About: I have experience working with dogs and cats through pet sitting and hospital experience. I have owned dogs for the past 16 years, chinchillas for the past 5 years, and hedgehogs for the past 7 years. I am able to detect symptoms and abnormalities that may require medical attention. I enjoy bringing my pets to a variety of places such as state parks, pet stores and public pet events. I am available most weekdays and weekends. I do not mind staying over for overnight care. My time is pretty flexible for now and I am able to drive to locations within an hour radius using my own car. I have a finished basement that would be used for the pets I care for. It has a bathroom with a hand held shower for easy bathing. I have a crate available for use for dogs under 30 pounds. The basement also has direct access to the back yard for easier potty times. The temperature in the basement is cool during the summer. In the winter the temperature would be adjusted using an electric fire place. Dogs would get enrichment through daily walks, puzzle toys and trick training. Cats would have access to the whole basement to free roam but will not have access to outdoors.

“It was an incredible relief to leave Bonnie (our German shepherd furbaby) in the care of someone who understood the typical GSD "anxiety" and yet could also keep Bonnie engaged and occupied with walks and ball-throws! After the first night away, Bonnie calmed down immediately and thoroughly enjoyed her time with Heidi. Heidi also sent us pictures and videos to keep us connected with how Bonnie was doing. As a pet owner who has had problems with other daycare/boarding situations, it was a wonderful thing to see Bonnie happily playing (with no anxiety!) in Heidi's yard when we arrived to pick her up. I’ll play fetch with your pup and go for walks. My yard is large and fully fenced in. Your dog’s safety is my number one priority. Dogs are never allowed outside without supervision. Indoors, dogs are crated during sleep periods for their safety.
