For years I have been a reliable and trustworthy person among family, friends, and neighbors. I have extensive experience checking in on pets and playing with them throughout the day, dog walking, and overnight pet/house sitting for a variety of cat and dog breeds. I also have experience administering medication to pets if needed. For example, one dog I’ve watched many times had a case of kennel cough/pneumonia and/or ear infection that required daily antibiotics and ear drops. “We cannot state our appreciation for Beth further— she helped us out in a complete bind. We’re not from the area and travel with our dogs often so thought nothing of it when we had a wedding to attend in Holland but one dog decided she didn’t want to be quiet in our accommodations and we were told to figure it out or be evicted from the hotel (understandable). We put the call out to a few dog sitters over Rover and Beth responded quickly with compassion and responsiveness. We were able to drop our dogs with her after a very easy-going meeting to make sure all parties were comfortable and safe. It was easy to see Beth cared and had a great operation. I can take your dog out to a local trail or walk them in your neighborhood. With cats I would be vigilant in keeping them away from open doors unless allowed. About: I’ve had pets in my house for a majority of my life and have spent that time helping to care for them. I have also been watching others pets for about three years now, including both cats and dogs. Tasks included feeding on a schedule, taking for walks / outside to go potty, cleaning/scooping the litter box, and of course making sure they’re safe and not getting into any trouble while you’re gone. I have hands on experience in watching after and caring for a terminally ill dog for about six months. Those tasks included changing his dressing (he had an open wound that refused to heal), giving medications on a schedule, and giving enrichment that he could enjoy with limited energy. I also have hands on experience with reactive dogs, so please know that I will love your reactive pup just as much. I can do basic training, but my favorite part of the job is showering the animals with love and attention. This is my full time job! I have a few side gigs that I work on remotely and can do from just about anywhere so long as I have WiFi access to communicate with my colleagues! I’m used to many kinds of temperaments, from “you stay in your corner and I’ll stay in mine” to “I need to be as close to you as possible at all times” and will respect your dogs needs. I prefer setting up a time before the sitting starts where I can just get to know the pet(s) and get an idea of their normal schedule. This way they can meet me while everyone is home so they feel most comfortable, and I’m not a complete stranger once I begin sitting or come over to let them out for a potty break.

About: I have pet sit, walked, ran, leash trained, and mentally stimulated dogs of all breeds since a kid. Each dog needs all of these things in different ways and I am here to figure that out to insure your pup and you get the best from me. I used to be under the LLC Dogs On the Run Grand Rapids, but life (two children, moving to Holland etc) put that on hold. About: I have taken care of animas my whole life. I am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats. Comfortable giving medications if they are needed. I am home all day Thursday through Sunday. The days that I do work, there is still time set aside for each pet after I arrive home. During the warmer weather, we typically spend lots of time outside. I have a fenced in yard. I do own 3 medium-large sized dogs that are great with other dogs. I do also have a cat and a toddler. I make sure that the toddler is never left alone with the animals. If I am doing drop by visits for pets, your home will be treated with respect and your pet will be taken care of appropriately.
