About: Over 20 years as a dog owner. I'm semi-retired. I've been watching friends' and friends of friends' pets for years. I've been the only house/dog sitter for a pair of Dalmatians for the last 5 years. I've handled puppies that are still working on becoming housebroken as well as senior dogs that need regular medication and extra care. I do in-home tech support/ IT work. When a customer's animals have warmed up to me, I've been asked if I did pet sitting as well. It feels good when the pet picks you. My working schedule is very flexible, I'm usuably able to adjust it to make sure I'm available to see to your pet's needs. If I commit to caring for your critters they will be my scheduling priority. My dog is getting older so he's usually good for about 3 miles and can't really do strenuous hikes. He loves the beach so we also take a late morning beach walk. Aromas also has a lovely dog park now, so if your pup is social that's a fun place to go. For more athletic dogs, there are some incredible hiking trails in this area. Afternoon chores start normally around 5, when I walk the property and feed and check on my goats and emus. This is more play time for your fur baby, as we watch the sunset and settle in for the night. Where does your pet sleep? They are welcome on the furniture or my bed. I also have extra dog beds for those pets who like their space. I have a completely fenced yard with plenty of space to roam. With the exception of a couple of 2-3 hour windows 2 to 3 days per week, your pet is never alone. I do have stairs so if your pet needs help going up and down, I will block the stairs so there are no accidents.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, relatives and clients for years. Our house is their pets’ second home when they travel or need us. I can do the same for you, too. During the weekend I am mostly home. Weekdays, I partially work from office and home. There is plenty of time to spend time with your pet or walk them frequently. My husband works from home full time, so there is always one or two adults at home. We live in a single house with a fenced backyard, and there is a big greenbelt right outside our backyard ( see images). Therefore it’s very convenient for frequent walks or play time for your pet. I have over 10 years of experience working with animals, including reptiles, amphibians, birds, and both exotic and domestic mammals. I have worked as a vet tech and have previously worked at the UC Davis Campus Veterinary Services, UC Davis Veterinary Rehab Center, Sacramento Wildlife Care Association, and the San Francisco Zoo in their Animal Resource Center (where I have learned how to clean enclosures, prepare diets, properly handle, and train over twenty species of exotic animals). I have also previously worked as a PetsHotel associate in PetSmart where I was responsible for monitoring Doggy Day Camp with an average of 20 dogs per group, caring for boarding dogs, leading individual sessions with dogs, and caring for boarding cats. Not only do I have extensive first-hand experience with pet care, but I also have research experience involving animal behavior, training in raptor handling, and have been a dog owner my entire life. I currently have 5 cats of my own and several other pets (all insects, reptiles, and amphibians)! I can’t wait to meet your furbabies when you book with me! I work graveyard so my schedule is super, super flexible during the day. This allows me to easily accommodate you and your pets’ schedule based on their needs! Safety and trust are two of the most important things to me when caring for pets. For a pet to feel safe, I always take my time when greeting them for the first time, getting down to their level, and not making any sudden sounds or movements that may come across as a threat to the pet. This ensures an initial formation of trust between me and the pet. Following pet parent instructions is also essential and I make sure to be aware of the pet's needs and their preferred routine so I can make them feel as comfortable as possible. Additionally, I am a very vigilant person and am always keeping an eye on the pet I am caring for, to ensure their environment is safe and free of any hazards and the pet continues to be healthy and happy.
About: I have always loved and cared about all animals. I currently own 3 cats, a bearded dragon, a tarantula, and fishes. I am currently a veterinary assistant student and will be pursuing a vet tech degree right after! I have taken care of dogs since I was 12. Family friends would let me walk their dog around the neighborhood. Although I don't own any dogs currently, on my free time i go to the san martin animal shelter and do doggy day out. I take dogs on a field trips out of the shelter whether it is a hike, a day at the beach, or just a walk at a park. I am currently not working during the summer and am taking only online classes, so I have enough time play with you pups or kittens! As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. I provide a safe, loving, and calm environment, follow all care instructions closely, and make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection! My goal is to help pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away.

“Lori graciously watched my labrador on half a week's notice for an extended stay (almost 2 weeks). She even gave me a discount for boarding more than 1 week. I chose her because of her extensive experience, and I feared that my dog wouldn't get along with other dogs running around openly in someone's home/yard because she always barks and gets a bit protective and aggressive when I walk her with my kids. Lori observed that my dog had no aggression issues around her dogs, but I felt even more secure when I saw that my dog would have her own private dog run alongside Lori's other pure-bred St. Bernards, and would be taken on walks (on leash) around her property in the Morgan Hill mountains. I received pictures every few days and always in a timely manner when I requested them. The highest compliment I can pay is that I trust Lori and her assistant Kenny with my dog's care. Also, the dog accommodations at her place provide a natural setting for dogs as opposed to being confined in a small indoor cell for days on end. It is a bit far up in the mountains, so be prepared for driving on some slightly rough dirt roads. By the way, the drive is gorgeous and I saw deer, doves, and turkeys crossing on my trips up and back, and Lori has ducks, goats, and chickens in addition to her dogs. Overall, I couldn't be happier with how my dog was taken care of, thanks to Lori!”
