About: I have always loved pets. Throughout my entire life, I have had both cats and dogs, and recently my family adopted a gecko from my stepsister. Pets have always been the center of my day, and I always look forward to seeing my little fur-babies, and taking care of them. About: I have two dogs right now. One is a yellow lab and the other is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The Spaniel is 3 and the lab is 2. So there is a lot of energy in the house. I have experience with walking them both while on camping trips, giving them baths, playing fetch and of course laying on the couch and cuddling. I also used to have an older Cavalier King Charles Spaniel so I have experience with all ages of dogs. I love to interact and give dogs all of my attention! I have currently just finished my first year of college at Buena Vista University. I am looking to make a little more money for this summer, and this job is something I know I would enjoy. I am not sure how my summer will plan out exactly yet, but I would love to make time and will be flexible! I live in the country with a 3 acre yard. About: Hey I'm Syd! I'm a recent UNI graduate with degrees in Criminal Justice + Public Administration. During this season of life I’ve been able to embrace two of my favorite things: pet care + travel! As an avid traveler myself, I recognize the importance of trustworthy pet care. This is why I prioritize honest and reliable communication with pet owners. Going into my last year of college, I launched an in-home pet sitting business serving the Cedar Valley called Traveling Tails Pet Sitting. Traveling Tails allowed me to grow my own pet care experience and also mentor the 7 other sitters that make up our amazing team! One of my most rewarding pet care experiences was when I stayed with a very timid rescue dog named Coco. Coco was very untrusting at first and would not let me near her. However after giving her time and building trust by hand feeding her, we quickly became friends. I loved watching Coco break out of her shell and feel right at home until her family returned! I’m in a transitional season of life at this time which has allowed me to collaborate with owners to create the best schedule for their pets and their needs. About: I've lived with cats and worked with dogs my whole life. From bathing my grandma's dog to walking pit bulls at the shelter, animals have always been a part of my life. Over the summer I'm looking for work wherever I can take it but mostly open. In the school year I am usually never gone more than 3 hours. About: Like most grandkids, I spent a lot of my time growing up at my grandparents house. Therefore, I was a huge help with my grandparents dog breeding business. From birth all the way till their training certification I was there! I am currently a full time nursing student! However, 3/4 classes are online; so I would love to fill all that extra time with your fur babies! I do live in an apartment that does allow pets, however I do have to pay an extra monthly fee. About: I have worked in many different aspects of caring for animals, from shelters, to a boarding facility. I also volunteer for an animal shelter. I pet sit for friends often and love to do it!! About: I love to walk with dogs. My dog Buddy and I have walked and ran countless miles around Cedar Falls for the past 9 years. I believe that every dog can benefit from exploring the environment outdoors, and regular exercise is very important, so I would love to make that happen for them. My schedule is very flexible so we can meet at a time that is convenient for you. My dog enjoys longer walks during the later morning time and/or at night with a playtime scheduled in between. When we are not walking or running, we enjoy spending time on our balcony, watching tv together, and playing with toys. Buddy loves to run and play with giant bouncy balls.
