About: Hey there! I have grown up surrounded by dogs and have always shared special bonds with them. I currently have a 2-year-old cat, Sue, that my friend found while he was fishing. We lost her brother, Charlie, a couple years ago to cancer. He was a black lab pit mix and the best light to your day! I’m currently working part-time and am looking to supplement that with a few hobbies, and opportunities from here. I will try to make myself available as much as possible if you need me. Although I like it when animals are enjoying themselves, I value safety and can be firm when I need to be. I look forward to (hopefully) meeting you & your furry friends soon! About 20 years ago, I decided to enter the world of pure bred dogs and have been an avid exhibitor and breeder of Pointers and Ridgebacks focused always on good temperaments and health. I love dogs and really believe it’s important that each animal I care for, feels at home, comfortable, pampered, exercised and loved. Your animals are treated as though they are mine and the care and love they will experience can only be exceeded by you. In addition my brother lives with me and he helps me take care of the dogs. There is always a person at our house while your dog will be visiting. About: I was born into an animal-loving family and I have continued to instill this love for animals in my own children. I have had a menagerie of animals all of my life. At the young age of 12, I started walking the neighbors' dogs and going to their houses when they were out of town to feed, water, and walk their pets. In college, I worked part-time in several different veterinary clinics. I am still very well connected to the veterinary world so if I am unsure of something involving my pets, I am able to reach out to get an answer pretty quickly. Over my lifetime of 40 yrs. I have had at least 20 dogs, 10 cats, several rabbits, horses, chinchillas, guinea pigs, hamsters, and a few reptiles (but no snakes). In my full-time job, I have a hybrid work schedule. Some days I am in the office and some days I work from home. This allows some flexibility when caring for fur babies. My family also helps care for our "animal guests". It is a group effort! I have a 1/2 acre that is fenced. I have 3 dogs- a Newfoundland, Black Lab, and a Beagle. All of my dogs are rescues. I know that I rescued them but as cheesy as it sounds, most days I feel like they rescued me. Each of them has their own personality, which I love. My dogs are usually always by my side when I am home. My dogs love to jump on the bed or couch and get snuggles. I also have 3 cats. All of them found us. They were all dumped on us and of course, I couldn't turn them away. :) I would treat your animals the same way I treat mine- with love and snuggles.
