“Cheryl took wonderful care of Oda for a multi-day stay. Oda was newly arrived to Hawaii and had several housing changes in the past two months. Oda was anxious and reactive and responded well to Cheryl's calm and comforting manner. Part of the anxiousness Oda experienced resulted he her rubbing her nose into things until it was raw. Oda was so comfortable with Cheryl that Oda quit rubbing her nose and it actually began to heal. Cheryl definately provided the tender loving care that Oda needed to relax and start enjoying Hawaii. It's not everyone that will take on a large, active, and anxious dog. I highly recommend Cheryl for pet care and owner care. It was the first time I left Oda and she was very reassuring. In the 90s I was a grooming assistant, so I don't mind giving baths, if that is something you desire for your dog. We are also familiar with giving meds over here, and certainly don't mind working with specialized diets, ages & needs. As a mom, I know these are our kids with individual personalities and needs. I'm here to meet those needs with love, cuddles & kindness (and Play!). For Home Sitting & Boarding: Right now my hours are open, if that changes, I will immediately update. When I am hired to care for an animal, I do just that, so my schedule will revolve around the animal in my care. 1st priority always. I encourage you to make a list of things you might want me to know about your baby. I keep a comfortable & reliable routine so visiting dogs know what to expect and that they're safe. Walks can be a nice bonding activity: Most important is one-on-one attention & playtime. My own dogs are kept separate; in an entirely separate part of the house. My doggie guests have their own large, private room with its own entrance and an adjacent outdoor covered deck/lanai for lounging in the sun & watching neighborhood activities. With that, I took a leap of faith to do what I truly love, which is caring for animals on a full-time basis! Hours are from 6 am-6 pm for doggy day care. If you are late in picking up your dog, there will be an additional $15 charge added to your total. We have a house with a completely fenced in and gated yard so your fur babies can roam around freely! I vacuum and mop on the daily as well! We do have split a/c units in almost every room. In addition, we maintain our property with pesticides that are safe for dogs to prevent fleas, ticks, and heart worm. To ensure a safe environment, we expect that your dog is on flea, tick, and heart worm medicine and are up-to-date with all vaccines.
