About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. Later, after meeting my husband, who had a dog, I discovered how much joy dogs bring and how different, fun, and rewarding it is to spend time with them. Now that my own children are older and more independent, I finally have some time to do something I’ve wanted for a while: care for other people’s dogs. Their two pups, Charlie and Emma, are lovely, happy goofballs! About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life—from Cavapoos to Corgis to Wheaten Terriors to Doodles, to Boxers! I’ve also had the pleasure of having a Goldendoodle of my own as well! My sweet pup was in an accident and required lots of specific care such as wound care and medication administration for many months. About: While I am new to Rover, I have lots of experience dog and cat sitting for friends and family. My whole life there’s been a rotation of dogs in my home (my parents never bothered getting a dog because we watched our friends’ so often) and in recent years I frequently do house visits to feed and entertain pets. I have had a cat before who I loved wholeheartedly and I would love to take care of yours. Please consider me as a candidate to help your family. Thank you! I have a flexible work schedule, so I can dog walk almost any time of day. However, I am not home all the time if your pet needs 24 hour care. For overnight jobs, happy to take your pet to my house or stay at yours. House is not puppy proof but I would be happy to set up an area for them. I have no pets at home.
About: I grew up dogs from the time I was little- labs, retrievers, shepherds- and had a special needs rescue dog with my partner for many years who lived to be fifteen. When she passed, my partner and I started boarding and house sitting regularly and have built up a pretty cute little pack. I am comfortable giving oral medication and upholding your dog’s schedule, house rules, and love to take field trips whenever possible. My favorite is when a dog can come with me everywhere, so smaller senior pups have become my specialty, but I can’t help but love all the dogs who come along. As a videographer and Maine youth basketball coach I have a lot of flexibility in my work schedule and spend a lot of time working from home editing videos. I’m fairly active, always happy to take breaks from work to walk around the neighborhood or find a pet-friendly beach to run around on. I’m in an apartment very close to Deering Oaks Park and the Western Prom. The apartment is a compact second story walk up and has been carefully maintained to keep it safe for curious noses.
