About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and dogs have always had a special place in my heart! Growing up, my family had dogs, horses, goats, chickens, cats, birds, fish—you name it. Caring for animals has always been second nature to me, and over the years I’ve become the go-to pet sitter for friends and family whenever they go on vacation. I understand that every dog is unique, whether they’re full of energy and love long walks or prefer cuddles and a relaxing day at home. My goal is to make your pup feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away by keeping their routine as normal as possible. I am fully available on weekends and can dedicate plenty of time to your furry family members! I also offer evening dog walks and drop-in visits after work. I live in a top-floor apartment with carpeted stairs and plenty of windows, perfect for curious pups who love to look outside and watch the world go by. My neighborhood is quiet and pet-friendly, making it ideal for long walks and plenty of sniffing adventures. I make sure every pet gets lots of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and, of course, treats (with owner approval!). My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away, treating them like part of my own family.

I volunteer for local animal shelters and have fostered many times for Lakeshore Paws in Valparaiso IN. My husband and I have decided to break from fostering dogs and offer our home and services to people who need their baby taken care of while they are away. That is also how we treat other dogs who are in our care for a short time. My husband and I enjoy having dogs and we also enjoy spoiling them rotten. I will take the time and care you would for your own dog. I'll give them snuggles, playtime, and lots of outside time depending on the crazy weather we have here of course. It is a great big yard enough to play fetch with a few dogs at the same time. Some just like to sun bathe and watch everyone else run around. I have a Yorkie named Jack, and 3 mini Bernedoodles named Elenor, Dahlia, and Franklin. I am not taking unneutered or unspayed dogs at this time. I have lots of available hours to spend with your pets. My schedule is consistent usually, but fairly open. In the past, I was walking dogs. Not sure if I am going to start doing that or not. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm weekday’s and on weekends. Weekdays will typically be from 12pm-2:30, the times may change to longer hours depending on my job! Weekends: Saturday anytime throughout the day. Sunday: 4-10pm. I will take care of your pets based on your rules! If there’s a specific time you always feed your animal I will do the time asked for! When it comes to safety, safety is most important for me and your animal! I will keep your number in reach at ALL TIMES! If I notice the dogs getting aggressive i’ll try to calm the dog. If you have a fenced backyard i’ll make sure I watch your animal as they use the restroom or even just play around and keep an eye out for any signs of danger!

(I have since returned to Northwest Indiana!) I took care of both cats and dogs(of all breeds and disabilities) and helped medicate and treat them! About: Hello, I'm Rebecca. I'm 28 years old. I've always been an animal lover. I live with my parents who have had multiple dogs over the course of my lifetime. Being the only child still living with them, I've become their dog sitter anytime they leave for a trip, etc. I began experiencing disabling health issues right out of high school and resorted to dog sitting as a way to make money as I was not able to hold a "real" job. I grew to love it. I'm healthier now and looking to find more opportunities outside of friends, family, and neighbors. I would love to broaden my horizons and care for fur babies full time. I'm currently unemployed and have a very open schedule. I have experience caring for puppies, elderly dogs, and anything in between. I know how to administer medication and clean up accidents due to my past elderly dogs having health complications. I also have experience caring for rabbits and cats. After the passing of my 9 year old rabbit in June 2025, I felt like a piece of me was missing. Only a couple months later, I started dog walking for a woman in my neighborhood daily and it helped me through the grief of losing my bunny. I can dog sit at your home on those 4th Saturdays as long as I am able to leave for a couple hours for the events. During drop-in visits/walks I rinse and refill water bowls, replace empty treat toys, clean up any accidents that may have occurred, play with your fur baby to release any pent up energy they might have, and complete any other duties you may have for me. I pay close attention during potty breaks and notify the owners if anything is out of the ordinary. When dog sitting I can stay at your home overnight if needed. If not I can check in as often as you'd like. I can provide updates through out the day and pictures so cute you'll want to frame them.
