“April was fantastic. She sent photo updates daily on Layla and when I came to pick up our dog she was outside playing with her with her kids. My dog was visibly happy and well cared for, highly recommend:)”

“Patricia took great care of Tess for us! She was very communicative and send lots of updates. Tess came home happy and healthy! We would definitely ask Patricia to help us with Tess again”

“They took a great care of our dog and we appreciated their sincere love for our dog. They sent us many updates with photos every day we were away. I recommend them to anyone. Thank you very much for taking care of our dog like your own.”

“Steph was awesome! This was my first experience with Rover and I have a Boykin Spaniel, which is a 16 month old 40lb high energy hunting machine. She excepted the challenge and treated Kola like he was her own. Very pleased with the whole experience and Steph. I took a fly-in fishing to the northern woods of Canada and due to fires and bad weather in the area had to extend my stay for an additional two days up there because the float plane couldn't come get us. Steph rearranged her schedule to accommodate me. I didn't expect her to do that but greatly appreciate her for doing so. I highly recommend Steph, will use her again in the future (that is if she'll let me LOL).”

“Penny was amazing! I left my pup, Ginger, with her for 2 weeks while we were out of country. Penny sent pictures of Ginger and made sure she had plenty of activity. I even noticed that Ginger had lost a few pounds that she needed to lose! I would highly recommend Penny!”

“Roberto and his family did a wonderful job sitting for our dog Hopper while we were on vacation for two weeks. He sent us pictures and updates every day or two. They really made Hopper part of the family (even though Hopper kept stealing all of their dog’s toys and attention). We were very happy to be able to leave Hopper in a home where he was so well cared for.”

“Rosie's love and care for our two dogs, Charlie and Peanut, was excellent. We boarded our ten-year-old special-needs dog (Peanut) and our fourteen-year-old senior dog (Charlie) for a few days with Rosie. She was able to administer medications and handle the different needs of each dog. We also greatly appreciate the help of Rosie's little dog, Bella and her daughter, Ruby. We have already booked a second boarding stay with Rosie due the confidence we have in her care for our doggies. Hooray!”

“Jackie is the best sitter I have had since using Rover. I am at total ease leaving Frito with her. She sends lots of pictures and he loves being there. He snuggles up with Jackie and her family members. I see that he feels safe which is quite an accomplishment given his anxious nature. Jackie is professional and has followed my detailed instructions for Frito everytime. I am so grateful I found her on Rover.com. I don't want to leave Frito with anyone else. I highly recommend Jackie - you will not be dissapointed.”

“Yaqi is absolutely the best, I have an elderly Frenchie who is generally with me 24/7. I was very worried about leaving her with anybody but Yaqi very quickly put my mind at ease. She sends many pics and videos and my dog loves her. I won’t sorry next time I leave town because I know my dog will be with Yaqi.”

“Giselle is a fantastic dog sitter! She has taken excellent care of my dog on more than one occasion. My dog is excited to see her and her daughters every time—to me that is everything! Highly recommend!”

“Cinnamon had a great time and I loved that I was constantly getting updates from videos and texts! Made me feel secure that I dropped my puppy off at the right place! So much love and attention they provided to Cinnamon!”

“"We are so happy we found Sana to watch Yogi while we were away for six days over spring break! It is always a bit nerve-wracking leaving a pet for nearly a week, but we were able to relax knowing he was in such great hands. Sana was professional, communicative, and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. We received regular updates, which we really appreciated. Yogi came home happy, healthy, and well-rested. “Taylor did a great job watching our cat while we were out of town for 6 days. She arrived as scheduled and followed instructions related to feeding, cleaning litter box, etc. She communicated daily through the Rover app with updates and pictures. Our cat responded very well to Taylor and was happy to see her during her visits. Would definitely use Taylor again!!”

“Jacqueline and Uriel were wonderful caretakers! They did a wonderful great job of playing with the cats, feeding them, and keeping the litter boxes clean. They sent us great update pictures and videos which were fun to watch and keep us up to date. Would totally recommend and use them again!”

About: I love cats. Currently I only have one but I'd love to get more. I used to provide home health visits and my patients cats loved it when I came. Cats seem to like my voice.y friends and family call me whenever their cat needs a sitter.

“Jenn seemed to really care about taking the best care of our two kitties and adapting to meet their unique needs. Great communicator, sent pictures each drop-in, and overall very kind. One of our cats was unfortunately sick during the time and she cleaned it up with no issue. I would definitely book again.”

“Brianna did great caring for our cat while we were away. She paid great attention to detail and took notes on everything we went over. The cat was fed daily, water was kept clean, litter box(es) scooped, and all areas were kept very clean. In addition to taking great care of the cat, Brianna was willing to also check on our frog and maintain his waterfall and water bowl, which was a great extra bit of help. We received great photos of both the cat and the frog daily. We would absolutely trust her to care for our pets again in the future.”

“Pets were well taken care of. He shared pictures (but I did not receive the written reports the sitters usually share after every visit). He helped as possible with cleaning poop/throw up my puppy left around the house. Quick to reply to my text messages.”

About: I am a massive cat lover with over 10 years of deep, hands-on experience caring for felines. I had a beloved cat for over 10 years named Coopers Cat; named after Bradley Cooper because he was just so handsome! My family and I would also regularly take in stray cats right off the street, sheltering and caring for them for days at a time until we could find them a safe, permanent home. Today, I am the primary caretaker for a lively household of four cats of my own. Living with cats my entire Adult Life has taught me to respect them and their unique energies. I understand felines in a much deeper way than the average person. Because I’m so closely in tune with their subtle body language and shifts in behavior, I can easily tell when a cat is in pain, stressed, or if something is bothering them. I know that cats thrive on routine and can be sensitive to new people, so I focus on being patient, low-stress, and letting them come to me on their own terms. I am incredibly diligent about keeping feeding schedules precise, maintaining completely clean litter boxes, and giving them the exact mix of interactive playtime or quiet, peaceful companionship they prefer.

About: I have experience caring for cats with unique dietary requirements and special medical needs, including administering medications and following detailed feeding schedules. I understand that every cat has its own personality, whether they are social and playful or prefer a quieter, more independent approach. I take the time to build trust with each cat and ensure they feel safe and comfortable while you're away.

About: My family and I love dogs. We also love cats, but unfortunately I’m allergic to them. We’ve raised three dogs over the years and currently have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Jax. I pretty much work from home and have a 4 year old Golden Retreiver named Jax so our routine is already made for a dog. I have a fenced in back yard. Your dog will have a playmate in Jax. I enjoy going out and playing fetch with Jax although he's not much of a fetch guy. He enjoys me faking like I'm going to chase him and then he gets the zoomies and runs around the yard like a crazy boy.
“April took time to really make sure Beausarge got comfortable on his first visit. She went over his training commands and took him for a walk. He can be a little high needs and she took great care of him. We will definitely be using April again.”

“Min was wonderful with my large dog, Tamale. She reads the dog's body language very well. She sent lots of pics and seemed to really enjoy Tamale's company. I will definitely ask her to dog sit as my regular "go to" person. Thanx Min!”

About: I have had dogs most of my life. From my childhood dog to the ones I raised as an adult. I have potty-trained dogs to use a bell to indicate they have to go out, taught them to back away from table food, and to give up stolen items. I will treat your dog lovingly and as if they are my own. I am mostly retired and home the majority of the day. The dog will go no longer than 4 hours without a potty break, and most days it will be shorter than that. Your pet will be the only one in the house with me. I block off my stairs so the dog is always very close and mostly within eyesight.

I have been exclusively walking and watching dogs for over 2 years now. I currently have small client list building and am always looking for more experience. I walk a few dogs weekly and there’s always room for more. Every dog is different and every dog has different needs and this is a chance to learn how to communicate better. I follow the instructions of the parent. I do not have a yard but I live near a forest preserve built for dog walking and plan on using it when I take dogs for walks.

“Wendy has been walking my puppy, Missy, three days a week for 30 minutes each time, and she’s been wonderful. Missy always comes back happy and relaxed after their walks. Missy is a diva and sometimes resists going out, but Wendy is always patient, kind, and understanding with her. I especially love the feedback and pictures Wendy shares after each walk—they give me a lot of comfort and peace knowing how Missy is doing. I’ve really appreciated the care and consistency she brings to every visit, and I hope to see her back in the spring.”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have experience with almost every kind of pet personality out there. Professionally, I worked as a sales representative at Petland, where I was directly responsible for matching families with ideal animal companions and managing high-touch customer interactions daily. This role gave me hands-on, daily experience caring for, socializing, and handling young puppies, so I am incredibly comfortable with puppy energy and strict feeding routines. Beyond my professional background, I grew up with a family Beagle, and as a kid, I was the neighborhood dog walker for an American Bulldog. More recently, I’ve spent plenty of time helping a close friend look after his Australian Shepherd and Aussie mix, so I know exactly what it takes to keep up with highly active, intelligent, and working dog breeds. I’ve also owned fish, a frog, snails and lizards in the past, so I’m comfortable with specialized setups too. What sets me apart is my ability to adapt completely to whatever your pet needs. Whether you have a high-energy dog that needs a solid workout to burn off steam, a young puppy working on routines, or an older dog who prefers a quiet, relaxed neighborhood stroll, I am patient, intuitive, and dedicated. I treat every animal with the same care, respect, and safety that I give my own family pets. My current work schedule gives me a great deal of independence and flexibility throughout the week. Because I manage my own day-to-day shifts rather than a traditional desk job, I can easily plan my hours around your pet's specific needs. Whether that means stopping by for early morning check-ins, taking long mid-day walks, or providing dedicated house-sitting coverage, I build my routine around ensuring total consistency. Your pet won't have to wait around for their normal feeding times, potty breaks, or exercise. Keeping your pet safe and comfortable is my absolute top priority. When I'm caring for a pet in your home, I treat your space with total respect and keep things clean and secure. I’m very vigilant about the little details; making sure doors and gates are securely latched, keeping potential hazards completely out of reach, and following your specific house rules to the letter. When we’re out on walks, I keep a close eye on the surroundings, maintain a firm grip on the leash, and avoid unpredictable situations with other strange animals. I'm also big on communication, so I’ll always send you quick text updates and photo check-ins so you can relax knowing they are safe and having a great time.

“April was fantastic. She sent photo updates daily on Layla and when I came to pick up our dog she was outside playing with her with her kids. My dog was visibly happy and well cared for, highly recommend:)”

“My 9month old puppy Mochi’s stayed 5 days at Mrs Kristin house.Mochi enjoyed running and playing with her dog Kelce and Badgley each day. Kristin home and yard was pet friendly . I received pictures one for two pictures each day with update when I asked her. Before and during stay she replied txt promptly. It was very helpful for me.”

“Maite is a gem of a dog sitter. We left our dog with her for the first time and it was very clear from the beginning that she takes her role very seriously and cares a lot about what she does. Her priority is to take great care of your pet and make sure the owner and pet have a great experience. She was incredibly communicative and responsive. She gave us multiple updates each day so we never had to guess how our dog was doing. I would have no hesitation to have Maite watch our pup again.”

“Justine & Brett were so wonderful and patient with Ramen! He is anxious and can take time to warm up, but they went above and beyond to make him comfortable!”

“Thank you for taking care of our Red, and also for sending photos of her each day and night. We really appreciated all the updates while we were away. Thank you, Min, see you again soon!”

About: I've taken care of pets ever since I was a kid. When I was in high school, my family hosted dogs of all sizes, including one of my favorites, a Burnese Mountain Dog named Ruby. Lately I've had the chance to watch my brother's two dogs (as seen in my bio pics) when he travels. I work a semi-active full time job over the week, with plenty of energy to spare when I'm not working. I am fully available over the weekends from Friday evening straight through to Sunday! I also am free on weekdays for walks or drop-ins as long as it's before 7:30 am or after 5 pm. Your dog will stay in a cozy, smoke-free condo where they are welcome on the furniture and bed. While I don't have a yard, I love taking long, frequent walks around the neighborhood. For their comfort and safety, I host one family at a time and ask that owners provide the dog's preferred bed or crate if possible
“Shelby loved her stay with Kira. Kira did a great job watching Shelby and kept me informed. Also sent a number of pictures to show Shelby was doing fine. On one of their walks Shelby even got a chance to meet an Elk, which was awesome. Will certainly contact Kira in the future when Shelby we will be going out of town once again.”

“This was our first time our Goldendoodle (80lbs) stayed with her and her dog. They played well and she took great care of him. We appreciate Niratcha sending us daily pictures in the morning and night to see how Kipper was doing. Happy with her and we just rebooked with her. Thank you.”

“Shalyn & Joseph really set my mind at ease when dropping off my pup. They kept me updated with pictures & detailed messages about how he was doing. Wally seemed like such a happy/ tired boy when he came home & I couldn’t have asked for better people to take care of him!”
