About: Hi! I'm a seasoned pet caretaker with experience caring for dogs and cats, including puppies, senior pets, and pets with special medical or behavioral needs. I grew up with dogs and have been a petsitter, dog walker, and a pet foster mom for many years. I have experience training dogs, administering medication, and preparing meals for special diets. I know that every dog or cat is different, and I tailor my care to their specific needs and personalities. I provide the level of experience you can trust and the loving care your pet will enjoy! I work from home and have a flexible schedule during the week. When petsitting, I'm able to accommodate as many walks as your dog prefers and lots and lots of play time! I'm also free on weekends. I strive to keep your pet's routine and comfort level the same as if you were there. I know consistency is key to a happy cat or dog! For dogs that I board, I live right next to beautiful Winnemac Park, which pups really love (on a leash, of course). I do live in a third floor walk-up, so boarded dogs would need to be able to handle stairs, or be comfortable with/small enough to be carried. Also, please note: I have a full-time remote job. It's very flexible and leaves me with lots of time for walks, potty breaks, meds, feeding, play time, etc. But on weekdays I will need to be at my computer (including occasional 30-60 min zoom calls) throughout the day. On weekends, I will not be working.

About: I’m originally from KY and lived with dogs and cats until I graduated college and moved to Chicago. I’ve chosen not to own animals in the city due to professional demands. I’m now taking a different career path where I work from home and have more flexibility. I’m extremely flexible on weekdays between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. I’ll provide doggy daycare given I’m free for the times required. I’m a great communicator and am very transparent about my schedule. My model is to attend to the immediate needs of all animals. “Chachi had a wonderful time at day care. He got along very well with everyone even though he was a late arrival to the pack today but he got along just fine and everyone loved him. He shared a bed with a sweet little dog who was missing a leg. Chachi likes the big yard to roam around; he's older so he does not play but he still likes the opportunity to go free in the fenced in yard. Ian can well accommodate little ones, big ones and handicapped ones all together for a nice time to be had by all. Ian offers food on time and often, sets out clean full water (I know other places that do not set out water the whole day) and he accommodates each individual dog's needs.”

“I honestly can’t say enough good things about Ruben! We booked him to watch Tsuki for 3 days, and he was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. He accepted our request last minute and was incredibly understanding of my situation. From the beginning, he genuinely wanted to help, which meant so much to me. Ruben was so kind and even offered to show me his place beforehand and clearly explain how everything works while he dog sits. He communicated so well throughout Tsuki’s 3 day stay and consistently gave me updates, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. One moment that really stood out to me was on the 3rd day when I realized I had forgotten to pack Tsuki’s food. I was already feeling stressed and overwhelmed, and Ruben immediately offered to feed her rice and chicken. It may seem like a small thing, but it genuinely meant so much to me in that moment and really showed me how willing he was to help and make sure Tsuki was taken care of. You can genuinely tell that Ruben cares about the dogs he watches. The way he talks about them and the way he gives updates felt so genuine. You can tell that he really takes the time to get to know each dog, pays attention to their needs, and make sure they’re comfortable and happy. It was clear to me that his care for Tsuki wasn’t just because she was staying with him it’s genuinely how he treats the dogs he dog sits for. Ruben is such a great guy with a kind heart and a really good attitude. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and support he gave Tsuki and for how reassuring he was throughout her 3 day stay. About: I do take up to 4 clients at a time, so I can only accept dogs that get along well with other dogs. I am doing Rover full time. Which means more time to spend on walks, playing and affection time ! I won't be distracted with any electronic device, when outdoors with your dog. I don't smoke, drink or party. I grew up caring for a couple amazing dogs. I've taken care of my brother's, neighbors and friends dogs. I love being outdoors and being active, so if your dog has alot of energy, he'll be sleeping like a baby by the end of the day. I currently don't have any pets of my own. I'm looking forward to making memorable moments with your dog(s). I can take your dog on an hour long early morning walk/run near a park close to where I live, so we can also play ball, Frisbee or with a toy! Then I could take your dog to 1-3 additional walks throughout the day. I try to make the dog feel at home,by being calm and trying to understand his/her body language, quirks and personality. Giving them affection and playing with them, but also some alone time.

About: I am so excited to be back on Rover. I had my very own fur baby but she crossed the rainbow bridge. I love taking care of others fur babies. I am responsible, communicative, and very protective of all the dogs that are under my care. When not traveling I have a pretty open schedule. I would be home most of the time with your pet. When not running errands. I try to be around for your pet as much as possible while they acclimate to a routine in my house. I live close to the lake so if your doggie wants long walks we have an entire lake trail to walk. I also live on a dog friendly street so we have lots of space to go on walks.

About: I grew up with cats and have taken care of them my whole life, and I am now a full-time pet sitter! I have lived with dogs and done some care for them as well. I currently have a rabbit, rats, a frog, a gecko, and a jeweled lacerta, so I'm well-versed in pet care and in balancing multiple pets' needs!
