I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

I work 4am-12pm but i’m always available after those times i’m a very flexible person and always free Sunday’s and Mondays! I always treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. In my client’s home, I stick closely to their pet’s normal routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. That includes feeding them on schedule, providing fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention. I also keep the home clean, send regular photo updates, and make sure pets are safe! I’ll stay close to my phone incase of emergencies and i’ll make sure your pet is loved and cared for!
About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.

About: What sets me apart is that I don’t simply “check in” on your fur babies; I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and getting to know their individual personalities, routines, and needs. I have years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, including regular and extended care while their families travel. For the past six years, I’ve been consistently trusted to care for pets when Dad and Mom go away on frequent trips, including stays of more than 30 days. About: I’m lucky to come from an animal family. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life - big dogs, small dogs, old dogs, lap cats, moody cats - I’ve loved them all. Recently, my two children and I found ourselves pet free for the first time. I miss having my own full-time furry companion but I also travel regularly for work. I decided to take this opportunity to open my home & heart to your pets. For me and my children, this is a win / win situation. We love caring for animals and we love the joy they bring to our home.
