When caring for your cat, I will ensure their litter box is clean, their food and water are properly maintained, and they receive plenty of playtime and attention. About: I have my own 3 cats that I love more than anything. I've had them all since they were kittens so I've personally cared for cats since they were 5 weeks old. The oldest cat I've cared for was 13 and I know that the thing senior cats need most is love and comfort for their retirement. I've been taking care of cats for the longest. About: I’ve taken care of fur babies of all kinds since before I could walk. I grew up with a dog and cat always in tow. I lived in the country, so learned fast that the world can be hard for an animal, thus beginning my rehab ‘career’. As I got older, I pet sat for neighbors and family friends. In my mid 20s I trained as a vet tech, prepping animals for surgery, giving vaccinations, nail trims, etc. Until the ISU Wildlife Clinic closed, I volunteered there, learning more care for wild native animals. About: I used to work as a certified dog trainer and managed a daycare / boarding facility for 2 years. I was an employee there for longer. 12 hour days every day with dogs of all types. I know how to administer medications, including insulin. I also know how to handle myself in emergency situations, I've learned dog first aid and I've broken up fights in my time that would've been deadly if I wasn't there. I am currently a general contractor making my schedule very open, my wife loves helping with pets of all kinds as well which allows for more care opportunities. The only thing that wouldn't likely work would be multiple days of house sitting IF I am not able to leave for 3-4 hours at a time. I have a hard time spending an extended amount of time not being able to see my infant son! I'll do whatever someone wants for their pet, assuming it's reasonable. I'm okay on multiple large walks, extended play time outside, anything like that is 100% okay. From dogs- cows- fish we would love to help provide dependable care and always ensure your pets are treated with the upmost respect and attention they deserve!

About: I have been the main caretaker of any animal I’ve ever had, some because I was the one who begged for it. And others because I just love animals so much that their care is only half the fun. I have experience with animals in all stages of life, from puppies to seniors. My puppy experience ranges from being the one who nursing a parvo puppy back to excellent health, she is now 3 years old and thriving. I also have a senior dog, who is such a joy but I think he forgets he has arthritis with all of his puppy antics. I also have a lot experience with teaching many tricks so don’t be surprised if your animal learns something new every time they see me! I work from home and have only two courses a day, so I have a lot of time on my hands to do a good pet care routine. My babies (my cats and hermit crabs) are on a routine or rather I am. We do feedings in the morning and have an hour of down time for everyone to “stretch” their legs before I go to class. I’m away for 3 hours before I’m back and during that time I can walk a dog if one is staying. And then I work from home so pretty much I’m at the animals beck and call whenever they need anything. I am in an apartment which lessens the risk of anything happening to your pet on my watch! Also with living in an apartment by campus we can always go for walks and meet some college students wanting some animal love!

About: Hi! My name is Allison, and I would love to care for your fur family member! I have grown up around dogs and have been the primary caretaker for our family pets. Not only have I cared for our family dogs (labs & golden retrievers), but I have also dog-sat and walked dogs for other family members and friends since I was 10 years old. I have experience with other animals as well. I am currently taking a summer college course (M-Th mornings) and have late morining though early evening availability. I have some weekend availability as well. I believe compassion, respect, and structure are the keys to keeping your pet safe. My goal is to do what is right for the animals in my care while building a good relationship with their human parents. I will treat your fur family members and their homes with respect and care.
About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. I got my first cat when I was 16 and now have two beautiful cats. Taking care of my cats has taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and genuine love. I have also learned a lot about animal behavior from observing my cats and spending the past six years with them. Even though I have cats at home, I’ve also always loved dogs and enjoy spending time with them. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and make them feel comfortable and loved. I am a nursing student at DMACC and have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday available to care for pets! I am available to work anytime between 10AM and 11PM. I make sure I always know where my pets are throughout the day. If they aren’t in their usual spots, I check on them to make sure they’re safe and comfortable. Before leaving the house, I make sure they have fresh water, a clean environment, and that their scheduled meals are served. I also pay attention to their behavior because it tells me a lot about how they are doing.
About: I have loved pets all my life. Growing up, our family had a dog, and I had two rabbits. Now my family is full of six dogs and lots of hair. I currently have two golden retrievers — Midas and Enzo. They are 4 years old and 11 weeks old! The puppy phase has been fun to enjoy again. In the past I have dog and cat sat and also worked at a grooming facility. I have worked at a veterinary clinic as well. At the clinic, I was an assistant so I interacted with each animal making their visit a positive experience. I am currently working full-time during the weekdays. I can check in on your furry family member early in the morning and as soon as 4pm in the afternoons! Many of my weekends are free! So I have lots of time to prioritize your pet. I will treat your pets as I treat mine. I’m a big believer in positive reinforcement and want every pet to have a positive experience. Each fur-baby I watch will be spoiled to the max!

“This was my first time using Rover and I was pleased with Jessica’s quick response time and enthusiasm to meet and care for Blanca. The process was easy and drop off went smoothly. Jessica’s dog was in a kennel when we arrived to make drop off less stressful for both dogs. The pups were introduced after we left to get their sniffing done on neutral territory (on a walk out front). “Our lab, Yeller, has stayed with Steve and Tilaine twice during our summer vacation and he has a wonderful time in their home. They are loving and responsible and treat him like family. He loves playing in their fenced yard with the kids, laying in the sun on their deck, and all the attention he gets throughout his stay. When we dropped Yeller off for his second stay with them, about a year after the first one, he enthusiastically bolted from the car right up to Steve and immediately made himself at home again. They have also been flexible with our return time as our flight was delayed and accommodated an extension of the stay on short notice. Highly recommend this family for your dog sitting needs!”
