“Judy was awesome with my dog, Cody! Her upbeat personality and love of dogs was so evident- and my dog really enjoyed her yard- he kept running in circles! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay- I definitely hope to book with Judy again!”

“Gabriel was super responsive and communicative. This was our first time boarding our older adopted beagle. Gabriel worked with him to socialize him with the other dogs and made him very comfortable during his stay. I would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book again.”

“Jennifer took such good care of Archie and his special medical needs. He did not seem stressed at all. She sent me updates multiple times daily. I would highly recommend her.”

“Meli was a great sitter! She’s very friendly and attentive. She also has great communication and gave us plenty of updates. I can tell our puppy had a great time while staying with her 😊”

“My first time making any kind of booking with Rover, Melissa, Axel and family were an amazing family and treated Maverick with so much attention, love and care. Their home is very pet friendly with a nice big yard and backyard area. Melissa is very experienced with pets, will be making a future reservation again with them soon. Thank you again so much for taking care of Maverick!”

“Was very communicative and great with my dog. Took blue on multiple runs and hour long walks, which really helps her when she’s feeling anxious away from home. Would definitely recommend.”

“We felt very comfortable and secure leaving our senior dog with Bridget for a long weekend. Bridget was highly communicative and kind. Marbles has a couple specialized needs that she easily accommodated (i.e., twice daily pill administration and avoidance of other dogs). Marbles tends to be anxious when without us but I could tell she felt at ease with Bridget from the pictures that she shared with us. We will rebook for sure!”

“Jessica and her family were amazing caretakers for our 6 month-old Golden Retriever, Ollie! During his stay, Jessica sent me continual updates, photos and videos of Ollie enjoying walks, playing with her own dogs, watching Sunday football, and having the best time! I would highly recommend Jessica and look forward to Ollie staying with her again soon!!”

“Mary was great with Cookie! We felt comfortable in leaving her under Mary’s care and she sent updates to us to let us know how she was doing throughout the week. We will definitely use her again!”
“Hugo & Julia were responsive, accommodating and communicative. They were wonderful with our Bailey, an almost 4 yr old, Golden Retriever, who doesn’t board often. He got to play, romp in the yard and go on walks, along with Happy. Our goal was to find a place where he would not simply be “cared for”, but would have fun & be happy at…I believe we found this here! Julia and/or Hugo texted daily with updates and pictures, assuring myself and family of his care and contentment. As Julia said, he fit right in and became part of the family! I couldn’t ask for anything more 😊”

“My dog (pitbull) stayed there for the weekend and I can tell he had a blast time! Thank you for the pictures, updates, and everything! Highly recommend!! More than 5 stars”

“My dog, Lucy, had a wonderful stay with Julie! Julie was very responsive to my initial response and any future questions. More importantly, I got a bunch of photos and updates of how Lucy’s visit was going which was wonderful. I highly recommend Julie. Lucy can’t wait for a future stay!”

“Kourtney is a kind and a knowledgeable dog sitter. When I overseas for almost a month, my high energy dog was boarded in her place. She kept me posted and sent pictures. I could tell how much my dog got her attentions and love. She made my absence very easy and pleasant to my very sensitive rescued dog. I highly recommend Kourtney to you when you need help. Thank you very much, Kourtney and your husband!”

“Kira and her husband were super nice and thoughtful with our dogs. They took very good care of them and made sure they had fun. Kira sent me pictures during the time my dogs were with her. I really appreciate her help and look forward to leaving my dogs with her next time I need to leave town.”

“Taylor had a great time with Elaine. Additionally, communication couldn't have been better and she was very accommodating with our drop off and pickup schedule. Would definitely have Taylor stay with Elaine again in the future.”

“Nancy did an outstanding job taking care of Rusty. Rusty is a very senior dog with special needs and Nancy did a great job of dealing with his needs. Nancy is a very kind and caring towards dogs and was very attentive. I highly recommend Nancy.”

“My dog is older and has a lot of separation anxiety but he immediately warmed up to Ying Ying. He had a great time and we appreciated the updates throughout the week while he was being watched :-)”

“Excellent experience. Sara seemed professional, friendly, and very on top of things. She stayed in close touch about our little guy, and Kiwi seemed in good spirits both during his visit and after. I'd also specifically flag her location as a bonus—the house has a good yard and it's on a small, low-traffic side street, which always makes me feel better.”

“Sharleen looked after our two babies during a holiday weekend and sent lots of updates and pictures. She followed every instruction and went above and beyond during her visits. We would not hesitate to book her again!”

“Zach took great care of our animals while we were away for a week. He was extremely flexible when I accidentally booked the wrong dates initially and needed to change the booking last minute. He communicates well and took great care of our cats, chickens, and fish!”

“I was happy to hear both of my cats were receptive to Jason. He was able to give them meds without a problem. Hoping the bonding will continue when I have Jason care for them again.”

“Maegan watched our goats and chickens for a week. Unfazed by the complicated instructions and our shifting plans, sent cute photos--felt very good to leave them in her competent and reliable hands.”

“Katherine took excellent care of my kitties. This was the 1st time I left them for more than 24 hours and since getting them. I had no clue how they would be with me away. I was worried about how it would go especially since one was a food thief. She took extra care to make sure my slow eater got his share and she kept in close contact as to if he was getting enough to eat. I had used her once previously for my now decreased blind senior cat. She took such great care of my old cat I didn't think twice about booking her for my new kitties. I would book her again in a heartbeat.”

“Laura is wonderful! She took great care of my cat while we were gone for a week. She sent me lots of pictures each day and it was clear from the photos that my cat loved her. Ferric played with her and sat on her lap even though they just met. I highly recommend her!”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has become both a personal passion and a professional calling. I’ve had the privilege of working with animals in many different environments—from family pets and animal shelters to farms, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, and professional research settings. I have extensive experience caring for dogs, pigs, goats, sheep, and other farm animals, including my work with Heifer Project International. I’ve also worked with dogs in animal shelters and have shared my life with dogs as pets for most of my life. My work as a wildlife animal rescue and rehabilitation worker gave me the opportunity to care for animals that were often injured, frightened, stressed, or otherwise vulnerable. I learned how important it is to approach each animal with patience, compassion, and respect while paying close attention to their behavior and individual needs. One of the most rewarding experiences of my career was working with the New England Aquarium’s Rescue and Rehabilitation Department, where I helped care for several species of sea turtles. Providing rehabilitative care and administering medications taught me how important consistency, careful observation, and attention to detail are when an animal is recovering or has special needs. My professional animal-care background also includes working as an animal care technician and research technician, where I cared for dogs, pigs, rats, and mice. These positions required me to follow detailed protocols, maintain accurate records, administer treatments, monitor animals closely, and recognize subtle changes in behavior or condition. I’m very comfortable following specific instructions and established routines, including detailed feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise requirements, behavioral considerations, and other individualized care plans. At the same time, I believe great pet care is about much more than simply following a checklist. Every animal has their own personality, comfort level, routines, and way of communicating. I take the time to get to know each pet and treat them with the patience, kindness, and respect they deserve. My experience working with children and elderly individuals in care settings has also strengthened my ability to be patient, attentive, dependable, and compassionate—qualities that I bring to every animal in my care. Whether your pet is outgoing and adventurous, shy and nervous, elderly and needing extra patience, or simply happiest sticking to their familiar routine, I’m comfortable adapting my care to what makes them feel safe and comfortable. When you leave your pet with me, my goal is for you to have complete peace of mind knowing they are in capable, caring hands. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big deal. I’ll take that responsibility seriously, follow your instructions carefully, communicate with you about how your pet is doing, and give them the same patience and compassion I would want for my own animals. My work schedule makes pet care a natural fit for my daily routine. I work full-time during the week close to home, which gives me the flexibility to spend quality time with your pet before work, during my lunch break, and throughout the evening. After work, I’m happy to provide as many walks, play sessions, or potty breaks as your pet needs. I genuinely enjoy being outdoors—whether I’m walking, hiking, or running—so if your four-legged friend enjoys an active lifestyle, they’ll have a great companion for plenty of exercise and outdoor adventure. And if they’re more of a leisurely stroll and cuddle kind of pet, I’m just as happy to accommodate that! On weekends, I’m home and available for around-the-clock care, giving your pet plenty of companionship, attention, walks, playtime, and relaxation. My goal is to make your pet’s care fit seamlessly into my routine while making sure they get the attention, exercise, companionship, and consistency they need to be happy and comfortable. -A Safe, Comfortable, and Personalized Stay- I’ve set aside a dedicated space in my home specifically for our four-legged visitors. It includes a room with an attached office area, comfortable bedding, and plenty of space to accommodate several dogs. The setup can also be adapted to separate dogs when needed, whether for feeding, rest, individual care, or simply giving everyone their own space. When appropriate, dogs will also have access to much of my downstairs living area, including the kitchen and living room, so they can feel like they're part of the household rather than simply being boarded. I have a private, unfenced yard as well, providing another convenient option for outdoor time and bathroom breaks. I like to start the day early. A typical morning begins around 5:00 AM with a quick walk and bathroom break, followed by breakfast. About 20–30 minutes after eating, we'll head out for a longer 15–30 minute walk, giving everyone some time to stretch their legs and get their day started. While I'm at work during the weekdays, pets will have their own comfortable, dedicated spaces where they can relax safely. The rooms will be furnished with comfortable bedding and gentle background radio noise to create a calm, familiar environment. Because I work close to home, I’m also able to come home during my lunch break for additional attention, bathroom breaks, and walks. Once I'm home for the day, the focus shifts back to exercise, enrichment, companionship, and plenty of attention. Depending on the dog's personality and energy level, that could mean another walk, some playtime, exploring outdoors, or simply relaxing together. Most importantly, I don't believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to pet care. I’ll learn your pet's routine and follow your instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications (oral/injection), exercise requirements, behavioral considerations, and any other special needs. My professional experience caring for animals in shelters, wildlife rehabilitation, research, and veterinary-related environments has taught me to pay close attention to behavior and recognize when something isn't quite right. My goal is for your pet to have a stay that feels safe, comfortable, structured, and enjoyable—and for you to have confidence knowing they are being cared for by someone who takes their well-being seriously.

“Sara goes above and beyond!!! She does an incredible job at taking care of my diabetic kitty making sure she gets her meds on time and lots of love. She also sends a ton of amazing photos as well! Can’t recommend her enough 💕”

“This is my first time trying Rover and Ann Marie was great! She stopped by a few days before the scheduled dates to learn the specifics of taking care of my cats. It was also a good chance to get to know her and she provided references. The care she gave my cats was superb!”

“Blaise was great with our cat, Beefaroni. Blaise was always on time, stayed for the whole 30 minutes and gave us cute pictures and nice updates. We felt very secure leaving Beefy with Blaise and knew he was in good hands. So glad we got to work with him and that he took such good care of our special boy. We would happily book again.”

“Beatriz was a wonderfil sitter! She took great care of our cat while we were gone. Beatriz sent pictures and was able to get Molly to take her meds. Beatriz was also a great communicator and always responded to questions or messages as soon as she was able to. She was also a wonderful guest in the house she followed all the rules and the house was just as clean as it was when we left for our trip. I would highly recommend Beatriz for your next sitting!”

“Sydney clearly loves animals and took great care of my cat who needed oral medication twice a day while we were away for the weekend. I hadn't hired a pet sitter before, since it is usually easy to leave cats for a few days, but my cat recently had a medical issue that required oral medication, and this is something that isn't easily done with cats. Sydney came over before we went away and I watched her administer the medication and saw that she was a pro, which put my mind at ease. (She told me that she had a cat who had needed oral meds in the past.) She provided reports throughout the weekend as to how each administration of medication went. When we returned home, our cat seemed happy and healthy. I would definitely recommend Sydney for this type of situation. We are extremely grateful for her assistance.”

“Anastasia did a great job with my new dog Lucy. She can be anxious around other dogs, but Anastasia did a wonderful job integrating her into the group. We received updates on her day and she was well cared for.”

“Dear Elaine, As a pup it’s so difficult for me to go with my family to medical appointments. I like to whine real loud to tell the doctor that they are putting a crimp in my playtime. Mommy got busy and forgot to book time with you I’m advance. You came through in a pinch and that helped my family. I love your grassy yard and playing with Brady. Thank you more than my texting paws can say!”

About: I have lot's of experience in pet care. I walked dogs, pet and house sat for many years in my 20s and after moving to Lancaster a few years ago began pet-sitting again here. My wife and I work from home, which allows us to spend all day with our beloved Havenese Geordi. We all enjoy having other dogs come to play and stay! My wife and I both work from home. My office has a back door out to our fenced in yard so I am able to let the dogs out pretty much anytime they like. I can't even count how many times a day my dog goes out back. I also like to take the dogs on a stroll around the block before and after work. As mentioned I have a fenced in yard and a Havanese who loves to have dog guests to play with and stay over. We give all the dogs lots attention and always make sure their needs are met.
“Melissa and her family took very good care of my pups when I needed last minute help. I was very grateful for their kindness and quick communication throughout the day. Will definitely use again when needed. Thank you!!”

“Kourtney was so incredibly kind and helpful with taking our Nellie girl last minute. She immediately made Nellie feel welcomed and safe, introduced her slowly to the other furry friends, and eased my worried heart by sending updates and photos regularly. We are so grateful to have found Kourtney and are looking forward to working with her again in the future!”

About: My journey with animals did not start as a job. It began when I was 10 years old and welcomed my first cat into my life. Since then, animals have always been part of my world. I also grew up with a beloved Shih Tzu who was part of our family for 16 wonderful years and taught me what patient, devoted, long-term care truly looks like. Over the years, I have gained hands-on pet-sitting experience with many different animals and breeds, from energetic Golden Retrievers to Maine Coons, playful kittens, and small companion dogs. I understand that every pet has its own personality, routine, comfort level, and needs. I live with my husband in a two-floor apartment with hardwood floors and no carpets. I am happy to lift and carry pets on the stairs when needed, as long as they are comfortable being picked up. No matter the age, breed, or temperament, your pet will be treated with patience, attention, and care, just like part of the family. Pet care fits into my routine really easily because I work from home and have a flexible schedule, so I’m able to give all the needed attention to your pet throughout the day. That means plenty of walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and just being around so they feel cared for and not left alone for too long. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and cats, keeping them active, entertained, and comfortable, and making sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away. I live with my husband in a two-floor condo with its own backyard, and while it isn’t fenced, I’m very mindful of safety and always keep dogs secure when they're outside. The area around us has plenty of green space, which makes walks much more enjoyable and gives dogs lots of room to explore, sniff, and play.
“Meli took such great care of my fur baby! From the moment I was in touch with Meli, I felt safe and excited about the opportunity to have Ollie spend the day with her and her pup Nina. She was warm and assuring, and very quick to respond to messages! When I met Meli in person to drop Ollie off, I was happy to find such a friendly and kind person in real life, too! She sent me photos and updates throughout the 6 hours that Ollie was with her for “day care” (without me even needing to ask!) and I could tell he was having fun and being taken care of so well! I would absolutely recommend Meli and would love to have Ollie stay with her again if we need a sitter in Bloomington. Thanks Meli! ?”

About: My love for pets started 13 years ago when I got my first Samoyed during my freshman year of college. The following year, I welcomed a Husky into my apartment. After graduating, I became a cat owner as well and have cared for three cats over the years. Having lived with both dogs and cats for so long, I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and daily routines. I’ll treat your pets with the same care, patience, and attention I give my own. My schedule is very flexible, and I’m home most of the day aside from going to the gym. This gives me plenty of time to care for, play with, and spend time with your pets throughout the day. I have a spacious home with a large yard where dogs have plenty of room to relax and play. Depending on your dog’s preferences and routine, they can spend most of their time comfortably indoors or enjoy more time outside in the yard. I’ll always follow your care instructions and make sure they feel safe and comfortable.

About: I grew up around cats and dogs all my life; I don't own any myself but I have lots of experience with short-term pet care. This is my first time providing services on Rover, please let me know any questions. I am currently funemployed, and I am available for walks and care with flexibility - I will work with you to arrange a schedule that aligns with everyone. (I'm still figuring this out). In a pet-owner's home, respect and consideration are first and foremost. If I provide service at your home, the only way you should know I was ever there is that your pet(s) haven't made any "messes" anywhere they shouldn't have.

His name is Toby and he’s a real pain in the butt! 😂

“I just met Matt this year and he has been such a great support ! I work really long hours and was hesitant about finding a dog sitter as my dog is really selective with men. From one meet and greet my dog was comfortable with Matt & was friendly right away! Matt has been consistent and is extremely reliable & follows instructions! He makes sure remy is exhausted by the time he’s done and he also makes sure to give her her water breaks while on walks! I’m definitely sticking with Mat as a dog sitter. 🫶🏼 thank you for being there for my sweet girl !”

“Dogs were very happy and enjoyed their stay. They seemed well adjusted and eased back into home life. We are very pleased with Dawn with the care given and the attention the kids gave (they miss the kids!) Many thanks,”

“From the start, Paul was great to work with. At our initial meeting with him to meet our dog Otis and to see his facilities, we could tell Otis would be in good hands. We received regular updates/pictures on Otis. Paul reached out with questions when the need arose. We would absolutely recommend Paul to watch over your furry kids when you are out of town. Thanks Paul!”

“Lauren and her husband took care of our Stella for a few days. They sent us updates and pictures of stella having a blast with the other doggies. Unfortunately they had a family emergency that forced them to take the dogs with them to the hospital in CT. We weren't able to pic up Stella as planned because of this, but when they could, they drove Stella to us in Leominster where we were staying. I admired the fact that they acted responsibly during this crisis and made sure the dogs they were caring for were safe and happy. We would definitely leave Stella again when back in the area. Jill P.”
