About: I welcome dogs from just one household at a time, so your dog—or pair of dogs—gets plenty of individual attention in a relaxed home environment, with a fenced yard and my friendly Bichon, Apple, for company. I've been a dog owner for 16 years, including two Shih Tzus who lived to 16 and 14, so I'm also very comfortable caring for senior dogs. Apple is extremely dog-friendly and enjoys dogs of many sizes, especially those around her size or somewhat larger. I want your dog to feel at home here. I'm happy to follow your normal feeding, sleeping and medication routines, and dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds. I also send plenty of photos and updates so you know how your dog is doing while you're away. I currently work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your dogs (frequent potty breaks, walks as desired, etc.). Occasionally I will have to leave to run errands or meet with clients, but I am rarely gone for more than 2-3 hours. Days that I anticipate being away for more than 3 hours are marked as unavailable on my calendar. When I’m home, guest dogs are welcome to roam the house and fenced yard. If I need to be away briefly, I’m happy to follow whatever routine your dog is accustomed to. I do have several spare crates for smaller dogs if your dog is accustomed to using one, although I also have plenty of space for you to bring yours. I’m happy to work with each owner to maintain their dog's normal overnight routine.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old,I've also taken care of special needs dogs and other animals as I am an animal lover. I am actually majoring in animal biology and veterinary medicine so that I can become a veterinarian. I was president of my animal club all through high school where I would set up and host adoption events, set up volunteer days at the human society and other animal shelters. There were even days I would set aside to make treats, toys and blankets for shelter dogs and other animals. I am usually free 24/7 so I'll have a bunch of free time to play and love on your fur babies, especially if they have a lot of energy and need to burn it off and run around. I do not start school until the fall but even then it is online so I will still have plenty of time to give them all my attention. I can easily crate your pup if need be and I also have doggy gates so they won't be able to run out of the door. I always have treats and toys on me and I stay by a dog friendly park to keep your dog occupied and engaging in some sort activity.

There’s nothing like a good break with furry friends that helps the day go by. Currently I have a flexible scheduled and enjoy the opportunity. About: I am passionate about animal husbandry. I have had extensive training in the care of dogs, horses, cats, small mammals, fish and birds. I've an associate's degree in equine science (horses). I've had hands on experience since I was 9 years old handling horses and dogs/cats plus any other precious critter I could care for. I know dog breeds, and cat breeds and the ingrained traits they are born with. I've had bite prevention training and have had the privilege of working with so many wonderful breeds! It's becoming hard to even have a favorite breed when they are all so fascinating in there own way..meaning I love them all big or small! About: I've had dogs since I was 6 — growing up with a Doberman, a boxer, then Labs. My last lab, Niner, was a rescue we brought home at 4 and cared for until he was 11.
