have had. Since Turkey is a hairless cat, Izzy had to put on and take off her sweatshirts daily and carefully determine whether the weather was appropriate for walks and outdoor time — which can be tricky given Turkey’s lack of fur and grumpiness! Turkey’s ears also require regular cleaning because they collect wax easily, and Izzy helped us tremendously with that as well. Throughout our trip, we received photos and updates from Izzy, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would recommend Izzy to any family looking for someone who will give special attention, care, and love to their beloved family member. We were away for 9 days, which was the longest we have ever been apart from Turkey. When we returned home, we were amazed by how happy and comfortable Turkey was, and by how consistently Izzy maintained Turkey’s feeding schedule. Most importantly, Izzy is truly a gem of a person. About: New info- for my canine clients who are kennel trained- We have several spacious kennels and dog beds so rest assured that you dont have to bring yours. The kennels and dog beds are both washed and sanitized in between pups. We also have a dog bowls and extra poop bags on hand. For your elderly pup, pups that have recently had surgery or those with little legs- We have a doggie ramp for our stairs. I have been a pet owner for the past 20 years, mostly cats, but a few dogs. I will probably be a pet owner for the rest of my life. When I was younger I volunteered at my local animal hospital. I have previously had a Pomeranian (who was prone to seizures) as well as a terrier. I currently belong (yes they own me) 3 cats, Callie (aged 10), Simba (aged 7) and Soxxs (age unknown at least aged 5). I can't wait to meet your furry friend and have lots of fun together. I work full time Mon- Fri, so this is will be after work and on the weekends. I am willing to watch senior dogs and special needs dogs, as I believe that every dog needs love and care. I look forward to meeting you sooner rather than later. I have a fenced in yard. We do kennel when we are out of the house and during meal times to ensure your canine doesn't eat something they aren't supposed to. Winter boardings- we use pet safe sidewalk salt in addition to wiping off paws after walks. I work Mon- Fri, I am home on the weekends, as well as my husband is off on Sunday & Monday. Pets are always cared for as we are on opposite shifts. We provide plenty of walks and love for your pets. We usually stays away from dogs parks just because other dogs could be more aggressive. FAQ's: What to bring- a blanket/dog bed, toys, treats, food, leash/harness/leader, medicine (if applicable). For heat sensitive breeds: our house does have central a/c and we do have wood floors- which helps keep your pup cool. We do a potty break & breakfast in the morning (between 6 & 7 am), several walks thoughout the day. We do have littles so we do crate during meal times. We do one last potty break in the evening (between 8 & 10 pm) This can be changed as each pup is different and has different needs. We do potty breaks through our the day and several walks. My husband and I are on opposite schedules so someone is always home with the pups. We do keep dog soap on hand in the event a bath is needed.

About: Ever since I was a kid, I begged my parents for a dog every day of my life. I never got one as a kid, but I have sure made up for it since! I got involved with Grey Face Rescue and have been fostering dogs for the last 5 years. I am very proud to have gotten seven foster dogs to their forever homes. If it was up to me, I would have many dogs of my own, but I have a crazy work schedule in the summer, which would not allow me to care for a dog. In the fall, winter, and spring I love to bring animals into my home. During these months, I work from home and I am able to give many walks and lots of attention! My fosters typically get two 30 minute walks a day, which is something I also really enjoy. If your dog comes to stay with me, they would get to meet my child who loves dogs just as much as I do, and my cat who pretty much stays clear of any dog that is brought into the home. I look forward to meeting your furry friend! I work from home and have constant availability to meet any dog’s schedule. I love providing them with multiple daily walks and any sort of engagement they need. There are no off-limits areas for your dog in my home. All of our furniture is open to pets. We are very well-versed in keeping food off the counter and ensuring that is a safe environment for your dog. I even have multiple size dog beds from my years of fostering as well as toys, bowls and all the equipment so they can travel lightly!

About: I keep my home boarding low-key and personalized by welcoming only one dog, or two from the same family, at a time. So your pup will enjoy plenty of one-on-one love, play, and attention in a calm, peaceful environment where they can truly relax and feel at home. I work from home most days in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, with 1–2 days a week in the office. On home days I'm available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and check-ins. On office days, your pup will still get a solid morning and evening routine, and plenty of company once I'm back. There's no private yard, but there's a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience caring for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I've been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home a lot and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet! One or two days a week, I have to be at the office; I'll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled before I go. On Saturdays, I'm less flexible for check-in and check-out, since I'm away in the morning for volunteer work. I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).
About: Our family said goodbye to our 16 year old Jack Russell Terrier, Lou, and we are ready to open our home to our neighbor's pups for love and attention while you're away! Britt grew up with lots of dogs (and cats), and the whole family has experience caring for animals at all ages. Both Britt and Mike work from home full time, and are able to care for pets throughout the day and night. Our three children are in school and preschool in the neighborhood during the week, giving us several opportunities to go on daily walks. We have a large, fenced in backyard for dogs and our children to share. We do not require dogs to be crated at night or when we are away for short amounts of time. We do have a medium crate if their normal routine includes crating during short times alone at home. Our children are used to being around animals and know how to be gentle and respectful of space.

About: My husband and our family have been watching dogs on Rover since before it was even called Rover. We've lived overseas a few times so if you see gaps in our reviews, that is why. We are very active with our doggie guests and would love to host your dog. We typically go on walks once a day and on weekends typically try to be outside more (as the winter weather permits). We're open to requests to take your pup to dog parks, bike rides, or walks depending on your pup's preferences. Note: you will typically see delayed responses past 9PM but will get back to you as soon as I see your messages. Thanks! Both my husband and I work full time M-F but I work from home and would be able to take bathroom breaks or walks mid-day. If you needed someone to stop by and let your dog out, it would have to be within the Columbia Heights, Fridley, Shoreview area. We have a fenced in yard in the back that we take out the dogs to hang, throw a ball, or relax. Inside the house we leave it open range as long as your pup can handle no accidents, no chewing the kids' stuffies (it's hard I know!), etc. When we are gone, we do like to crate our visitors so they don't get into mischief while we are gone.

“This was the 2nd time that Sexton my puggle has been with Dave. He greeted Sexton upon arrival and confirmed all items - including food details, walk details, etc. I believe my dog was happy and well taken care of in Dave's care.”

We got lots of picture updates and she was clearly very happy and entertained and enjoyed playing with the other two dogs they were concurrently boarding. “We have used Eric and Martha 3 times in the last year and Ruby loves her stays with them. They are very flexible and easy to work with and they take such good care of our pup. I made a mistake in the last booking and they were very understanding and even went out of their way in making accommodations for us. They are both so sweet with Ruby and they care for her as if she was their own. They send alot of photos and videos, which we love. We will definitely use them again!”

“Aastha and Dan were phenomenal. Our dog gets very anxious at drop-off, and they went above and beyond to ease his transition and make him feel at home. Aastha sent many pictures and messages throughout each day and they were incredibly considerate and attentive to our dog, especially over Fourth of July fireworks. We weren't sure if he would want to come home, he was having such fun with Aastha and Dan! Highly recommend -- they will be our first choice for boarding in the future.”

“Kyle took such good care of my baby Reba! Kyle had high communication with me regarding an ear infection that my pup was struggling with and even took her to the vet when she needed to be seen. My pup was at Kyle’s for over a week and had the happiest demeanor when I picked her up. It was clear to me that she was treated well and had a good time. I’ll definitely use Kyle again for Reba’s care.”

“Nickolai was very communicative and responsive. We received pictures of our girl and updates throughout her stay with Nickolai. The home has a very large fenced-in backyard which our dog enjoyed immensely. We mentioned that our dog is accustomed to going on walks and Nickolai was kind enough to take her out for walks around the neighborhood.”
