This was our first time ever leaving our two-year-old pups, Ziggy and Ellie, with anyone, and we were going to be away for a very long trip. Naturally, we were nervous, but from the very beginning, Karen made the entire process feel seamless and immediately helped put our minds at ease. Before our meet and greet, I let Karen know that our schnauzer, Ziggy, can be protective when meeting someone new. Karen knew exactly how to approach the situation and took the time to make him feel comfortable and safe. It was clear right away that she is experienced with dogs and genuinely understands and cares about them. While we were away, Karen treated Ziggy and Ellie as if they were her own. She sent us daily updates, pictures, and videos, which meant more to us than she probably realizes. Being so far away from them for the first time was difficult, and seeing their faces and knowing they were happy, safe, and being loved gave us so much peace of mind. Unfortunately, both of our dogs became sick while we were gone, which meant a lot of extra work, cleanup, and special attention. Karen never hesitated. She went above and beyond to care for them and even had to take Ellie to the veterinarian. At times, we had limited phone service while traveling, and Karen helped communicate with the vet and made sure we stayed informed and Ellie received the care she needed. Having someone we could trust to handle such a stressful situation while we were so far away was absolutely invaluable. Karen exceeded every expectation we had. She wasn't simply a pet sitter—she became someone we completely trusted with two very important members of our family. Knowing that Ziggy and Ellie were being cared for with so much patience, compassion, and love allowed us to enjoy our trip without constantly worrying about them. Words truly cannot express how grateful we are for everything Karen did for Ziggy and Ellie and for us. We came home to two pups who had clearly been very loved and well cared for. About: For the past 20 years, I have enjoyed taking care of friends’ and family’s dogs, mostly larger size but some medium-sized. As a stay-at-home mom, I offer flexible hours and a constant companion for dogs. While we don’t currently have a dog of our own, we want our little boy to be exposed to dogs at an early age. About: I have experience with very shy and reserved dogs to dogs with more personality than sense! I've worked with many different breeds, from doxins and Jack Russels to boxers, Staffies, and St Bernards, and dogs of all ages. I have experience with senior dogs, and dogs with many health issues, including seizures, surgery recovery, and dogs that need LOTS of medication. Whether they are clingy couch potatoes or would rather have their space, I have had them in my house! I currently work full time, but with a hybrid schedule, and would be able to be fully available for your pets when working from home and weekends. I have a fenced in yard with grass and lots of things to explore and observe. No other dogs in the house currently. Plenty of windows if your dog likes to supervise their surroundings, and plenty of dog toys and room to play inside. If your dog prefers smaller areas, the house is easily sectioned off for safe spaces to decompress, and there is room for a crate if that is what they want/need. Lots of walking trails through the neighborhood and woods for adventures.

With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, I’ve learned that every pup is different and deserves care that’s just as unique as they are. About: I have experience training dogs of all sizes and ages. My family had dogs throughout the entirety of my childhood, giving me a deep appreciation for pets of all kinds growing up. I gained further training and experience through my employment at Petco as an operations specialist. Pet care has been a part of my daily routine for the entirety of my life. About: Ive been taking care of my neighbors, friends, and families pets for a little over 8 years now. Over the years I have learned many things about pets and how to calm them down and gently direct them in the right path. I also have lots of experience with senior dogs who need more attention to detail than younger dogs. Pet care fits into my daily routine quite well. Im a sophomore at frederick community college living at home, so my hours are almost always completely available! I am the dominant pet care taker in my home with two dogs (my angels). I care for pets in my clients home by greeting them and let them get to know me. If the client has a fenced in yard for me to take the dogs out and play thats amazing, but if not I take the dogs for nice walk to get them exercise and some entertainment. At times, we had limited phone service while traveling, and Karen helped communicate with the vet and made sure we stayed informed and Ellie received the care she needed. Having someone we could trust to handle such a stressful situation while we were so far away was absolutely invaluable. Karen exceeded every expectation we had. She wasn't simply a pet sitter—she became someone we completely trusted with two very important members of our family. Knowing that Ziggy and Ellie were being cared for with so much patience, compassion, and love allowed us to enjoy our trip without constantly worrying about them. About: For as long as I can remember, dogs have been a huge part of my life. With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, I’ve learned that every pup is different and deserves care that’s just as unique as they are. For the past 7+ years, I’ve also been fostering dogs through local rescues. Helping dogs transition from uncertain beginnings into loving homes has been incredibly rewarding and has given me experience with many different temperaments, energy levels, and personalities. The idea of boarding dogs in my home came from a challenge I faced myself — finding a place that truly felt safe, loving, and comfortable for my own dogs when I had to go away. I wanted more than just a place for them to stay. I wanted them to feel cared for, understood, and treated like family. When your dog stays with me they will enjoy plenty of safe, supervised playtime in a large, fully fenced yard, giving them space to run, explore, and burn off those zoomies. Whether your dog loves active play or relaxing cuddle time, their comfort, safety, and happiness always come first. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. We’re used to having dogs around and all the activity and responsibility that comes with them, so caring for pets feels like a normal part of everyday life. When we don’t have any extras here, the house actually feels a little too quiet—like something is missing! I want every pet in my home to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. I try to keep their routine and familiar comforts as much as I can—if they sleep in the bed at home, they’re welcome in the bed here; if they love curling up on the couch, that’s where they’ll be. My goal is to make their stay feel like a vacation, not a kennel stay. I want them to feel safe, relaxed, loved, and right at home while their family is away.
