“Joe was very quick to respond and very flexible with dates/schedules and booking information. He took to Oliver quickly and Oliver seemed very excited to see Joe. While we were away, Joe sent frequent updates and pictures of Oliver. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable while away and Ollie! When we returned, Oliver seemed very well taken care of and Joe had had no issues. We will definitely be seeking Joe's assistance in the future; he is great!”

“Phillipa is a GEM! Theo had the time of his life and I felt more than comfortable with him under her care. I will definitely use her again in the future :)”

“Alec and Damien did such an amazing job caring for my pup! They were incredibly responsive throughout the process and provided such a warm and welcoming environment for my dog. My dog felt at home and at ease almost instantly. They sent really thoughtful updates that made it clear that my dog was having a lovely time while I was away! I will definitely be rebooking the next time I need a dog sitter!”

“Jing and her husband were simply the best! She sent me frequent updates during my trip and made sure Oreo was comfortable and accommodated the entire time. She was also very flexible when it came to pickup/dropoff times. Highly recommend Jing for anyone looking for a reliable sitter who goes above and beyond.”

“My experience: Great communication, flexibility, attention to detail and the needs of my dog. When away from my Skittles, pics and videos were sent to me like clockwork; which I desperately needed while away from my dog. Yep! Definitely recommend!”

“Jess and her family were great! Our 11 pound Cavapoo (Molly) stayed with Jess for 7 nights while our family went on our first vacation without our beloved pup. I knew Molly was well cared for and happy (perhaps a bit too happy given her ambivalence to seeing me when I picked her up 🙂). I felt very comfortable leaving Molly with Jess and would certainly do so again. Jess was very responsive and sent me regular updates and pictures. I think Molly particularly enjoyed the freedom Jess allows the dogs in the house. For example, I sent Molly with her crate that she happily sleeps in at our home, but with Jess Molly just slept on the couch with the other dogs. Spoiled for sure!”

“This was my first time using Rover and it was an amazing experience because of Aly. She communicated with us right from the start and set up a meet and greet where she asked questions about our puppy's routine, needs, and preferences. We were nervous immediately felt very comfortable leaving our brand new puppy with her. Aly sent daily updates and pictures throughout our vacation and we could tell our dog was comfortable and happy. Aly felt like an extension of the family right away and we I couldn't recommend her more. We will definitely look to have her watch our dog in the future.”

“This was our second time having our dog Ellie stay with Kayla, and we are so glad we did! She is awesome—super responsive, flexible, and sends tons of cute photo updates. It is great being able to trust that our dog is in good hands! And Ellie loves playing with Kayla’s dogs, Moose and Bandit!”

“Thank you for looking after our dogs! Ling and Ye sent lots of photos of our two midsize labradoodles on walks and getting cuddles during their stay. And they came home calm and relaxed afterwards - a sign that they were happy while during their stay. Our dogs can get nervous around large male dogs, but their dog Brody (large labradoodle) is a gentle giant who immediately got on with our dogs, but also gave them their own space. We appreciate Ling and Ye's kindness towards our dogs!”

“Cody was a fantastic sitter for our pup while we were away for a long weekend. She provided great daily updates and was incredibly kind, flexible, and communicative when our pup experienced some separation + thunderstorm anxiety during his visit and when we experienced flight delays on our return trip home. We will definitely re-book with Cody in the future!”

“Dana is the most professional sitter I have met through Rover. I was invited to go for a walk with him and my dog before the booking, during which he demonstrated his knowledge of interpreting canine body language and skill at correcting bad behaviors. I was provided daily video updates on how my dog was doing. When I came to pick my dog up, I was invited to sit and eat a home-cooked meal with Dana’s family. I will definitely look for Dana next time I need a sitter.”

“Very happy with Norman’s stay. Dan has a sweet dog of his own that Norman for along with. They went in a nice walk up to Blue Hills for some outside time. Great communication to let me know everything was going well.”

“Katherine took care of my two cats when I was out of town for a weekend. We had a meet and greet beforehand. She was very responsive and communicative about her visits. Even though I had no preference over timing, every morning she let me know what time she would stop by. After every visit she sent pictures and a written note of how the cats behaved and what food she gave them or what toys she had them play with. She was super patient with my shy kitten, who was getting over an upset tummy at the time. I definitely felt she took care of them as if they were her own cats, would book her again without a doubt.”

About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life, and often petsit for friends and family! As the mom of a reactive cattle dog, I have experience with training and managing reactivity on walks and at home. I am local and have a car, so I'm able to travel a little farther to take excellent care of your pets! I work remotely, so as long as your home has a reliable internet connection I can spend most or all of the day with your pet! My schedule is very flexible so I can easily take pets out for frequent potty breaks if needed, and/or take frequent play breaks to keep your pet happy and entertained. As a dog and cat owner in Boston, I am always very careful and mindful of opening/closing doors and windows to prevent fur babies from getting out when they're not supposed to. As a reactive dog mom, I'm also used to keeping a close eye out for potential triggers on walks.
“Claire was excellent! She kept me updated and took some cute pics of my dog before/during/and after the walk. She even sent me a picture of my cat when she saw him after walking my dog. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I'm Lauren, a San Francisco native currently living in the Boston area while attending Wellesley College. As a lifelong dog owner and animal lover, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. Whether your dog loves long walks, outdoor adventures, or simply a consistent and caring companion, I'm committed to providing attentive, reliable care and plenty of tail wags along the way. I currently share my life with two very different pups: Jasper, my energetic 3-year-old Shiba Inu, and Bella, my senior Chihuahua, whom I've cared for since I was 12 years old. Caring for both has given me experience with a wide range of needs, from active walks, playtime, and enrichment to the extra patience, attention, and routine that senior dogs often require. I'm an active, dependable person who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals, whether that's exploring a local trail, playing in the yard, or providing calm companionship at home. Over the years, I've also dog sat for friends and family, caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. One thing that's especially important to me is communication. I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else's care, so I make it a priority to provide updates, photos, and peace of mind while you're away. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, loved, and comfortable while giving you confidence that they're receiving the best possible care. I am currently working on my senior studio art thesis for my Bachelor's degree, so I am quite flexible with scheduling! I am also very active, so dog walking fits perfectly into my schedule and health routine. I believe the best pet care starts with understanding that every dog has their own routine, personality, and needs. Before caring for a pet, I like to learn about their schedule, exercise requirements, feeding routine, preferences, and any special instructions so I can provide consistent care and make the experience as comfortable as possible. When caring for pets in a client's home, I am respectful of both the pet's routine and the owner's space. I prioritize safety on walks, closely monitor pets during outdoor time, and make sure they always have access to fresh water, attention, and a calm environment. I am also highly communicative and provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pet is happy and well cared for.

In a client’s home, I respect their space and routines, making sure pets feel secure in their own environment. I follow all instructions closely, from special diet needs to unique quirks or favorite toys, and keep in touch with updates and photos so owners know their pets are happy and cared for. Most importantly, I treat every dog like they’re my own—with patience, structure, and genuine affection—whether they’re here for a day, a weekend, or longer.
“Wonderful experience. Sarah took in our two pups on a last minute booking for the weekend, made sure she had all the details about their care, and sent pictures of how well they were doing. We were confident they were in good hands.”
