“Gael and Bridget went above and beyond in caring for Coco. They took him on some fun adventures: canoeing, camping on a trampoline, hikes in the B woods etc with their own dog. .Coco was treated like a member of their family. I was so charmed and relieved to see photos and videos they sent often during our week apart. He received so much love that I wonder if he missed me as much as I missed him. I would not hesitate to schedule another home stay for him and in fact feel freer to do so now that I know he would be so well taken care of.”
About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. That can be stressful for them of course, so its very important that their care instructions are followed to keep them as anxiety free as possible.

Depending on my schedule, I may not be at your home 24/7, however, I guarantee your pets won’t be alone longer than 6 hours at a time, unless stated otherwise. Please clearly state your pets needs, including the time and duration they can be alone - in the event other arrangements need to be made for mid day potty breaks. My coming and going schedule can likely be provided upon request. For clients who allow my partner to join me on my sittings (who is insured under my private sittings insurance), there is the ability to offer more frequent potty breaks as him and I typically work opposite schedules. No other guests/ friends/ family will ever join me during a dog sitting. Constant Care: Constant care is applied to any sitting that doesn’t allow me to leave for more than 4 hours of the day, per day. Constant care rates start at $200/ night (additional rates still apply) and increase based off of pet’s needs. Please understand this service may not always be available and interferes with ongoing mid day clients, as well as my availability for my other job. Price reflects alternative arrangements I need to make for existing clients. If you have any questions regarding this, please reach out! I currently only allow one family for boarding at a time. Prices reflect solo care and not having to worry about exposure to other dogs during their stay. I currently have one cat in the home - a 12 year old Maine Coon mix who is very relaxed and tends to mind her own business. Between my boyfriend and I, there is always someone on property, so potty breaks can be provided frequently!

About: I'm a work at home pet mom with a large yard, lots of toys, and a calm and welcoming house. I've always had large dogs from mixed breeds to Great Danes, but love and appreciate all types of well mannered dogs. My house sits well off the road, so its quiet and I hike or trail walk almost daily. I am adept at giving medicine, cleaning wounds and dealing with incontinent dogs, but I will only board dogs who are respectful of my cats. I am currently working from home on my own schedule. Boarded dogs who enjoy car rides can come with me on errands or outings. While each day may different, my activities will be built around the needs of the animals I am caretaking, especially if separation anxiety is an issue. I will care for your animals as per your instructions and the capabilities of your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have installed a run line in the past. If a dog is used to being crated, receiving treats, or sleeping on the couch - no problem. Conversely, I don't give animals people food, and if you want your pets to stay off furniture I will strictly honor that as well. My house is small but open, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.
About: I had beagles growing up and was totally fascinated by them and they brought a big smile to my face with their antics. Later on, I adopted a red Doberman female dog and loved her to pieces taking her on all sort of outdoor adventures - she was highly athletic! I had a poodle who was a bit shy but nevertheless I gave her a great life with endless throwing of the ball for fetch and taking care of her when she went blind - older poodles have that tendency. I have a 11 year old cockapoo who is lean and trim and well loved! Yes could have used more training but what an awesome, well adjusted dog who is super friendly as I my two year old female cocker spaniel who is an absolute joy of sweetness. I have integrity, I think quick on my feet and am very responsible having raised a family and pets. I am a dog whisperer who can tune into all different kinds of dogs and dispositions. I am a semi retired man and so have much more free time. I love outdoor adventures and sunshine and I know dogs do too! First off, every dog is different and has his or her own quirks from dietary to social interactions with other dogs. It’s great to love dogs but it’s also important to provide them structure and pay good attention to their health needs. Not every dog is cut out for lengthy walks so I tailor the experience to whatever brings the dog most joy!

I'm very attentive to pet behavior and i understand how important routines, patience, and trust are when caring for someone's pet, my number 1 priority is to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I have a Mini Austrailian Shepherd named Teagan who is my fur baby, she goes out about every two hours but if she really needs to go she will tell you, she gets along great with other dogs, and she is full of personality and loves to play!

My dog is my baby, therefore my #1 responsibility, and you're dog will be treated the same. 💙 You can always expect hikes to: 1. Be close in proximity to emergency vet centers. 2. Always include an emergency first aid kit, including blood stop, and dog safe benadryl incase your pet were to suffer from an allergic reaction to a bee sting or anything else. 3. Have water, food, and treats on stand by. I ask that you provide food, however I will provide treats, unless directed otherwise. Treats are always consciously chosen, the ones I have right now are real duck & turkey treats that are 100% grain free, no fillers, no synthetic colors, or artificial flavors. We can discuss portions that you allow. 4. Have whatever needs your dog might have be 100% into consideration- wether that be pace, different terrain for different agility levels, or medical conditions that limit them. I want your dog coming back feeling satisfied, tired and also proud of themselves. But not overworked or ever in pain / worse condition from when they left. Some dogs can go for miles, Some just for a while- and that's okay! We will also go over the charachter of your dog, and interactions they prefer/ to avoid. If they like kids, socialization, other dogs, ect. If your dog doesn't enjoy socialization then I will find a more secluded trail so it's not over stimulated. My dog prefers old male dogs that are super relaxed and play mildly, so I also understand that finding friends for our pets is sometimes situational and I want to try to find the right fit for your pet so they feel happy and secure in the experience each time. 5. All the love & attention I can wrap up into the length of our hike!
About: I have had dogs since I was a kid, and lots of different kinds of animals! Horses, ducks, rabbits and more. Not only have I dealt with the personal care in-house of multiple dogs at once, but I have also volunteered at animal shelters and have cared for a wide range of dogs of various sizes and personalities. I love animals and any opportunity to spend time with them in the great outdoors! I’m currently working part-time/per diem, so I will have plenty of time for your pets! I am definitely a morning person, and do not mind early morning walks. Whatever time of the day you need your pet(s) to be walked, I will be happy to do so! I live in a very quiet neighborhood. About: I’ve taken care of dogs cats rabbits and horses ever since I was 10. I’ve cared for new born kittens as well as senior cats at the Humane Society for almost 10 years. And cared for my neighbors’ dogs. From volunteering I’ve learn much about behaviors for both dogs and cats and have discovered I have a talent for working with them. I decided at retiring that I would like to begin in home pet sitting earning a living. I also manage an Airbnb with pets and have had great experiences with both dogs and and cats. I’m available all times but desire at least a week in advance notice. Daily weekly and hourly with breaks when needed for managing my Airbnb. Usually to clean after check out. Also per your needs I will need to have a brief break in the day to drive home to make sure my cats are fed and happy with some play time if I am asked to do overnights. I have 4 cats now. They get fed on special foods on a schedule. When they are eating I clean their cat boxes and when they are finished, I clean their bowls. Before they begin their daily naps , I play with each of them. They range in age from 19 to 1 yr. I also check their water bowls throughout the day or night depending. I can give them treats anytime. I also have learned various medical skills and hope to go back to school for a third degree as a vet tech and if life allows veterinary practice.

About: Currently I am between caregiving clients trying to decide what my next move is. I was born into an animal loving family, extended family, etc. I am 59 years old and have never been without at least a cat or two. I've also had 2 of my own dogs since 2005. My last senior dog passed the rainbow bridge in 2024. Born in Connecticut, lived for 45 years in Maryland and now I am living in Maine where I love it! One reason I fell in love with Maine is you can bring your dog almost anywhere here. They are a pet loving no-kill state! I have administered just about every kind of pet med out there. Every single pet has their own personality and I am very patient to learn that personality so we will become friends. I have a pretty open schedule with no real deadlines, so when ever your pets need walks, feeding, medications or just spend time with them, I am there. My own pets get feed twice a day. The time varies depending on my pet sitting schedule. But usually Its about 10am and 7pm. Whatever instructions left for me for a pet sit, I will follow to the letter. I will ask questions or text later to make sure I understand everything your pet needs. I've never run into an animal not liking me, but I am very aware of them not be comfortable with me at first. About: I'm a work at home pet mom with a large yard, lots of toys, and a calm and welcoming house. I've always had large dogs from mixed breeds to Great Danes, but love and appreciate all types of well mannered dogs. My house sits well off the road, so its quiet and I hike or trail walk almost daily. I am adept at giving medicine, cleaning wounds and dealing with incontinent dogs, but I will only board dogs who are respectful of my cats. I am currently working from home on my own schedule. Boarded dogs who enjoy car rides can come with me on errands or outings. While each day may different, my activities will be built around the needs of the animals I am caretaking, especially if separation anxiety is an issue. I will care for your animals as per your instructions and the capabilities of your pet. I do not have a fenced in yard, but have installed a run line in the past. If a dog is used to being crated, receiving treats, or sleeping on the couch - no problem. Conversely, I don't give animals people food, and if you want your pets to stay off furniture I will strictly honor that as well. My house is small but open, so it is easy to keep an eye on them.
