While I was away, she sent lots of photos and updates—Duke looked completely at home, especially curled up and relaxed on her couch. “My wife and I recently rescued a puppy after making travel plans months earlier. Because our puppy Sophie was still too young for full vaccinations, we were not able to board her with a doggy daycare, and we didn’t have any friends or family available to care for her during our trip. We used Rover to find Teresa, and were grateful that we did. We met with her about 2 weeks before our trip, so she and our puppy could meet. The first meeting went well, and we were confident with our choice to have her take care our puppy during that visit. While Teresa had Sophie, she sent us regular updates, photos, and video of her playing and being happy. She helped reinforce the commands that were working on and assisted with continued leash and potty training. Sophie had a great time with Teresa, her dog Ollie, and grand-dog Dunkin. About: I currently have two cats that I love dearly. I feed them, clean their litter boxes, and play with them daily. They love flipping and running for string toys, as well as pushing around balls and plushies. I give them medicine when needed and have experience with cutting nails. My favorite thing to do with cats is sit and stare at them.

As a former letter Carrier, my favorite customers were four-legged. I am retired and want to stay active. Who can keep you more fit and active than a dog that is waiting for a walk-date? When I have dog sat, I usually go for multiple walks. I can walk all day. The dogs love it and it makes them tired. Animals need mental stimulation outside of their house or yard just like people. I try to find things to keep us both busy and happy.

About: My husband and I own a dog grooming salon, in Orland park, which was owned by his family and has been in business for over 25 years. We have American Red Cross CPR class, for dogs, two times a year at our dog grooming salon. All dogs must be potty trained to go outside. Puppy pad trained dogs are not accepted. Diapers on dogs are not accepted. Thank you for considering us to care for your fur baby while your away. One of us stays in your home with your fur babies over night. We do have to go to work during the day. We do our best to try to keep your pet’s routine the same. We care for the client’s dogs in their home and follow whatever instructions we are given. It is up to the client on what they would like us to do.

About: I’ve been dog watching for about 4 years now. I started in college and began to enjoy it. I have had 4 dogs at once before and I loved it! Whatever you prefer for your fur baby will be done! If they need to be walked 6 times a day, we will do it! Love will be given to any animal in my care! I have a fenced backyard for them to play around in and there is also a trail nearby to walk if that’s better! Every need will be met

“We don’t board our dogs or have them watched outside of our home very often. When we do need help, it’s usually a family member or close friend staying at our house. Because of that, we were a little nervous about having them stay somewhere else, but Emily was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly patient, loving, and kind with both of our dogs—especially our Labrador, who has become quite the homebody in his older years and needed a little extra time to adjust to being away from home.
