About: Having grown up with both dogs and cats, I have always held a place in my heart for our fur-friends! Spent a number of years volunteering at animal shelters as a web photographer and dog walker before becoming employed as a media spokesperson and marketing coordinator for the shelter. Was trained in the Turken Training for Adoption method by Brian Kilcommons, and can handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as well as cats, birds, horses, donkeys, rabbits, and even pet rats! Having lost my heart-dog in 2023, I've been taking my time before adding a new fur-baby to the family. Instead I'm offering my time as a pet-sitter and dog-walker! I mostly work from home, but I do spend a few hours a week working at an athletic club (free membership!) and I sing in a band that gigs about twice a week. So while I spend more time home than away, I do have a varied yet flexible schedule. My long-time significant other, Mike, can usually be relied upon if my schedule ever gets too wonky! Any pets that I care for will be handled according to their owner's needs: whether it's in my home or the owner's, I require a full run-down of what's permitted (crating needs/furniture allowances/permissible food), and I also require all pets to be up-to-date on vaccinations, medications and flea preventions. When in my care, they will be kept on leash when outside the home (unless they are in a fenced backyard). I will not take them to dog parks, rather we will go to open spaces and dog-friendly patios, where they will remain on leash. Unless otherwise noted, they would have full access to the house and furniture as there are no other pets currently in my home.

About: I’ve been a massive dog lover for as long as I can remember & admit that I love to hangout with dogs more than I do people. I have one young dog, Goose. He loves having dog company and is great at sharing his toys and showing them to our fenced in backyard where they are free to romp around and bark at squirrels. I am very familiar with dog behavior of all kinds - playful, shy, extra lovie, and even a bit aggressive. I’ve learned how to cater to each type of dog and do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I love to hear about the specific needs of each dog and am all ears when it comes to you telling me about their quirks and specific needs. I run my own bookkeeping business from home which gives me plenty of flexibility to take breaks to take the pups for a walk or play with them in the backyard. I have had experience with all types of dogs and have learned which types of dogs need more space and which need more attention. Our house is very dog friendly and we allow them on our couch and bed. I treat all dogs like they're my own and have their safety in mind before anything.

I've had cats with asthma and chronic health issues so I'm familiar with giving asthma medication, sub q fluids, oral medications including pills. Note for pet rat owners: I LOVE rats! When dropping them off for their overnight stay, I was met in the driveway and Danielle was so excited to see us. Chica is a bit fussy when it is time to eat and doesn't always want to eat. They both get medicine every morning. Danielle was able to give the medicine and get Chica to eat. During the overnight stay I received many texts with pictures of what they were up to. The next morning I was again greeted with enthusiasm by Danielle and she couldn't stop telling me how great the girls were over night. If you are ever in the Littleton, Colorado area and need a dog sitter whether for the day or overnight Danielle and her family are the ones to choose.”
