About: Hi, my name is Erin, and I have been around dogs since the day I was born. I have dog sat many different breeds for my neighbors and family friends. I worked at a dog groomer's as a bather and learned so much about taking care of dogs. The most important lesson I learned during that experience is that patience and kindness are key when interacting with a new dog. Having these two skills is especially important for taking care of senior dogs and nervous dogs. I also learned that a dog experiences the world through their nose. With that knowledge, I always make sure to include sniffing time on walks. Taking different paths and experiencing new smells keeps their mind active and makes the walk 10 times better. I use all of my knowledge to make sure that each walk is a fun and rewarding experience. I can't wait to meet your pup! For the next few months, I will be on summer break. I only work on the weekends and have always wanted to give Rover a try to meet some new furry friends and help them exercise! I will have plenty of free time during the week, but I am willing to chat to see what works best for you and your dog! I have two dogs whom I love to take on walks in my free time. I always make sure to have two hands on the leash at all times when walking both of my dogs. My older dog (110 lb) is quite reactive and could try to chase something at any moment, so I need to be prepared. My younger dog (70 lb) is very sweet and relaxed on walks and not reactive to other dogs or people; however, he is very skittish around loud noises. If he gets frightened, he may try to run and hide, so keeping two hands on the leash is crucial. I never push my puppies beyond their limit, especially if it is hot outside. Their health and safety are always a concern.
About: Cats have always been a huge part of my life, and I currently care for four cats of my own. Over the years I’ve cared for kittens, adult cats, shy and anxious cats, and cats with special care needs. I’m comfortable with feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, enrichment, medications (when needed), and recognizing when a cat’s behavior seems out of the ordinary. About: I have been a dog owner for the past 16 years (3 dogs over this time), and currently have a very dog-friendly Bichon frise who is used to playing with dogs of all sizes (her favorites are her size or somewhat larger). My two previous dogs (both Shih tzus) lived to 16 and 14 years, so I am well aware of how to care for more senior dogs. I have a great neighborhood and am happy to walk your dogs with mine. While I have only owned small dogs, I love all kinds of dogs and am happy to welcome yours into my home. I am happy to work with pet owners on any special routines, including sleep, medication and feeding (I have plenty of room in my refrigerator for any special food your dog might require). I currently work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your dogs (frequent potty breaks, walks as desired, etc.). Occasionally I will have to leave to run errands or meet with clients, but I am rarely gone for more than 2-3 hours. Days that I anticipate being away for more than 3 hours are marked as unavailable on my calendar. I have a fenced yard and a friendly Bichon frise to keep your dogs company. While I prefer crate-trained dogs for times I need to be away briefly, I will welcome your dogs to roam about the house and yard when I am at home. I do have several spare crates for smaller dogs, although I have plenty of space for you to bring yours. I am happy to work with each individual dog owner regarding overnight routines.

I grew up with two labs, as well as various types of dogs my grandparents have had over the years. My two labs passed away a few years ago and I’ve missed them so much, so I’ve always been on the lookout to take care of any dogs I can. I have a pretty flexible schedule and I can primarily take walks or drop-ins. I’m currently formerly a college athlete, so let me know if your doggo loves to go for runs and I can happily take them on one! I also live around a pond-side walking path that is accessible by foot from where I live, so if you and your dog don’t mind a short drive, I can take them there! I will give your dog my undivided attention so that they have a pawsitively great time! SERVICES PROVIDED: • 30-Minute Walk: Includes a fun stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby trail to give your pup the exercise, fresh air, and mental stimulation they need! • 30-Minute Drop-In: Includes potty breaks, feeding, and of course plenty of snuggles to keep your pet happy and comfortable while you’re away! I currently commute to and work in a full-time role where my hours tend to be later in the day.
