But when Merrill looked after him, he seemed to trust her and got along with her very well. About: I absolutely adore animals. They’ve been an integral part of my life for a long time! I’ve had many overnight jobs taking care of cats and dogs for family friends or neighbors. From changing the litter box regularly to taking the dog on long walks! I’ve dealt with many senior dogs and some puppies. About: I’ve always had dogs and I have yet to met me a dog that didn’t like me. My friends started to notice when I’d come over to their houses, that I’d pay more attention to their dogs, than I would to my friends. If their dog didn’t get a walk that day, I’d offered to take them by myself. I’d always give them extra affection. I would even teach them new tricks. Recently, I’ve had to put my two old dogs down. So I’m now available to spend night away from home. Knowing how much I missed having a dog to love and care for, my friends started asking me to watch their dogs. They trusted wouldn’t just take him out to go to the bathroom, but I would actually care for them and give their dogs the same affection I’d give my own. I work Friday and Saturday 9am-4pm other than that my schedule is wide open. Days I work I let dogs out before and come straight home after work to relieve and take for a walk. I’m available for sleep over or just to get your dog out of the house for a nice long walk. Dogs are just like having kids. They need just as much care and attention. Your home is your comfort zone. If I have to leave the house for whatever reason, my wife will give her attention to caring for the dogs as we love working as a team to care for our furry animals. If there are any dogs we care for that have separation anxiety issues, we can make sure to give that dog always has company! I live in a two story house with a small backyard that is fenced. I currently have a Shih Tzu mix who loves people and has gotten along well with other dogs in the same household. My dog is not one to try to make friends with other dogs as he does not like dogs coming up to him and in his space, but he can get along well with dogs of similar size or bigger dogs with time and has been in situations where he got along fine with mulitple dogs in a house. My house is spacious so there is plenty of room for the dogs to move about. We have multiple rooms and a dog gate where they can be comfortable if difficulties come up with getting along. I currently live with my wife and two parents as all three are dog lovers who are highly experienced with pet care, so in case I need to leave the house for errands or other needs, my wife can provide attention to the pet if need be as the pet can always have supervision. I will be home very often so I can take out the dog frequently and I live close to a park that's great for walking, and our neighborhood is very safe and plenty of places for walking. The dogs will always have access to fresh and clean water in the house. I will be very attentive to the pet's needs and be very sure they are well taken care of and comfortable under my care😊.

About: I have been raised with dogs my entire life. Before I was born there were large dogs in the house which I grew up alongside. As I grew the number of pets in the house increased to include exotic animals like reptiles and farm animals. From 9 years old I was individually responsible for the care of a flying squirrelly who lived a happy life until she aged. From 13, myself and my siblings were responsible for the care of large and small farm animals as well as four dogs in the household at one time. My unique experience with many types of animals makes me a prepared caretaker ready to take on any challenge your pets may have. I have open availability to house sit or drop in anytime. My weekends are also open. Early mornings and late nights are available aswell, dm me with any questions 😊. All pets recieve me full devotion when they have my time. Dogs and cats require more connection with people than many realize so I strive to maintain their activity needs as well as their attention needs. Furthermore, any pets that are supposed to stay indoors will stay indoors and pets will be fed and walked promptly. Medicine will be administered any way and any time the pet parent requires.
About: My name is Nicole. I have been an animal lover since I was old enough to know what animals were. Between catching potato bugs, feeding the spiders in my windowsills, and moving worms off of sidewalks, I’ve always had a particular connection with the animals that most people don’t understand. As soon as I was old enough, I marched off to the Sonoma County Animal Services to volunteer. From there, it was love at first bark. When I turned 18, I immediately went to animal care as my first real job and was lucky enough to work at Rohnert Park Animal Services for several years. I opened my home to many different rescue critters including snakes, tortoises, rats, lizards, and birds. I rescued my first dog and she is still my best friend to this day 10 years later! Over the years, I was blessed to foster many different exotic animals and worked with the Sacramento SPCA through the pandemic. Shortly after, I made a huge cross-country move and ended up in Louisiana working with all kinds of critters at Northshore Humane Society. From there, I ended up back in my hometown of Sonoma County. Throughout all of these changes, the one variable that never changed was my love for animals and passion for making sure they were safe. Through my 8+ years of shelter experience I have worked with the most feral of feral cats, wildlife brought in shoeboxes, all sizes and shapes of dogs, and so much more. I have met and befriended many pets that were reluctant to be befriended and worked with virtually every breed of cat and dog on the planet. I am fear-free certified and have extensive experience with medication management, basic first-aid, canine CPR, and basic training for both dogs and cats. I am experienced with walking large breeds including reactive dogs and can handle heavy pullers (I have TWO huskies!). I have also volunteered with the Bird Rescue Center of Sonoma County and have a special skillset with exotic animals. My two personal rescue dogs are half husky and bully breed which are two of the most misunderstood dog breeds, so there will be no breed discrimination from me. My favorite furry friends are often shy, tricky to befriend, or nervous. Making a scared baby comfortable means the world to me and I love the challenge. As stated above, I also have extensive experience caring for exotic pets including rats, mice, birds, snakes, tortoises, turtles, fish, lizards, invertebrates, and spiders. I am perfectly comfortable with your exotic pet’s diet and am familiar with feeding snakes and other reptiles frozen-thawed rodents. The only animals I won’t consider petsitting for are species that are illegal to own or venomous. If I had to summarize my truest passion, it would be making sure that every single animal feels safe and comfortable. Even if they’re not perfect, they all deserve kindness and patience. We don’t expect perfection from humans, but we so frequently expect it of animals. So if your pet is a little bit quirky or one of those types that gets dismissed as “scary” or “mean”, you’ve found a person that will give them exactly what they need to feel loved and cherished. Because no pet is perfect, but they are perfect for you. My promise to you is that I will do my best to be your baby’s new BFF. No pet sitter will truly replace you, but I will make sure that I’m the second-best thing. I work from home as an administrative assistant for my husband's guitar studio, so I have a flexible schedule to meet your specific needs. I have access to a reliable car and am happy to do multiple drop-ins so your buddy is comfortable all day long. My motto is that ALL animals deserve humane, kind, and compassionate care. My 16 years in animal shelters has gifted me with experience handling virtually every type of pet of all different shapes, sizes, personalities, and needs.
