About: I’ve volunteered several summers in row washing kennels and food bowls playing with the kittens and post them on social media to help get them adopted. I have two dogs of my own and have taken care of multiple animals at once. I can and will gladly work any day and I will care for your furry family as if they are my own. About: Hi, My name is Maarten and twenty-nine years ago, I applied for an internship at Artis, a zoo in Amsterdam. As luck would have it, I didn't get the job and life took me in a different direction. Now I am 45 years old and fate has finally delivered me to a spot where I can get back to my childhood dream of working with animals. I grew up in a household filled with animals: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, rats and parrots. This nurtured a wide knowledge of animal care. Over the years, we've had 9 dogs, all of which I trained myself. At the moment, I am raising a 1.5 year old German Shepherd and a 6 month old BullMastiff mix. I want to say that over the years, dogs have grown especially close to my heart. To be honest, they have completely taken over. At the moment, I work part-time as a kennel attendant for S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue. Although I consider it a dream job, my long-term goal is to open up my own doggy daycare. Approach to Dog Walking: I believe that every dog is unique and deserves the utmost care and respect. I approach dog walking with a big smile and a warm heart. My goal is to create a fun and lively experience for your dog, making each walk a joyful adventure. About: Growing up, I've always had animals in the house. Cats, dogs, fish, guinea pigs, bearded dragons— you name it. I've done pet setting during high school, and now that I'm starting college, I'd love to help take care of people's pets again!
