About: I have loved and trained our own Bernese Mountain Dogs (Germany and Belgium) for over 20 years, and fostered dogs (senior dogs, puppies, and Animal Control rescues) the past 3 years, sometimes taking in dogs who had no reason to trust humans, dogs that learned through our care that comforting routines and training through play helps them to trust again, and leads them to becoming more adoptable dog companions. I believe trust has to be earned with our dogs. Only then, will they let us care for them with love through routines they can count on. I look forward to continuing the routines you have already established with your pupper. I raised our dogs believing every day, every moment is an opportunity for training of basic dog citizen behaviors (come, sit, down, leave it, etc.) through active engagement and play, and daily walks and cuddles. Note: We still welcome in Foster dogs, and hope your non aggressive dog(s) will also be good pup ambassadors in interacting with senior dogs or other fosters. I work remotely part-time from home, and I am retired so aside from short trips away from the house for errands, I am here to care for your dog(s). With our own dogs, we held to a consistent schedule: a morning walk (7-ish), then breakfast, rest (to avoid bloat in large dogs), playtime several times per day in our fenced yard, and an afternoon walk, then dinner. We have a fully fenced yard on 1/4 acre. Potty-trained dogs are welcome in the house and on some covered furniture. We have a 30ʻ deck with an outdoor couch and chairs with with rolling gates to the outer yard. We also have a smaller fenced area for dogs who prefer to be outside in cool shaded grassy areas. I specialize in large non-aggressive dogs. Most of these dogs do not like like to sleep in human beds; I welcome pet guests to bring their own large dog beds for their stays.

About: I worked at boarding facility for 4 years as a manager, as well another 2 years with studio animals and rescue dogs. About: Aloha- Here, at our home, we have 3 dogs (listed in my profile). Also, a retired Lana'i School teacher (a regular pro-dog walker too!); and now 4 outdoor cats that have adopted us. They come and go as they please 🤷 I have decades caring for fur babies, both dogs & cats. Aside from my own babies, I was previously employed as a care provider at the Lana'i Animal Rescue Center on the island of Lana'i (previously L.A.R.C., now Lana'i Cat Sanctuary). Additionally, on Lana'i, I did in-home sitting for cats, dogs, and was one of only a handful of foster dog moms on the island. This was also in cooperation with L.A.R.C. In the 90s I was a grooming assistant, so I don't mind giving baths, if that is something you desire for your dog. We are also familiar with giving meds over here, and certainly don't mind working with specialized diets, ages & needs. As a mom, I know these are our kids with individual personalities and needs. I'm here to meet those needs with love, cuddles & kindness (and Play!). For Home Sitting & Boarding: Right now my hours are open, if that changes, I will immediately update. When I am hired to care for an animal, I do just that, so my schedule will revolve around the animal in my care. 1st priority always. I encourage you to make a list of things you might want me to know about your baby. I keep a comfortable & reliable routine so visiting dogs know what to expect and that they're safe. Most important is one-on-one attention & playtime. My doggie guests have their own large, private room with its own entrance and an adjacent outdoor covered deck/lanai for lounging in the sun & watching neighborhood activities. About: I’ve been doing a pet sitting for over three years, and this is now my third summer providing pet sitting in Hawaii. During this time, I’ve looked after cats and dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs, always making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Animals have always been a part of my life. I grew up with both cats and dogs, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I’m definitely both a cat and a dog person, and I enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I also offer drop-in visits and house sitting, and I always do my best to maintain your pet’s usual routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. My schedule allows me to provide lots of attention, companionship, and loving care throughout the day. I currently provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and keep their usual routine. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special routines. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while also respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. I also keep owners updated with regular messages and photos, so they can feel confident and connected while they’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel relaxed, safe, and well cared for.

About: I have taken care of dogs from a young age and have always loved animals. I grew up with fish and turtles as well! We have a Shih Tzu Maltese mix that is friendly to all fur babies and humans. I am very reliable, punctual, and have always followed through with everything that I do. Rest assured that your fur baby will be safe with me. I decided to follow my passion in life. With that, I took a leap of faith to do what I truly love, which is caring for animals on a full-time basis! Hours are from 6 am-6 pm for doggy day care. If you are late in picking up your dog, there will be an additional $15 charge added to your total. We have a house with a completely fenced in and gated yard so your fur babies can roam around freely! I vacuum and mop on the daily as well! We do have split a/c units in almost every room. In addition, we maintain our property with pesticides that are safe for dogs to prevent fleas, ticks, and heart worm. To ensure a safe environment, we expect that your dog is on flea, tick, and heart worm medicine and are up-to-date with all vaccines.
About: **I AM TRAVELING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY STARTING 5/20/26 AND WILL BE BLOCKING MY CALENDAR TILL I KNOW I WILL RETURN. ** I travel off island often and can't have my own puppy family, so I will watch your fur-babies like they are my own! I enjoy the adventure of pup-sitting at homes all over the island. I work remotely so am able to be away from my place for long stretches of time. While I like to explore the local areas I stay in, I will mostly be snuggled up with your fur-babies typing away. I am a veteran with Rover- In fact I have been pet-sitting before Rover existed using Craigslist. I have a huge love for all animals and am very experienced with caring for different types of animals and breeds. I am patient, and gentle with a huge heart for animals. I understand every household has different culture. I always try and mimic all the rules of the home. Pets not allowed on the couch? no problem. Dogs like to sleep in the bed with owners? I am an expert puppy snugger. Perhaps the best. I will try and reinforce all commands and rules so there is a seamless transition upon your return. When dog-sitting in your home I will leave it better than I found it and happily respect boundaries and house rules. * My property is in Hilo but I am open to sitting at homes all over the island. In fact, I love to! I will text picture updates to my clients so they feel comforted that their sweetheart is being loved on. Why I love dog sitting: I had a Golden Retriever rescue for over 15 years till he passed 10 years ago. I travel a lot and didn't think it was fair to get another dog, but have been pet sitting since. I LOVE having dog energy still around... and the friendships I have made with my puppy parents. For my lifestyle it's the best of both worlds! I work remotely so am very flexible with my schedule and love having pets around to love on while exploring new and interesting locations on this beautiful island. My place is in Hilo but am open to doing pet sit stays all around the Big Island. Initial meeting can be done with a zoom call before meet and greet if too far from my area. I can also do house drop in visits if it coordinates with my location at the time needed. Right now I am primarily house sitting since my property does not have a fenced yard. I will match your schedule as best as possible and take care of your place the way you desire.

About: I have loved and trained our own Bernese Mountain Dogs (Germany and Belgium) for over 20 years, and fostered dogs (senior dogs, puppies, and Animal Control rescues) the past 3 years, sometimes taking in dogs who had no reason to trust humans, dogs that learned through our care that comforting routines and training through play helps them to trust again, and leads them to becoming more adoptable dog companions. I believe trust has to be earned with our dogs. Only then, will they let us care for them with love through routines they can count on. I look forward to continuing the routines you have already established with your pupper. I raised our dogs believing every day, every moment is an opportunity for training of basic dog citizen behaviors (come, sit, down, leave it, etc.) through active engagement and play, and daily walks and cuddles. Note: We still welcome in Foster dogs, and hope your non aggressive dog(s) will also be good pup ambassadors in interacting with senior dogs or other fosters. I work remotely part-time from home, and I am retired so aside from short trips away from the house for errands, I am here to care for your dog(s). With our own dogs, we held to a consistent schedule: a morning walk (7-ish), then breakfast, rest (to avoid bloat in large dogs), playtime several times per day in our fenced yard, and an afternoon walk, then dinner. We have a fully fenced yard on 1/4 acre. Potty-trained dogs are welcome in the house and on some covered furniture. We have a 30ʻ deck with an outdoor couch and chairs with with rolling gates to the outer yard. We also have a smaller fenced area for dogs who prefer to be outside in cool shaded grassy areas. I specialize in large non-aggressive dogs. Most of these dogs do not like like to sleep in human beds; I welcome pet guests to bring their own large dog beds for their stays.
