“I had a family wedding to go to and wanted to find a safe and comfortable place to leave Winston, my young dorgi (half dachshund, half corgi) who had never been away from me since I was lucky enough to get him. Laura and her family turned out to be the perfect people and place. With a beautiful, safe home out in the country, a deck and fenced in yard where he could play, a open-plan house where he was visible at all times, Laura’s place was perfect. And the bonus: three little girls who adored him and lavished attention upon him, much to his delight. Laura, herself, was wonderful, caring, professional, delightful. She took him on long walks which he loved, texted me photos and updates on this progress during the stay, saw to his every need and even made some recommendations to me as to feeding bowls which might slow his eating down (he snarfs up his food in seconds!). I was afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. But I think he knows he can go back and stay in this home away from home which he will definitely be doing the next time I need to go away without him. I can’t tell you the peace of mind that all this brought me, knowing that he was happy and being well-cared-for and loved.”

About: I’m pretty much a full-time stay-at-home dog mom to my two large dogs, so caring for dogs is already a huge part of my everyday life! I’ve spent months working on training with my own dogs and have lots of hands-on experience with different behaviors, routines, and personalities. I’m especially comfortable with large breeds, but I love dogs of all shapes and sizes. Your pup will be treated like part of the family while staying with me, with plenty of attention, playtime, love, and access to my fully fenced-in yard. I have a fully fenced-in yard with plenty of room for dogs to play and two dogs of my own for company. Pets are welcome to make themselves at home, and I can easily separate or crate dogs when needed. My cats are also used to my mom’s boyfriend’s rambunctious dogs coming in and out from time to time and we have plenty of doors and rooms in the house and baby gates if we ever needed to keep pets separate! We also have a spare pet bed if needed that was gifted to us - we always want to make sure your pet is comfortable sleeping at night!
About: I’ve volunteered on and off since I was eight working with cats and dogs! I’ve always had a bond with them and I love working with them. Over covid my mom and I decided to start fostering so I was able to really get a first hand experience with having a dog live with us. All of them required different needs and TLC so I feel like I have lots of experience with working with all animals with different backgrounds. I also have a cat and a dog of my own! The last couple of pictures is Marshmallow, my high school science teacher’s pet bird that bonded with me! Now I go in every April and take care of her when he brings her in. I love all animals from walking to flying! I work part-time right now and I have availability any time Saturday and Sunday. During the week I’m available after 5:30! I get my schedule every Sunday so I can be super transparent to you about what my schedule looks like! I walk my dog 2-3 times a day. When I’m not at school I make sure to feed her at her dinner time and take her on her after dinner walks. With my cat, I make sure he’s well fed and happy and clean his litter box at least once a day. I have lots of experience with variations of personalities in cats and dogs and would treat your pet as if it was my own. To make sure your pet receives the ultimate treatment, I would want to make sure I know their needs and may ask for a list of the things he/she needs. I cant wait to look forward to meeting them!

With that my dog is on a good routine, 7am-7:30am she goes potty 8:30am-9am breakfast 10:30am-11:00am she goes for her first walk for about 30mins to 1.5hours depending on the day Between 12:30pm-4pm we do about 5-10mins of mental stimulation training 5pm-6:30pm she gets dinner and an after dinner walk 7pm-the rest of the night we chill I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run around! The doggos can run around and play with each other or train.
