“I just have to say James and his wife De are AMAZING! We just moved in to town and we’re looking for a dog sitter due to a long trip that we had planned prior to our move. I am always hesitant leaving my pups with new sitters, but during the meet and greet at James’ house, I was instantly set at ease. He reassured the pups would be well taken care of while we were gone and I have to say he went above and beyond. He sent multiple pictures throughout each day and sent message updates to let me know how they were doing. He even spoiled them with extra treats (asked me first of course) and I know they loved it! About: I have helped my brother take care of his Rover bookings in the past while he and I lived together. He and I took care of many different types of animals including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, tortoises, and even a pot belly pig. My family has always been an animal loving family. We have always had at least one cat and/or dog in our homes. I currently live with my mother, and I recently had my dog cross the rainbow bridge, so I thought this would be a good way to help cope. I have a lot of love to give for your pet(s). My schedule is very flexible since I work independently, and my mother is widely available to help with boarding since she is retired. My mother does have a 4 year old cat that is friendly with other animals. I am the only one of the two of us that is available to house-sit and pet-sit. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have raised them from playful puppies through old age. About 10 years ago, while working as a nanny, I also cared for two energetic husky mixes — from daily walks and playtime to feeding and snuggles. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from the patience and training puppies need to the gentle care older dogs deserve. No matter their age or personality, I’ll love and treat your dog like my own. I work from home, so I’m available Monday–Friday from 8 AM to 5:30 PM. During the day, I usually take 2–3 ten-minute walks and also have time for play in my fenced-in backyard or plenty of cuddle breaks inside. On weekends, I offer boarding with drop-offs anytime after 8 AM on Fridays and pick-ups through 5:30 PM on Mondays. I have a fully fenced-in backyard with 6-foot privacy fencing and gates set up to keep dogs out of anything unsafe. Since I work from home upstairs, dogs will be gated with me so I can always keep an eye on them. If you have an older pup who shouldn’t do stairs, just let me know and I’ll happily adjust to work downstairs with them. On weekends, any errands I run are kept under 2 hours, and I can crate your dog if that makes you more comfortable. I also love sending picture and video updates so you can see how much fun your pup is having while you’re away!
“Karen and her family have become our dog-sitters of choice whenever we go out of town. We have a 12 year-old, 80-pound lab mix, and he always has a great time with the Butlers. The inside of their home is set up like a luxury penthouse for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, simultaneously; while the grassy, fenced yard gives them plenty of room to frolic and enjoy the fresh air several times a day. Karen is attentive, communicates regularly, accommodating, and most important, loving of all things furry. And she is very fairly priced, especially considering the level of treatment we receive. My dog sleeps in my room with me, so I typically wake up early to let her outside to use the bathroom. Then, we socialize with family, and we give her treats throughout the day. She loves chasing a ball in our woodsy backyard, so I make sure to do that with her until she’s panting and thoroughly spent. She eats one bowl a day in the evening with either dried nutritional supplement or leftover dinner from a previous night (she’s spoiled!). Plenty of opportunities to go out to use the bathroom, especially before bedtime. Lots of snuggles. She currently has a lot of my time and attention as I seek full-time work, but I always make sure to let her use the bathroom before I would normally go to work. This kind of intimate care where I spend a great amount of quality time with my dog is how I like to be with pets that are in my care. Routine is essential for animals, and I try to keep a consistent one with my dog. Routine and consistency will absolutely be kept for any animals in my care. About: I've had cats my entire life and dogs for the last 15 years. Currently I have 6 cats and 2 dogs. I have a way of getting chosen by animals lol. We have many strays in our neighborhood and the cat distribution system seems to know I won't let them die lol. I have bottle fed many, including 4 of the six I currently own. I had a third dog but he sadly crossed the rainbow bridge in March after 14 loving years. My dogs need medication daily and I have no problem giving it to them. These experiences will only help me to take care of your fur family to the best of my ability! I am an entrepreneur currently as I was laid off from my 9-5 in December after 12 years. My schedule is open and generally free. Occasionally I am unavailable from Sat -Tues but that's something I know well in advance. I have my own transportation and don't mind animals in my car. I will care for any pet as if it's my own. Spoiled and loved. Care will be inevitably determined by the pet parent and the animals specific needs.

I've taken care of cats, dogs, even hamsters, fish and plants for neighbors, friends, family and later on for clients through apps like these. I started taking care of pets at age 10 which was around the same time I got my cat, Allegra. I loved her like my own child. We would even take walks together. She lived a good 14 years but that of course was still too short for me. She was a family member to me, not just a cat. She was even kind to the random strays I would bring home and be forced to return lol. I also grew up with my dog Angel (pictured). She lived for 14 years too. Her last few years were rough and she was on a lot of medications. I have experience administering those. We had to put her down and that was such a hard decision. Another family member lost. I'm still proud that they both lived long lives. I've had other cats short term since then. I adopted a black cat, Maleficent Marie, in February 2023 and shes my new fur baby. I started using Rover in 2018 when it first started but deactivated because I lived in areas that didn't use the app at all. I can't wait to meet your pet and I'll make them a priority like they're family! I'm currently working part time and have a very flexible schedule so I have plenty of time to drop in or even stay with your furry family members. My home is not open to animals at the moment and I can sincerely vouch that I will treat your home respectfully like mine or anyone else's. I'm also fully vaccinated and take Covid seriously. I don't mind wearing a mask for long hours or at all and will abide by any covid restrictions you personally have. My goal is to build a trusting relationship and to have more repeat clientele!

“Wow in a word! Richard was the best! I won't lie, never leaving my "baby" with anyone other than my son, I was experiencing some anxiety. From meeting Richard and his wife, at the "meet and greet" and the questions they ask and just the overall interest about my little guy made me feel more comfortable about my planned trip. From the time I dropped him off, no matter the questions I had, Richard always responded in a timely manner. I absolutely loved the daily updates as well-seeing him play, interact and make new friend really did my heart good. The funniest thing is that once home, he slept good for 2 days....wore himself out! I don't have trips planned for the balance of the year, yet I do plan on booking time with Richard for daycare, so that my boy can stay social and make some more friends!
