About: I adopted my first dog in second grade. He was my responsibility and as I got older, I learned that I loved going for walks outside as much as my dog. Now that I'm older, I love taking friends' dogs for hikes in new locations. I have even managed to train one of my friend's reactive dog so she pulls on the leash less. I also briefly fostered animals when I was in graduate school. I am a teacher on summer break, so I have plenty of hours to devote to your pet and look forward to enjoying plenty of summer outside time with your dog. Please note I only sit male dogs who have been neutered. Unspayed female dogs are fine as long as they are not in heat during my care. I work M-F 6am-2pm but my sister who lives upstairs lets the dogs out at 10 and 1:30 while I’m at work. I am home from 2:30pm on and Home 24/7 on weekends I treat every pet like they are my own. I give them love, attention, exercise and make sure to stick to their routines while the owners are away.

“Rebekka and Thomas have watched my cat twice and dog once. My first experience with her was when my boyfriend and I went on a two week road trip with our dog (Mia), but we didn't want the hassle of bringing a litter box from place to place. It was our first time leaving my cat (Alfie) with someone other than family. Alfie had a blast at their place. Rebekka kept us up to date on his activities with pictures every other day. He spent time with them in the yard and they even took him for walks! Alfie isn't the nicest (he tends to scratch and bite sometimes) but Rebekka rolled with all of his strange behaviors. My second experience with her was just as wonderful. Both Alfie and Mia spent the day with her for "doggy" day care. My boyfriend and I decided to take a day trip to Mackinac City to see some friends who came in from out of state and it was a little late notice (about 2 days notice). Rebekka and Thomas were very accommodating to our early drop off time (6:30 am) and late pick up time (10:30 pm). Mia has severe anxiety around new people so we were worried about how she would react, which is why we brought Alfie as well. They were very kind with the prices, one animal for their regular price and the other animal for only 5 dollars. Mia did considerably better with them than I anticipated. We brought her crate so she would have a safe space and Thomas told me she spent most of the time on their bed with Alfie. She would only go in her crate if he came too close. Considering the last time she spent a doggy day care with someone else on Rover and she didn't come out of her crate once, I would say this is a great improvement and that she feels comfortable around Rebekka and Thomas. I would recommend anyone and everyone to have their fur-babies watched by Rebekka and Thomas.”
About: I am taking care of dogs since I was 13 years old when I got my first dog, I worked with an NGO as I grew to help with rescues. I have been around dogs all my life basically. When I moved countries I decided to expand my family and we got Blu :) (my husky) I treat all fur babies as part of my family, and make sure the pet feels safe and loved. Be ready to get alot of pics and videos of your fur baby when you leave them with me I work from home, its me and my husky while kids and husband are out most of the day :) We go out for walks, we have a small dog park sometimes we go there as well. I take Blu 3 times for her walk as she enjoys it and I get to complete my steps I live in an apartment (1500 Sq Ft) no fenced yard but we have well maintained society where I take them out for walk, we also have a small park for them to run and burn energy. I booked an overnight stay with Guillermo to see if they’d be a good fit, and it went perfectly. As soon as I arrived, I felt comfortable. Guillermo showed me around the house so I could see where Kiara would stay, which put me at ease. Kiara quickly warmed up to him and didn’t seem upset when I left. During the day, Guillermo sent thoughtful updates and photos, which really helped me relax. When I came back to pick up Kiara, she was happy to see me. About: I’ve been a pet owner to both cats and dogs since childhood, and animals have always been an important part of our family. Our beloved black Lab, Bo, and shepherd mix, Bayou, recently passed away, and we’re looking for a meaningful way to honor their memory. We’ve used Rover for years with great experiences, and now we’d love to open our home to care for your dog the same way others cared for ours. We have experience giving medication, supporting senior dogs, and making sure every pup feels comfortable and at home. Our daughters, ages 8 and 10, are gentle, responsible, and excited to give your dog plenty of attention, affection, and playtime. Caring for animals is truly a family effort here. Since losing Bo and Bayou, we’ve been looking for a positive way to honor their memory and welcoming new pups into our home feels like the perfect way to do that. We’d be honored to care for your dog and treat them like part of our family. We currently work full-time outside the home. I am a teacher that has school vacation weeks off and some long weekends. We can watch your dog during the weeks we are working but some days they would be let out by my father in law. We treat all dogs as if they are a member of our family. If your dog is on medication of any kind, we have experience with administering it and getting them to take it.
