“I recently had Allison and Gordon watch my diabetic dog, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. They were reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about my dog’s well-being. My primary concern is to find someone who could take care of my dog, who vomits from time to time due to the antibiotics he’s taking, and someone who could help administer daily insulin injections. Allison and Gordon had no problems giving my dog timely injections, and to my surprise, I was told my dog didn’t vomit at all throughout his stay with them! I received regular updates, photos, and messages throughout the stay, which gave me a complete peace of mind. My dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. About: Love all dogs, but only want small dogs as mine are small. Dogs must be house trained. I have had a guide dog breederwho had 42 puppies and have done fund raisers for Sherri at Muttville Senior dog rescue. I teach drawing a couple hrs a day so will be home 21 hrs a day and have a large fenced in yard if your dog wants to play. I have two elderly pups so your dog would have company. Our dogs are our kids, and we will treat yours the same. Your dog has to get along with others to work well here.

About: I'm a work-from home writer and editor seeking pups who like walks on the beach, trips to the dog park, play in the back yard, and flops on the couch. I share my spacious one-bedroom apartment with The Governor, a one-eyed Italian Greyhound and Bobcat, a 12-year-old Cornish Rex cat (so if your dog hates cats, you'll probably want to pass on us). We'd love to have your dog join us (well not the cat) for on-leash walks on nearby Ocean Beach, trips to the dog park (Golden Gate Park and Stern Grove are our jams, but we're happy to drive to your pup's fave park), visits to my good-sized back yard (great for dogs with shy, frequent, or reluctant bathroom habits), and naptime on the couch or in bed (the cat will be back for that part). Since I work from home, I'm always here to make sure no one gets in trouble, and that everyone gets plenty of fresh air and exercise. When I do leave (rare), I have a great online security system I use to keep a remote eye on activities, so I can peek at your dog from my phone no matter where I am to make sure no shenanigans are afoot. I also have solid baby gates and rooms with doors for any dogs who need a little private time, all in dog-proofed and friendly rooms. I also have a car, so if there's ever a serious issue (knock on wood that there will not be!) I can get any distressed animals to the hospital of your choice in a flash. When we're at the beach and park, I also tag every guest dog with Tile, a temporary gps tool that lets me track any escapees in a flash. Though I'd never take your dog off-leash at the park or the beach, and I've never had a runaway, I still believe that it's far better to be safe than sorry, right? “Sonia was truly wonderful with my senior dog, Lola. From the start, she was responsive, kind, and clearly experienced. She had my care notes printed and ready when I dropped Lola off, asked thoughtful questions, and kept me updated throughout the week with lots of photos—which brought so much peace of mind while I was traveling. She was also incredibly flexible, even adjusting plans when my flight was delayed and willing to drop Lola off when I returned. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches and takes the responsibility seriously. Lola was safe and well cared for, and I really appreciated the attention Sonia gave to all of her special needs. I’m grateful to have found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for thoughtful, reliable, and loving care for their dog.”

“Kara and Val were a godsend when we needed a last minute sitter for our pup. Kara was prompt and responsive in setting up a meet & greet where she got to talk with us and get to know Petunia a little bit. We were nervous as it was our first time leaving her, but she warmed up to Kara, Val and their adorable daughter Mae quite quickly! Kara was great about sending updates and photos and made us feel secure, at ease and able to enjoy our time away. Cannot recommend them enough 🐶😁”

“Alina was awesome and went above and beyond. My cat had a medical scare and stopped eating for three days and Alina was really awesome and took her into our vet to make sure she was okay. After that event I offered to pick her up early because i felt bad about the extra stress but she was reassuring and was totally fine for me to stick with the original time. I could tell my cat got the best care and treatment including administering oral medication which can be hard to do. I give her my best recommendation!”
