About: Hi there! We accept small to medium-sized dogs (20 pounds max or less) and typically care for no more than 4 dogs at a time. Under our careful supervision, your pup can interact and play freely, enjoying both the house and our spacious, clean, secure and fenced-in backyard. They are not confined to kennels or cages, and can sleep wherever they feel comfortable, whether in the open or in their own crate. We have many nooks and crannies for the pups to relax in and many soft, clean blankets and pillows. They will have ample time outdoors for fresh air, exercise and fun (weather permitting), and the rest of course spent indoors, having fun, resting, playing games (we have many many puzzles and snuffle mats) and occasionally having a yummy, owner approved treat (we don't want upset tummies). They are regularly let out for potty breaks and fresh air every 1 to 2 hours, and never left unattended. WHAT WE WOULD LOVE TO KNOW: We understand each dog has their own personality, likes, dislikes, and temperament. ****A meet-n-greet is required prior to the start of any service.**** -Unless arranged by special request during the week, they are usually on Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment. -Please allow enough time prior to your reservation to arrange for the meet-n-greet. LAST MINUTE REQUESTS: We will do our best to accommodate those in tight spots, but generally we only reserve this option for established clients only. VACCINATIONS: Please ensure your pup is up-to-date with vaccinations before boarding to protect them and our little ones from illnesses. I would like to know if he/she has any medical issues, special needs, etc. A veterinarian's contact information and instructions would be required if medication is needed - this of course also applies if they have special dietary needs, allergies, etc.

I have a miniature bernedoodle and a Shih Tzu currently that I raised from puppies and they are very well behaved. I have watched an older dog who needed liquid IVs and pills and everything went well with him. I currently have three dogs at home. I work part time and can schedule work every week based around what I am doing, so I am pretty much always available as long as it’s about a week in advance. I can be at home as much as needed! I have three friendly dogs (two don’t like to play much but one loves to play) at home and no cats in the house. We do potty breaks every couple of hours which consists of just letting the dogs out in the yard which is not fenced in. Whenever I watch dogs at the house, I am always certain to take the dogs out on leash. If the puppers aren’t the best on leash that’s alright as well, I just use a harness or whatever the owners provide.

About: I have been working in clinical veterinary care for 4 years now. As I'm going back to school to complete my vet tech license, I'm looking for more flexible work that can still fulfill my love for working with animals and providing them care. Having worked in many different kinds of veterinary clinics, including overnight in patient care, I can provide high levels of care even to pets with medical needs. I am comfortable administering all kinds of medication, even to difficult pets, and am comfortable with injections and glucose checks. I can also handle bath times, nail trims, ear cleanings and more! If you need assistance with any of those things, I'm also happy to come help. Simply book as a drop in. I believe deeply in meeting pets where they're at, and learning each pets unique ways of communication and their preferences to make them as comfortable and happy as they can be. I am going to school primarily online, so I have a very flexible schedule to attend to clients' pets needs, whenever they may arise or be required. I meet all pets where they're at! I believe all animals' boundaries should be respected, and I try to learn them up front. I have 3 cats, all with different feeding needs, and an elderly dog, so I'm a master at juggling difficult feeding times and home zoos in general.

If your dog just needs to romp in their backyard, I'll follow whatever your home procedure is if they need to be cleaned up after or not. I'll also keep an eye out for indicators of stress: vomit, accidents inside the home or outside the litterbox, scratches or bites on furniture, destroyed toys, etc.

Our goal is to keep the experience for you and your pet as safe and stress free as possible. Additionally, I have First Aid and CPR Certification for cats and dogs. I am also Fear Free Certified. Being Fear Free Certified means I was trained to look at subtle signs of stress in dogs and cats before they escalate. As well as techniques to make interactions with dogs and cats less stressful. My husband works from home, and I'm also at home with my children. During the school year I do drop off and pick up for the kids. My husband is home at this time. Therefore, dogs are generally always supervised, although there may be brief periods of time we are all out of the home. We have an area designated for the dogs in our home. This helps reduce the risk of escaping and helps keep them more safe. We also have a fenced in backyard. However, we always supervise interactions in the backyard between dogs or when the dogs are alone.

I'd been having significant behavioral problems with the pup and Kayden did very well with her and offered me guidance to help get the problems under control at home. Kayden was very responsive to my questions while I was out of town and sent photos as well. Kayden was extremely well organized in managing my dog's meet 'n greet and all the elements of her six day stay. “Elizabeth and Brian were vey attentive and interested in learning my dog, Sky's, care needs prior to her stay. Sky stayed one night to make sure this was a good match before she stays longer during a summer vacation.
