Thank you so very, very much. Dorothy went beyond the call of duty in taking great care of my puppy and giving I'm plenty of exercise and fresh air. He slept most alleviating after picking him up! Ha!

Peter was great at watching my golden retriever. He is very responsible and was good at keeping in touch to keep me updated while I was away. I definitely recommend him to others. He also has a very sweet border collie.

Kendra was such a great sitter for our Watson! We dropped him off and picked him up at the pet salon in downtown East Jordan. In between, she texted us daily pictures and he seemed to make himself right at home with her family. We were able to travel without any anxiety about how he was doing. She was also nice about our late arrival time when our drive home took longer than expected. Thanks so much, Kendra!

Margalina, Joshua and their daughter were wonderful caretakers of our maltipoo for two weeks. I got adorable photos every day and regular communication about all the fun he was having becoming a farm dog (lots of great exercise). This was a last minute booking but we could not have been luckier. Our dog is a very social one but also clingy to his main caretaker, and Margalina quickly because that person! We will definitely use them again and can’t recommend them highly enough.

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, birds, and all sorts of animals since I was a kid. Once I turned 16, I started housesitting and taking care of others' dogs and cats. In the last couple years I've moved out to a farm with my boyfriend where we take care of lots of different farm animals. There is cats and a dog that live in a different house on the property and all farm animals are fenced in. Your pets can interact or be kept very far away from the farm animals. Living on 200 acres, I have lots of space to accommodate to your needs. I am free everyday except Monday and Wednesday. I am searching for a new job but until then I can do anytime on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All farm animals are kept in by fences, but we do not have any fenced in area for dogs. There is lots of yard and trails for leashed walks. If your pet comes when called, I can watch them while they explore the big back yard. Our home is a one bedroom and the cats and dog do not live with us. My boyfriend's parents live on the property and keep them inside there most of the time. It is up to you if you want them to interact with your pets or not.

About: Hi! My name is Marissa and I am 25 years old. I am an ambitious, adventurous, vivacious individual. I am currently in my second year of college at Mott Community College working toward my Associate's in Psychology, so that I may then transfer to the University of Michigan to achieve my Bachelor's. Once achieving my Bachelor's, I would like to work as a counselor for a few years before going back to school for my Master's so that I may eventually become a bereavement therapist and open a private practice. I am currently a member of the Psychology Society at Mott and I was selected to join the Mott Community College's chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success. I have been taking care of dogs of various breeds since I was old enough to take care of myself, having owned numerous amounts of dogs for about 20 years. Neighbors, friends, family, and a few Rover clients have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and spend time with their pets for the past 5 years -- possibly longer. I am not certified yet, but I intend to take a CPR & First Aid course for dogs as soon as possible -- hopefully, I never have to use it. But it would bring me peace of mind knowing that if there were ever a situation with my dog or someone else's dog, I'd know what to do. I intend to take a pet grooming course as I would be able to offer more grooming services. And lastly, I also intend to take a dog obedience/training course so that I may offer training services as well. Being a full-time student takes up the majority of my time, thus I am looking to start up cleaning, dog walking/dog-sitting, and babysitting/nannying businesses so that I may keep a steady income for the next few years. I am taking all of my classes online and will eventually switch to going on-campus for my classes, but that will most likely be in a few years when I am attending U of M -- which would require me to move out of the Northern Michigan area. As a member of the Psychology Society and the NSLS, I may occasionally need to travel for a couple of days to Flint for an event -- especially considering I may apply for and take on one of the positions in the Psychology Society. With that being said, I would prefer to have a decent amount of time to prepare and set a date on my calendar for any services I will be providing for you. I will also make sure to keep my availability up-to-date. I would also appreciate cancellations to be in advance as well, but I do understand that life happens. In clients' homes, I will take your fur baby/babies to any nearby parks and/or long walks on any trails. I offer grooming services such as bathing, ear cleaning, and hair brushing. I request that if I am in your home, you leave me a list of my responsibilities. I do not mind caring for young puppies that are still in the process of potty training. I just request that you let me know exactly what cleaning supplies you would like me to use to clean up any messes if he/she has an accident -- preferably this won't happen as I will be around and will have the time necessary to avoid accidents inside. Currently, I am not offering boarding or doggy daycare services because my dog does not get along well with other dogs. But I do plan to start offering those services again in the future... I have a decent-sized yard, but it is not fenced in. I have a leash hooked up outside to easily let your dog/dogs out for potty breaks if the weather is too bad for a walk. I have two full baskets filled with toys from bark box to play with and I try to stay stocked up on treats from the Three Dog Bakery! You can bring your treats as well if you give your dog a specific brand of treats. I have no problem with dogs getting on my furniture, but I do also have an extremely comfortable Serta dog bed if you have taught them to stay off of furniture. If your dog is puppy pad trained rather than trained to go potty outside, then I would need you to provide the pads as I do not have any. I am also okay with boarding/dog-sitting a puppy in my home once I am offering those services again as well, even if he/she is still in the process of potty training. I just request that you provide a kennel or crate in case I need to leave my home for anything. I would not leave the puppy attended for longer than an hour and a half.

Christine and Troy were absolutely wonderful with our dogs. They communicated clearly and consistently and it was obvious that they cared deeply about the comfort and safety of our dogs. They gave them heaps and love and attention and let them roam throughout their warm and welcoming home. They catered to the dogs' quirks and individual wants and needs. I would be thrilled to have Christine and Troy take care of our older dogs again.

Harper (a cat) is very shy and tends to hide from everyone. I adopted her about six months ago, knowing she needed special considerations, so having someone new in the house was potentially traumatic for her. Eric patiently cared for her while I was traveling and overcame her spooky tendencies. He has cared for my pets for several years and befriended a couple of difficult characters.

About: Hi, I’m Aubrey 👋 I offer calm, attentive, in-home pet care designed to help your pets feel safe, comfortable, and completely at ease while you’re away. I specialize in multi-pet households and have a natural ability with animals who need a little extra patience—whether that’s senior dogs, shy personalities, or pets who are used to a slower, more grounded environment. • 10+ years of experience with a wide range of temperaments • Especially attuned to anxious, sensitive, or senior pets • Experienced with multi-pet homes and complex routines • Respectful, clean, and mindful in clients’ homes • Consistent updates so you always feel connected and reassured 📸 I’m not just here to “watch” your pets—I create a steady, comforting presence so their routine and emotional world stay intact. Pet care is a central part of my daily life, and I intentionally keep my schedule spacious so I can be fully present with the pets in my care. I prioritize consistency, calm routines, and quality time—especially for pets who thrive on familiarity and one-on-one attention. All bookings, communication, and payments are handled through Rover for ease and peace of mind 🐾 Your pet’s emotional and physical safety are my top priorities. I’m especially mindful with: • Senior pets who need slower pacing or extra care • Shy or anxious animals who take time to warm up • Maintaining your pet’s exact routine, environment, and comfort cues I approach each home with deep respect—keeping things clean, calm, and consistent so your pet feels secure and your space is cared for.

About: Hey guys! I'm just a Midwest girl living in my Midwest world! I have the typical Veteran husband and one of our three kids still living at home! We have a 7 pound Chihuahua and two kittens who are the current rulers of the home. I bring a professional, hands-on background to every dog I care for, shaped by my experience supporting K9 work in the military and training dogs across a wide range of needs. From guiding young puppies through early obedience and socialization to reinforcing structure and confidence in adult dogs, I focus on calm, consistent, and respectful handling. My approach blends proven training principles with genuine affection—clear communication, routine, and trust, paired with plenty of attention and care. On our private 20-acre property, dogs have the space to decompress, explore safely, and enjoy a peaceful environment while still receiving individualized guidance and close supervision. While we do have 20 acres that we can walk through we also have a fenced in area and GPS Fence collars for your dog to use. Depending on the training your dog has been through we can work with you to see what fits best. I am a full time mom who homeschools her kid. My husband is home part time so most of the time we are home if not pup will be crated. I have a fenced in yard and a pet safe GPS collar for the pups. So no matter what the pup will be secured. There is no gate to leave the fenced in area so to leave you have to go through the house.

This is our first time using Rover. It was an outstanding experience. Our initial inquiry was answered quickly. My conversation with Christine allowed me to feel this was a good fit for our dog Rio. The communication was excellent and more than I expected. I received texts, photos and a video. Rio was living his best life today. He got to play with another dog, go for walks and a swim. He is sleeping now after a fun filled day. I highly recommend you book with Christine. I love to shop in Petoskey so I know will be back.

About: I have worked with a lot of high energy dogs so I understand and am willing to do the work that is needed for them. I have also worked with dogs that have had traumatic pasts and have spent time working with them to trust their environment and other people. I am a teacher so I have summers off and weekends free. I am also free after school for those last minute date nights and outings. I have two high energy black labs so I am used to dogs that need long walks and lots of stimulation. I am very comfortable around big dogs as mine are both 80 lbs. I prioritize trust and comfort for the dogs I care for. I work to build a strong bond with dogs I work with in order for both of us to have a good time.

About: I have been around animals since a very young age. I grew up having to care for my dogs, cats, horses, cows, and sheep! I participated in 4-H for 10 years showing both cattle and sheep. Throughout high school and college I worked at a doggy day care, that cared for both cats and dogs, either for day visits or overnight stays. I was responsible for making sure the animals were as comfortable as possible. This involved cleaning their kennels daily, feeding, and medications. Later, I worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 months. I have house/dog and cat sat for various friends and family members throughout the years as well. I am very flexible! I am more than happy to stay at your home while pet sitting or simply come by to care for the pet a couple times a day. Open to working with you to figure out the best solution for your pet. Unfortunately my current lease does not allow pets. I am more than happy to work with you and figure out a schedule/plan that would fit your needs! While I am at a clients house I would stay in good communication with them. In the past, I have sent daily pet photos to the client and sending them updates whenever possible.

About: I've used sitters through this site in Michigan for my little girl, Kiera Marie.-It was great! I've done lots of dog sitting and dog fostering too. Living in beautiful Northern Michigan, I can't think of a more beautiful area to dog walk! I'm available to take your dog for walks-let’s set up a schedule! I'm also happy to dog sit in either one of our homes. I am always willing to fit a furbaby into my schedule. I have experience with large and small breeds. I am also comfortable sitting for multiple dogs. I have worked with restricted diets and behavioural issues. I have a soft spot for all dogs and I look forward to talking with you soon! My husband and I both work part-time, so one of us can always be with the pups! We will adhere to any feeding schedule that your family is accustomed to. I have a fully fenced in yard for your pup to enjoy the great outdoors! We’ll enjoy many walks and cuddles!! If your pup enjoys it we have plenty of toys to play fetch with too. Your pup will be treated like family! My schedule is extremely flexible. I can accommodate just about any arrangement that you need. Please feel free to ask any questions and I’ll answer as soon as possible! :) Expect lots of walks, playing fetch, dog play dates (if they’re up for it) cuddles, photos for their parents, treats…They will be showered with love!

Peter was great at watching my golden retriever. He is very responsible and was good at keeping in touch to keep me updated while I was away. I definitely recommend him to others. He also has a very sweet border collie.

Madison was great with watching honeybee. I got constant updates which I loved since I am an overprotective dog mom. Bee came home very tired from her vacation which was great.

Sweet, caring, kind and excellent communication. Lots of updates and pictures of what my dogs were up to. Both of my dogs really enjoyed their stay and we felt at ease knowing they were in good hands.
