The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. My best friend told me she still can't believe I haven't because "Jill" and "cats" are like "peanut butter and jelly" in her head. I got my last two cats, a brother and sister, as kittens in high school and loved them so hard for 12 and 15 years. Max had three urinary blockages and after the last, he just couldn't bounce back. And Jinx had kidney disease that progressed to failure. So I have some experience with prescription food and medications as well as giving subcutaneous fluids. Definitely wasn't my favorite but I would have done anything for my kitties and would do the same for another's.
About: There are multiple reasons why I would be the perfect person to take care of your pet! I worked at Guiding eyes for the Blind where I helped train and care for labs and German shepherds. I have worked at a dog kennel and a veterinary center where I provide top care to the client's pets. I aid dogs ranging from puppies to seniors, healthy to unwell, teacup to gigantic. Whether providing in-home pet care, or hosting animals on my property, I treat every pet as if they were my own—with love, patience, and respect. I look forward to meeting new pets and their owners here in CT! I don’t accept pets from different families at the same time, and when I take on caring for your pet, that is my full time job. My dogs tend to like to run errands with me, when weather permits, so your pet is welcome to join, or they are all also welcome to hang inside my home while I am out. I am never gone for longer than 2 hours at a time, and I am yet to leave my dogs outside in the yard when away with all the wildlife around… I adjust to whatever your pet is most used to when they are in their own home. Fenced in and wire lined 1+ acre grass manicured yard and over two acres of manicured grass outside the fenced yard for those pups once they bond with me and will reliably come when called. Your dog can sleep on my bed or in one of the plush dog beds I have around my home. Each door has an alarm system that sounds when the door is opened, and cameras surrounding the property... I always have eyes even when I am out running errands.

About: I'm currently volunteering at Whiskers Cat Rescue cleaning cages and socializing cats. I am comfortable administering medications to cats. I have owned a small dog in the past. My current cats are a wobbly boy with Cerebellar Hypoplasia and a super senior (21yrs!) old lady cat. My schedule is really flexible right now. I'm not free a few times through the week and weekend but for no longer than a few hours. I'm very patient with animals, especially more skittish ones. You need to work with them even if it takes time to develop a relationship or trust.

About: I have had cats since I was a baby and had chow chow dogs since I was 13 years old. I also worked at a kennel off and on for 12.5 years. I learned a little training but not a lot. I have worked with all different breeds of dogs. I love snuggling with cats as I grew up with having them in my household. I currently work full time however, full time is 30 hours for me so it allows me to have 3 to 4 days off towards the end of the week depending on the week. We have a large back yard with a dog run and as far as my cat. He is an indoor cat and gets spoiled indoors.

As a 20 year old college student, I bring lots of energy, patience, and genuine love for animals. The visiting dogs are not confined and are free to mingle and find their own place to relax. There are ample dog beds, couches, human beds and floor space for lounging and sleeping. I especially appreciate that Ryan limits the number of dogs he boards at one time to a very small group, & makes sure they vibe well together beforehand. The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”
