“As a first time user of Rover and first time search for a cat sitter, Elena definitely set the standard. From the first contact, Elena was incredibly responsive, very kind, and extremely welcoming of my babies. Elena and her children took such good care of my babies, as they allowed them space to adjust while being open to their affection as they warmed up. I had peace of mind that my babies were in good hands as she invited them into her home with open arms. When I picked Pocket and Rocket up, they were so soft from freshly brushed hair and calmer to get back into the car. I would absolutely recommend Elena to take care of your cats, as they will get plenty of cuddles, play time, and freedom to explore their new space. Thank you, Elena and kids!!”

They provided amazing care and we look forward to rebooking with them in the future.”

“We had a wonderful experience boarding our pup in Carla's home! Our dog was so well cared for, and Carla sent daily updates with pictures and videos. Her dog was incredibly sweet and got along great with ours. She did a great job balancing exercise with being mindful of our older dog's past surgeries and individual needs. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!”

About: For 13 years, I lived in New York City, where I pet sat for dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to gentle senior companions. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. When I met my husband, we welcomed our own puppy, Suki, an Australian Labradoodle, into our family and completely fell in love with her. After getting married, we traded the hustle and bustle of NYC for the quiet waterfront community of Annapolis, Maryland, where I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a veterinary technician (animal nurse). Beginning this fall, I'll be attending CCBC's Veterinary Technology program, where I'll be learning the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to care for animal patients and assist veterinarians. While I'm in school, I'm excited to continue caring for dogs in my community by providing a safe, loving home away from home. Suki also loves making new four-legged friends and enjoys the extra companionship! Beginning August 31, 2026, I will be attending veterinary technology school part-time on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. My husband works from home full-time, so there will always be someone at home to care for and supervise your dog. We have no children—just one friendly Australian Labradoodle. We're happy to accommodate pick-ups, drop-offs, and drop-in visits upon request. We have a compact SUV equipped with a pet-safe, seatbelt-secured car seat for dogs weighing up to 55 lbs. For dogs over 55 lbs, have a plush backseat extender that can hold dogs up to 100 lbs. We live on the first floor of a luxury apartment community with a fenced dog park and a private street-level entrance, so there are no stairs or elevators for your dog to navigate. Our baby-gated, double-doored patio includes a grass potty area for quick bathroom breaks or house training when needed, and our neighborhood offers plenty of safe, grassy areas for regular walks. Our apartment is fully pet-proofed with covered and elevated trash, recycling & laundry, cordoned-off shoe areas, secured wires & cabinets. We walk our own dog three times a day—in the morning, afternoon, and evening—and can tailor exercise to your dog's individual needs. For walking multiple dogs at once, I like to use a heavy duty waist belt for safety. For puppies, we have an indoor playpen, pee pads, and plenty of hands-on experience with puppy care and house training. We also follow each dog's normal feeding routine and avoid introducing new foods, as our own dog, Suki, has a sensitive stomach and we understand the importance of maintaining a consistent diet. We enjoy positive reinforcement training and have taught Suki to sit, heel, and perform a variety of tricks. We primarily provide boarding and daycare in the comfort and safety of our own home, where your dog will receive personalized, attentive care. I also have the tools and experience to provide basic grooming as needed, and we take pride in maintaining an exceptionally clean home with regular paw and eye wipes, daily vacuuming, and a fully equipped pet spa for comfortable baths. The Bath & Basic Grooming add-on includes a shampoo bath, towel dry, blow dry (if tolerated), spray-on conditioner, and a light brush-out. Extensive de-shedding, de-matting, haircuts, nail trims, and ear cleanings are not included. As part of your dog’s daily routine, we’re also happy to brush their teeth at no additional charge (just provide their toothbrush and toothpaste). We brush Suki’s teeth every evening and know how important good dental hygiene is for your dog’s long-term health.

“Woody had a great stay with Sydney! You could tell he was well taken care of and Sydney was so great sending daily pictures of Woody. We definitely recommend her and will be using her again!”

“Heather was wonderful! This was my first time using a sitting service and was unsure about how my senior kitty would react to a stranger coming in every day. Heather provided photos, which put me completely at ease, and Sebastian completely warmed up to her. When we returned, he acted like he never even missed us! Heather will definitely be our first choice again!”
“Owen was so kind, patient and helpful while we were away. He took care of everything that we asked and went above and beyond. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend working with him.”

About: I’ve been around cats throughout my life and have experience caring for cats with all different personalities, from outgoing and playful to shy and independent. I understand that cats often need time and patience to feel comfortable with someone new, and I’m happy to let them interact on their own terms. I’m currently a Veterinary Technician student and have gained additional hands-on experience working with cats in veterinary and animal-care settings. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, refreshing food and water, litter box care, playtime, basic grooming, and following detailed care instructions. I also have experience administering medications and caring for pets who may need a little extra attention. Whether your cat wants lots of playtime and cuddles or would rather have someone quietly keep them company, I’ll adjust to their personality and routine. My goal is to keep them comfortable, happy, and feeling secure in their own home while you’re away.
“Benjamin was very conscientious & dedicated to his task of finding & befriending my scaredy-kitty! He also kindly filled our birdbath & watered our flowers to keep our other denizens (feathered and pollinator) content during our absence. Benjamin caught a glimpse of wRen in flight, however, I’m hoping he’ll return to give both of them additional time to get acquainted.”

“Adelyn was immediately responsive to our inquiry! Set up a meet and greet and hired her for the next day! We felt comfortable immediately that we made the right choice for our two cats! Very pleased and will definitely use Adelyn for our future care needs! Found out our neighbors have used Adelyn for their dogs and they also sang her praises!”

“Megan was so wonderful! We booked super last minute but Megan responded right away. The photo updates she sent were amazing, and we could tell in the pictures that our cat, Sharon, loved her. Megan even got some action shots of our cat playing with the laser 🤩 This was our first time ever using Rover, and the care and detailed updates made us feel so much more comfortable. Megan was incredible - highly recommend!”

“Leigh was very attentive with Karen! She played with her, spent time with her, wrote thorough reports on their time together, and was overall very communicative. She even left Karen a toy (which she loves, thank you!!!) Leigh went above and beyond and I would absolutely book her again.”

“Stacie was great and I’d absolutely book with her again. She was flexible, communicative, and clearly took great care of my cats while I was away. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled, kept me updated, and gave me real peace of mind during my trip. It was obvious from the updates and from how my cats acted afterward that they were comfortable with her and well cared for. I really appreciated her attention to detail and the care she put into everything. Highly recommend.”

“Jean was really lovely with our 4 cats while we were out of town for 11 days. The cats have some quirks, but Jean took everything in stride and treated them with the same love and care that I imagine she gives to her own pets! The cats were happy when we got home and Jean had spruced up around the house a bit for our return, which was a nice touch and much appreciated. I'm sure we will be asking for Jean's help again.”

“Tiffany was a real trouper to come visit our 3 month old puppy. She is knowledgeable, organized and loves dogs. Communicates promptly, and is open to changing circumstances. I highly recommend her.”

“Leah was a huge help to us over Labor Day weekend, dropping in to let out and feed our three dogs. My husband and I are both small business owners, so we jumped at the chance to take a brief overnight trip together and Leah’s help made it possible. She was on time and engaging with the dogs and they were well cared for in our absence. We would definitely recommend Leah!”

About: I have two cats of my own who I adore. I frequently help take care of relatives' and neighbors dogs. My own black lab recently passed and taking care of other dogs is enjoyable and therapeutic. I am a teacher and home by early afternoon . My husband is home all day and helps take care of fur babies in our home while I’m at work. I am free in the evenings and weekends to help care of your fur babies! I have a two-story home with a back yard. Typically, dogs hang out with us during the day in our family room and sleep on dog beds in my bedroom. We live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood and walk dogs during the day on leashes. We have two cats in our home who are used to having dogs in the home.

“Roxy had a wonderful time playing with Andreas and his dog Luna. She was reluctant to leave in order to come home. The rest of the day she was happy and tired. Andreas was very pleasant to deal with. His fenced-in yard is a big plus.”

About: I trained my current dog (golden retriever) since he was a puppy. I grew up with many animals including chickens, bunnies, cats and birds! I also took in 2 stray cats I found at a local gas station. I adopted my border collie and other cat from AACACC. I also like to help out my older neighbor by walking and playing fetch with his Lab. I’m familiar with a decent portion of breeds and understand their needs can vary a lot! I have a very flexible schedule, I do college classes online so I can choose when to do my assignments based on my schedule during the day. I prioritize training and basic obedience with my dog. My dog goes everywhere with me from car rides, to getting a pup cup, to the lake to swim! I love to take care of him, and spoil him with toys as well. I’m very much the same with your pets! I like to ask what their usual routine is and if you’re working on training or anything specific with them. I also always send a detailed Rover Card for you to look over. In addition, I make sure to check in frequently and send updates during visits/stays.
“Whitney is an excellent care provider for my fur baby! My girl suffers from separation anxiety and I needed someone she could hang out with when I was at work and my family was out of town. All I can say is this was the first time my baby was actually excited to leave me and stay with someone! She wagged her tail and easily went to Whittney when I dropped her off. Always came back to me happy and relaxed. Whittney was great sending me lots of pictures and she regularly took her for a walk. Plus, Whittney is so sweet herself, I want to be her friend!”

About: I have been around animals my entire life! Growing up my family had dogs, chickens, cats. Currently we have 2 beagles and a black cat named Izzy! My other family members began asking me to watch their animals when they went away on trips or to stop by the house if they were stuck at work. This branched to them recommending me to their friends and now here we are! I have been watching the furry loved ones of others for about 4-5 years now and have loved every second of it. I know how scary it can be to leave behind the animals that you consider your children so I am here to make that process a little easier! I’ve taken care of puppies, dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, and horses. All animals deserved to be spoiled and loved by all 💛 I am currently a therapist that works mostly afternoon/evening hours. My daytime availability ranges day to day but getting to create my own schedule allows for flexibility! Owners know their pets best! Any information provided to me about your furry friend will be implemented so that all parties feel safe and well cared for!
“We absolutely love, Alexia! She is consistently punctual and genuinely engages with our dog during his walks. What really stands out as how well she manages him, especially when he gets reactive around cars and certain dogs. Alexia took the time to do a meet and greet before our first walk, which made all the difference in ensuring everything went smoothly. We've already booked her for multiple walks and will definitely continue using her services. We feel so fortunate to have found her!”

About: Pet Care Experience & What Sets Me Apart I have a lifetime of hands-on experience as a pet owner and caregiver. My two white Pitt-mixes, ages 9 and 7, have given me a deep understanding of raising dogs from puppyhood through their senior years. I'm set apart by my ability to connect with animals of all temperaments. I have a solid grasp of dog behavior, honed by training one of my own dogs and patiently working with another to overcome social anxieties. This experience allows me to build trust and confidently manage a wide variety of personalities. For over 17 years, I've provided both short and long-term care for numerous German Shepherd mixes, so I'm comfortable with large, high-energy breeds. More recently, I regularly helped a friend with their foster dogs, acting as a dog walker, playmate, and emergency contact. I'm also reliable with cats and have routinely cared for my neighbor's cat, including feeding, refreshing water, and daily litter box scooping. I offer a professional and consistent approach to pet care. My goal is to provide a stress-free experience for both you and your pet by ensuring their specific needs are met with attention and care. Weekends I am flexible enough to assist with pet care. Likewise, on Wednesdays I WFH, which allows me some flexibility to help with mid-day walks and bathroom breaks. When I come to your home, I'll always provide your pets and your space with the utmost care and respect. I will always match their energy: if they want to play, we'll play; if they want to snuggle, we'll snuggle; if they need space, I'll be sad, but I'll completely understand.
“Amber has great energy and was so caring with my pup! I had complicated instructions each visit and Amber was understanding and happy to make sure everything went safely and smoothly. Definitely will book in the future!”

“Woody had a great stay with Sydney! You could tell he was well taken care of and Sydney was so great sending daily pictures of Woody. We definitely recommend her and will be using her again!”

“Becca was wonderful with Bandit. Her son Kash got along with Bandit and they seemed to have fun together. I would ask her to care for Bandit again in the future, and I’d recommend Becca to others.”

“Jasmine was very accommodating so that we could meet before the booking, even though it was a bit of a last-minute for a holiday weekend. Cucumber immediately became comfortable with Jasmine and her home. Jasmine send us a bunch of pics of our baby and made us feel very comfortable leaving Cucumber for longer than she's ever been away before. I absolutely would recommend Jasmine!”

“We had a perfect experience with Peggy! Our senior Golden Retriever requires twice daily medication and extra attention, and Peggy handled everything with great care. We received regular updates and felt at ease knowing our Charlie girl was in great hands. We will definitely book with Peggy again!”
“I can’t say enough good things about Debra. She was AMAZING. Communicated with me often throughout her stay, sent pictures and loved my baby like I would. I was nervous to leave her with someone else for the first time but Debra made me feel comfortable. Thanks so much Debra!!”

“I was so nervous boarding our two dogs with a Rover sitter vs a facility, but both Amy and her husband took SUCH good care of our babies. I had a family emergency and had to leave them for five days. They went on tons of walks, got ample amounts of snuggles, and I was updated with pictures every step of the way. I could focus on family knowing they were in excellent hands, and we will certainly be using them again!”
