“Barbara was awesome! Unfortunately I booked with a different sitter who subsequently stated she could not watch my dog (Bailey) less than 24 hours after I dropped her off. The sitter stated Bailey was barking frantically and subsequently cancelled shortly before I was supposed to board my international flight with my family early the following morning. For Bailey to be barking frantically is unlike Bailey. Rover subsequently reached out to several sitters on my behalf while I was on my flight and described Bailey as having “separation anxiety” because of what the other sitter stated and “needing plenty of attention and play time”. Unlike to how Bailey was described, Bailey doesn’t bark much and has a calm temperament. My whole flight my family and I were wondering what would happen with Bailey in reference to how she was being described and if she’d be in good hands. Barbara fortunately volunteered for the job and her and I texted briefly while still on my flight because she wanted to know more about Bailey. I advised her that the manner in which the other sitter was describing Bailey was out of character. Barbara subsequently volunteered to pickup Bailey from the other sitter. Once Barbara was with Bailey she sent me a picture and reassured me Bailey was in good hands. Barbara would routinely send me pictures on updates of Bailey throughout the days we were gone. Additionally, Barbara gave Bailey her medicine twice daily for her ear infection. Barbara was great and I would recommend her services.”

About: I have raised and cared for dogs and cats my entire life, all sizes and ages, several with serious medical needs. As a child, my family bred and raised Irish Setters and kept any pup that was not 100% healthy for adoption. Therefore I have experience with all aspects of pet care and I have raised my kids to do the same. We are Tara (49yr), Jaden (15yr) and Alia (12yr) and have been dog sitting for friends and family for years and really enjoy hosting pups to play with and pamper on the weekends since unfortunately we are not home enough during the week to provide adequate care and attention to a full time pup. Our three kitties are very accustomed to dogs but we have plenty of room to separate them if they overstimulate your doggy. Our three level home, plus large back yard, will give your pup plenty of room to play inside and out! We typically run and play in the backyard during potty breaks and go out for several walks a day. The yard is only 90% fenced so I have several 50ft leashes around the yard to provide the illusion of freedom while maintaining safety. If your pup is high energy, they can also play with the neighbor’s dogs or we can take a trip to the dog park so they can socialize and run with other pups. I assure you they will get lots of cuddles and attention and I will send photos and vids of your pup to you throughout their stay! I am available for boarding in my home on the weekends, beginning Friday evening through Monday morning. I can also board at your home from Saturday morning through Sunday evening. I will treat your pet like a member of the family! If they get muddy in the backyard I have no problem giving them a bath and brushing them. They are welcome on the furniture and will not be left alone while they are in my care.

About: I have taken care of all kinds of pets since elementary school, especially dogs. Family friends and neighbors have had me walk, feed, play with, and even medicate their dogs. There isn't a dog or pet that I wouldn't be happy to handle! Not only am I good at what I do, but I care as well. Pets are family too and I most definitely understand that. I am doing a bit of work for my father around the house and our local store, but it is all very flexible, so your pet could be my number one priority. I am free to care take for dogs almost all days during the work week. I have a great yard for dogs to run around in. About: I’ve owned two Pitbulls who I hold very close to my heart and have dog sat for friends, family members and neighbors. Some dog breeds I’ve worked with are Pitbulls, Retrievers, mini Aussie doodles, labradoodles, and standard poodles. I am currently Dog/cat CPR certified. I’m currently working part time and taking classes at COD. My hours are: Monday 6:00am-12:00pm, Tuesday:6:00am-3:00pm, Wednesday: 6:00am-3:00pm, Thursday: 11:30am-1:00pm. I can do some Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays as well some current days I’ll be gone are July 17-19, and August 21-24 but other than that if you need help on Friday, Saturday or a Sunday please don’t hesitate to reach out. When it comes to taking care of pets - I care for them like they are my own. I make sure they are well cared for, fed, brushed, and I monitor overall healthiness. I report any changes in health or energy to their family. I’ve also given my clients a text letting them know I’ve arrived and when I’ve left, as well as a photo/video updates of their dog. When a client’s dog has medicine - I am skilled at helping administer the medicine so dogs feel comfortable. I monitor food and water change water and add when necessary or according to schedule. I clean up if there happened to be an accident such as potty or throw up, properly disposing of waste. I provide walks for exercise and believe in positive reinforcement. Play time is important so I provide games - such as chase or catch - to keep their minds and body active. I make sure their paws are clean after play/walks and wipe their paws when they come in the house. When I leave, I do safety checks to make sure I’ve properly lock up such as double checking to make sure the door is locked and if there’s a gate double checking to make sure the gate is closed and locked.

About: I have worked I Dogtopia Lagrange for over a year now, I have also been a pet sitter in years prior and love to hangout with all different types of pups I do work my morning at Dogtopia of Lagrange Monday-Friday if your pup is already a pup that visit I can take them along with me if wanted but the rest of the day after work ( at 1pm) I have the rest of the day to have the most fun we can. First getting a dog used to a new environment/person is my first priority than, Lots of walks for your pups, if needed can crate, and lots and lots of cuddles.
About: I started pet sitting as a teenager for neighbors and family friends. Since then, I have watched all types of dogs, including senior dogs. I became a dog owner for the first time in my mid-twenties. He was an elderly beagle mix with health issues. After he passed, I grieved until I was ready to own a dog again. Then I had ten wonderful years with Shadow, a husky mix who was a stray that made his way to a rescue. He bravely fought lymphoma for 1.5 years before succumbing to the disease. Through that time, I provided medication, took him for chemotherapy, and spoiled him until he decided it was time to cross the rainbow bridge. Shadow's absence still leaves a void in my heart that is filled by caring for other people's dogs. I love all types of dogs, and have experience with small to large, young and old, as well as dogs living with various health issues. Giving dog owners the security and piece of mind knowing their furry family members are safe and sound while they are away is a responsibility that I take very seriously. My husband and I live in a dog-friendly neighborhood and our backyard is fully fenced. As a dog lover himself, anyone who books with me gets their pup double the love. My full time job is permanently remote, so I am able to be at home with your dog at all times. No matter their schedule, I can meet it because I can be here to fulfill their needs. I have a fenced in yard for safety, and a dog-friendly neighborhood where your dog will feel right at home. I know every dog has different needs, so I can follow the habits you have created with them to maintain consistency. Whether that is crate training or sleeping on the couch, I will follow your instructions. I know that dogs are family, and treat them as such.
