About: Hi! I'm Dorothy. I've always loved animals, but I've definitely become a cat person over the years. I love getting to know each cat's personality and letting them warm up to me at their own pace. Some want to play, some want to chat, and some are happiest just having a quiet person nearby—and I'm happy with all of the above. I also enjoy dog walks and drop-in visits. Spending time with animals is one of my favorite ways to unwind after work, and I love getting outside with an excited pup. Pet sitting has become a family business for us. My two teenage daughters work with me, and I love that we've been able to build something together. My oldest is 17 and has her own repeat clients, and my youngest is 15 and helps with visits and walks. Depending on schedules, you may meet one of them too. We all genuinely enjoy caring for animals, and I wouldn't trust just anyone with my clients' pets. This year we said goodbye to my sweet Shih Tzu, Gizmo, and I still think about him often. It was our first time using Rover to find a dog sitter. We had a more peculiar situation with a larger size timid dog. It helped knowing she was okay with just sitting only our dog for a few days since it seemed other sitters sometimes sat multiple dogs at once. A sitter with a fenced in yard was something we wanted to have, since in case walking our timid dog potentially was a challenge, the fenced in yard was an alternative for him doing his business. He warmed up well enough though. She was local to us so we didn’t have to drive too far. It was awesome she accepted a bigger dog since some sitters don’t. She had competitive rates at the time of listing in comparison to other Rover sitters that we were looking at. Overall if needed we could see ourselves requesting future bookings again.”

About: I’ve cared for animals all of my life. I have 2 years of experience working in a boarding facility, have volunteered at a local shelter, and have dog & cat sat for friends and family for years. I have a large friendly dog and a friendly cat who get along well with other dogs. As well, I have the free time to make sure that your dog gets the best care so that you can rest assured that they are in good hands. I’ve just moved to the area and am home to care for your dog through out the day. I take my dog out for walks every 2-3 hours starting around 8am every morning. I have plenty of space to walk the dog around, with open grassy areas. I am available through the entire day to attend to the dog. My dog is very friendly and loves to play, he is up to date on vaccines and his flea, tick and heart worm medications.

About: While I’m new to Rover, I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and have always been a big dog lover. In 2022, my family got our dog Roxi, who is like my best friend. With Roxi, I’ve been fully involved in everything, walking her, feeding her, training her, and making sure she stays active and happy. I’d say I’m quite laid-back, reliable, and easy to get along with. I like being outdoors, staying active, and I’m always up for a walk or keeping a dog company rather than just sitting around. I’m also very respectful of people’s homes and routines, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I know how much dogs mean to their owners because mine means everything to me, so I always treat every dog like they’re part of my own family. I’m happy to send updates and photos as well, so owners feel completely comfortable while they’re away. Right now, I coach soccer in the evenings during the week and sometimes on weekends, usually for a couple of hours. Outside of that, my schedule is very flexible. I’m generally available in the mornings, afternoons, and often evenings for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. My coaching hours are not long, so I’m able to work around pet care easily and adjust my schedule when needed. I take care of pets in their own homes so they can stay comfortable in a familiar environment. I make sure they’re well looked after with things like feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, and giving medication if needed. About: As a child I always had an affinity for animals. My caribbean grandmother never let me keep animals in the house unless they were in cages, despite all the strays and runaway pets we encountered and spent time taking care of till they collected. From those interactions I learned very early that animals are just like us without the vocal communication and needed our help in taking care of themselves. The companionship that our pets give us in nothing short of a miracle and they deserve our best efforts and care! Over the years I have always had dogs. I've enjoyed obedience training my fur babies and have even competed at times in AKC trials. At my house we have large and small dogs, so I'm used to all sizes! Evenings we cuddle on the couch and weekends we go for car rides, walks, or to Lowes! I also have several grand pups ranging from seven pounds to 100! I would love the opportunity to check in with your pet(s) or take them for walks. I'm looking forward to hearing from you! I will take your pet for walks, feed your pet, and provide play/ run time as requested. Taking care of your pet in your home will be my pleasure. As a retiree, my schedule is pretty open. Please check my calendar for availability and don't hesitate to ask questions. If you need more availability, please let me know. I will care for your pets in your home by following your routines and directions. Consistency is important to prevent confusion when the owner is away.

“Gail was excellent! She kept us posted and up to date routinely. We were happy to work with her. She was friendly and we could feel that she really loves dogs. It was our first time using Rover to find a dog sitter. We had a more peculiar situation with a larger size timid dog. It helped knowing she was okay with just sitting only our dog for a few days since it seemed other sitters sometimes sat multiple dogs at once. A sitter with a fenced in yard was something we wanted to have, since in case walking our timid dog potentially was a challenge, the fenced in yard was an alternative for him doing his business. He warmed up well enough though. She was local to us so we didn’t have to drive too far. It was awesome she accepted a bigger dog since some sitters don’t. She had competitive rates at the time of listing in comparison to other Rover sitters that we were looking at. Overall if needed we could see ourselves requesting future bookings again.”
“If I could give her a thousand stars I would. I had the worst rover experience before Teresa and was very uncomfortable leaving my fur baby with anyone. Teresa was with me the whole way and gave me the ease of mind that my baby was in the best hands! He got a bath and smelled amazing and was so happy the entire stay (Teresa sent many pictures and none without a smile on his face). I wouldn’t take my fur baby to anyone else! “Jolene was great! Provided us with updates of Mack with photos which puts a pet owners mind at ease especially since we were gone for 10 days. She has other dogs so he got to play and became a part of their family for the time he was there. He may not want to come back because he doesn’t have furry friends to play with just us now. He also got to be on the couch so he was super spoiled. Highly recommend her and her family for your dog and we will definitely.be using her again.”
