“My lhasa apso is very attached to us and shows high anxiety when a family member is not around, even to the point of vomiting when my daughter went away on a trip in June. I was very nervous about leaving him during our family vacation, but Sarah and her family went above and beyond to make sure that Oliver was comfortable. He received lots of belly rubs and attention, went on nice walks and trips to the dog park, and became BFF's with Jack, their beagle. Sarah sent numerous pictures at least twice a day, and my favorites were of Oliver and Jack snuggling together. Seeing this pictures greatly helped my own anxiety at being so far away from my fur baby. Sarah also gave updates. Her family just really seemed to understand dogs. She was not upset when Oliver had "marked a piece of furniture" but was totally cool about it; similarly, when I warned her that Oliver is prone to throwing up when away from his family, her response was, "we have hardwood floors so it's easy to clean up." Oliver had a wonderful experience with Sarah, Jack, and the rest of the family, and I recommend her for anyone and especially those with anxious pups.”

About: I have been taking care of my own cats since I was age 6. I’m now 35 years old so you can do the math! I’ve been known to take in strays and get them the veterinary care they need, and find them the homes that they deserve. Every cat, even the spicy kind, is a friend of mine. My two cats are my whole world. Wrigley (the pictured Siamese) is trained to sit, spin, and high-five, and the other cat, Harpurr Lee, only knows how to look pretty and steal food. If you are interested in having your cat trained to do the silly little tricks, please let me know, and I can certainly try. Just make sure there are treats available to use for positive reinforcement! It’s a wonderful way to provide your cat with stimulation if they are easily bored and very active at night. I’m not bothered by throw up or accidents outside of the box, so if I see something that needs to be fixed or picked up, I’m happy to do some light cleanup. Nobody wants to come home to a mess. ♥️

About: My dog and I work from home all day and we'd love your pup to come hang out with us! I did my PhD at Johns Hopkins and now work as a remote tech professional. I have a 5-year-old lab/shepherd mix. I have babysat and fostered dogs of all shapes and sizes, including dogs with special needs. I'm the girl who takes better care of her dog than myself. I'm talkin' three 45+ minute walks a day, human-grade dog food with special toppings, and only positive reinforcement. I know how special your fur baby is and I know it can be scary to trust someone else with them--trust me, I've been there. I would treat them the exact same way I treat my own dog--with attention, care, respect, and lots of love. Your dog will be supervised at all times in a large 3BR condo with large living spaces, plenty of toys and places to lounge. Oh--and a goofy furry friend named Trevor! I work from home and keep a pretty typical schedule--my dog and I go for a 30-45 min walk around 7:30 AM, a 45-90 min walk around 4PM, and then a 30-45 min walk around 8PM. In between, he lounges while I work with breaks for cuddles and play. I would adjust walking lengths to your dog's needs and can do more potty and play breaks if needed! I have a large 3BR condo with a large living area, study (where I work), and dining area. Dogs are allowed on my couch and bed but there are also dog beds in nearly every room. My kitchen has a door and my pantry has a door that I keep closed so your dog wont get into any food they're not supposed to.

I’m very attentive to routines, behavior changes, medications, and household instructions, and I always aim to create a calm, loving, low-stress environment for pets while their owners are away. About: I’ve had pets all of my life (18 years) and I’ve learned that I love animals and taking care of them just comes easy to me. I would love to watch and take care of dogs. About: I have been taking care of animals for many years! As a teenager, I was our neighborhood's go-to pet sitter and dog walker. I have taken care of dogs big and small, as well as cats, birds, rodents, and other small animals. As an adult, I have adopted and trained my two miniature dachshunds, Ruby and Otto. I work as a psychologist but continue to have a passion for animals! I am a home body who is available most weekends and works from home two days per week. About: Hi there! I’ve been caring for pets, be it my own or others, most of my life and it is one of those things in my life that fulfills me. I am a graduate student at JHU and this is my side hustle lol! “I thought I’d left a review for this and realized I didn’t so wanted to add it asap, o literally had a calm, happy , totally differently behaved dog after my energetic pittie stayed with Jill and her partner when I went on vacation last summer. This was the first time I’d gone away without my pup and she was in amazing hands with them both. They took her on so many of their walks to help her energy and she loved playing with other dogs. I like how when I picked up, Jill’s boyfriend made sure my dog recognized me and ran to me as the owner, to make sure I was really the person supposed to be picking the dog up. About: I've been a huge pet lover since I was little! I've taken care of my family and neighbor's dogs since I was little, and I recently started taking care of family friends' dogs in my own home. I have experience administering meds for doggies on medication, love working out so I can keep up with any active ones, and have done grooming before! I have experience with puppies all the way to senior dogs, as well as small doggies all the way to big dogs. I love em all!! I just graduated college, and I am looking for full-time industry jobs, so I am home/available all day, and I'm ready to build my routines/schedules around your fur baby and make them my top priority! For boarding, I provide a secure, pet-proofed home. I like to do slow/controlled introductions with my roommates (all female college students) and me and keep close supervision at all times, especially in the beginning. I have an unfenced yard, but I never let untrained and/or unleashed doggies out there without constant supervision. I will follow all your care instructions and medication schedules. Everything mentioned applies for house sitting and dog walking! I do not own any pets myself, so I am open for doggies who cannot be around other animals.
