“I truly cannot recommend Xiaomin more! I had a nightmare emergency where I couldn't make it home that night, and it was already getting dark. I had an EXTREMELY last minute request and she replied within like 30 minutes and took the gig. Everyone else was denying me because it was so last minute and it's' definitely understandable, but Xiaomin went above and beyond and kept my babies safe and fed!!! Not only that, but she went out of her way to help out with sooo much more than just feeding them which was my only request that time bc I was so desperate. But I saw that she had cleaned litter, swept up the litter all over the floor, brought packages in, etc. That is literally the definition of going above and beyond!!! I was so worried and I knew my friends could've helped but Xiaomin was literally the first to reply out of EVERYONE and pulled through ASAP. About: Animals have always been my passion and your pet's well-being will always come first. I work in a very timely manner and am proactive to let you know about how your pet is doing! I split my time between providing services on Rover, and working at Contra Costa Animal Services. A portion of my proceeds from bookings is donated to the shelter each month.🐶🐱💕 I have open availability, my schedule is Sunday - Saturday, with earliest appointments at 8AM and latest at 8PM. I keep my calendar updated regularly. **Services from June-Sept will be extremely limited in availability due to medical leave** Caring for pets in your home requires trust and respect. I keep to the main community areas of your home and require access to one bathroom. I will assume any other place as off-limits unless otherwise specified. Supplies such as leashes, collars, harnesses, treats, etc. that you provide will be returned back to their original location. Keys can either be left in a hidden lock box or on my person - I take care to properly label and safely store any keys to ensure they are returned when my stay is over.
About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, including my 10-year-old Jack Russell Terrier and my young Labradoodle. Caring for dogs has been a part of my daily life for many years, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals. I also have experience teaching dogs basic obedience commands and helping puppies develop good habits and routines. My Labradoodle has been trained to follow a variety of commands, and I understand the importance of consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. I am comfortable caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, from energetic puppies to senior dogs. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, companionship, feeding, medication reminders, or simply a calm and loving environment, I will treat them as if they were my own. I know how important it is for pet parents to feel confident while they’re away, so I always provide attentive care, regular updates, and plenty of photos. I currently work part-time and often work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. Because I spend a lot of time at home, pets in my care receive plenty of supervision, companionship, potty breaks, exercise, and attention. I am available for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, and overnight care depending on your pet’s needs. I provide a calm, loving, and supervised environment and carefully follow each pet owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, crate routines, and special needs. About: I've raised my 5 year old beagle-terrier rescue since he was 7 weeks old and my cat since she was 1.5 years old. Pets are so special and I always lead with care, tenderness, and a sensitivity to their routines. I have experience with potty training, oral medication administration, teaching basic commands like "sit" and "shake", & working with diverse breeds/sizes/ages/ability levels of dogs & cats. My goal is to create a safe, fun, peaceful environment for all pets, whether that's an extended walk around the park or a chill night in watching their favorite shows. I'm quite flexible for walks and drop-in visits Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm. I am a Professor and teach once a week in the evening, with lots of time spent lecture-prepping and working on manuscripts. For my own pets, and for the pets I've cared for over the years, I strive to maintain their nutrition, exercise, & playtime routines as my first priority. Whether I am watching them for a few hours, or staying with them for several days, their comfort and safety is of the utmost importance! I value consistent communication with pet parents.
