About: Have dog sat a couple of times. I don't have a dog, but willing to have one around the house for those who need a dog sitter for a few days. My wife and I have opposite work schedule, so someone is home about 85 % of the time. Would be able to have someone take dogs for walks throughout the day, or watch them in the back yard Pets will be indoor. Have a fenced back yard when needed to go outside for bathroom needs. We don't have other pets , so your pet would not take away attention from your pet

About: My family has owned dogs for my entire life, so my childhood was filled with taking them on walks. Over the last few summers I began walking other people's dogs, as well as assisting my sister with pet sitting as a way to save for college. Now that I'm in college, I decided to continue working with dogs as a way to get out of the house and get a little extra money. I am still attending classes throughout most of the week and I have other responsibilities in the evenings, but Friday through Monday mornings are usually open for me. I have dealt with dogs of all sizes and am generally strong enough to handle excitable dogs. I am willing to take alternate routes and of course I will always pick up after your pet. I give ample time for the dogs to explore their environment, especially if they rarely get out of the house.

About: Growing up, I was always interested in learning about different dog breeds and had aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. Though I did not become a veterinarian, I do have a solid background and understanding of animal healthcare and wellbeing thanks to my undergraduate studies (B.S. Zoology, some Animal Science) and ongoing interest in pet health and dog training. While still in high school, I worked briefly in a pet boarding facility where I prepared morning and evening meals, administered medications, and supervised outdoor play for large groups of dogs. From this experience supervising large groups of dogs, I became more familiar with canine body language and behavioral cues. My sheepadoodle, Ivy, came home to me at about 10 weeks old; so I did potty train and leash train her with positive reinforcement using her favorite treats. I also had the opportunity to foster a litter of 5 puppies in college and potty trained them as well. In addition to my experience with puppies, I have cared for a few senior pups including my brother’s aging border collie and pitbull mix and my late Great Boxer (Great Dane/boxer), Grover. In my experience caring for senior pups, I became familiar with the medical issues that come along with increasing age such as arthritis, incontinence, deafness/blindness, and even cancer to name a few. My own pups have also had sensitive skin, digestive issues, and recurrent ear infections. Managing these health issues at times required daily cleanings, ointment applications, and attention to ensure that wounds or infections healed without interference. I work part-time in a hospital lab, with a fixed schedule. I work 4 days in a row, then I am off for 10 days. When I am not working in the lab, I am at home caring for my two young children (ages 3 and almost 2) and 5 year-old sheepadoodle. We enjoy spending time outside in the backyard or going for walks around the neighborhood. Any dog that steps paw inside my home is treated like family. If your precious pup requires *special* treatment, I try my best to adhere to any instructions provided. I have a large crate, along with dog blankets, if your pup is into that sort of thing. It is spacious enough for any standard medium to large sized dog. I do have a decently sized backyard with 6 ft privacy fencing all around, and larger smooth rocks surrounding the grass. If your pup is not great with tiny humans, loud noises, or just the general chaos of a young family, please consider a sitter with a calmer environment that better meets their needs.

Your pup would be loved taken care of and be given all the walks and treats you allow throughout their visit. I am working part time and would have plenty of time to tend to their needs. My home has a friendly chocolate lab mix and a pug frenchie mix that would both love some play time with your pup. If your dog is a couch potato, that's cool too! I also have a large fenced backyard with doggy door access and ample indoor play space for those days where the weather isn't so kind. I'm located in the middle of a large network of neighborhoods and parks with a lot of easy access for walks. I am comfortable handling multiple dogs while on walks or having multiple animals hosted at my house. I hope I get the chance to meet you and your companions, whether they be dogs, cats, or something else! Currently I'm a part time work from home professional with a lot of time and space to take care of animals meaning there is always someone home to keep an eye on your pets. Dogs are allowed to roam the house with us, and we do allow our dogs on furniture. I ensure supervised play time in our fenced in back yard, or in the downstairs area of our house, and frequent potty breaks. We have a doggy door for easy access, for the dogs that are comfortable using it. Dogs are closely supervised and typically not left alone at the house when boarding those I'm not super familiar with. I have plenty of space for you to bring your pet's kennel/carrier or bed of some kind if you'd like, and toys are welcome too! I do my best to ensure the dogs aren't stealing each other's toys. About: Growing up my family has always had pets, usually a mixture of dogs and cats (with the occasional hamster or lizard!). My passion for animals grows more and more every day. As an adult, my husband and I have 4 dogs ranging from tiny to large who get along great with all other animals. We also have 3 cats who are very unbothered by dogs. I try to volunteer at the local shelter twice a week but we have a beautiful baby boy so I haven’t been in a little while. Taking care of pets is truly second nature to me, I haven’t ever lived without pets and have always had a passion for them. Even as a little girl I always wanted to be involved in our pet’s care tasks. I know how stressful it can be trying to find a good place for your beloved pet to stay while you’re away, or to find help during the day while you’re at work. I hope that I can be one to relieve some of that stress and worry. Our pets are the most precious members of our family. I know that each individual dog/cat has their own needs and that different things work for different pets. I am very flexible and will always prioritize taking care of your pet the way that you do. Pet care is always part of my daily routine, I’m a stay at home mom to my beautiful baby boy, as well as to my 4 pups and 3 kitties. It is so intertwined with my life that I would make your fur baby feel right at home. I am home 24/7 so no need to worry about your pup or kitty being home alone in a strange place. I have a fully fenced yard and 4 other dogs. One of our dogs is a tiny senior (16 years old!), and the 3 other are middle aged, they love to play but aren’t too high energy if your pup doesn’t feel like playing. During feeding times I make sure that no one feels they have to compete by feeding everyone at once and facing them away from each other. I provide lots of toys and treats (with owners permission of course!) and cuddles (again with owners permission). I will be happy to communicate as much or as little as you need, if you want daily pictures, or even a few pictures a day, I am more than happy to do so! For pups that I’m just checking on, walking, or letting out to potty, all of the same things apply :)
