She had my care notes printed and ready when I dropped Lola off, asked thoughtful questions, and kept me updated throughout the week with lots of photos—which brought so much peace of mind while I was traveling. She was also incredibly flexible, even adjusting plans when my flight was delayed and willing to drop Lola off when I returned. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches and takes the responsibility seriously. Lola was safe and well cared for, and I really appreciated the attention Sonia gave to all of her special needs. I’m grateful to have found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for thoughtful, reliable, and loving care for their dog.”

“David was amazing, and I can't thank him enough for all the kindness he showed my little Yoshi. During my 12-day absence, he sent me updates and pictures, which reassured me. About: Since I was 9 I have had cats in my life. From the loving ones who to sit and be pet to the ones who are mischievous and overly clever, I have experienced most of the likes of cats. As for personalities, I can take care of the overly anxious, shy ones to the super social ones. So if you need a couch potato for your pet, or a patient cat watcher, I can be your sitter!

“Nebula is a special cat and can be finicky, so it was wonderful that Mikele took such great care of her! I felt totally comfortable and confident with Mikele taking care of my family! Thank you!”

About: We love pets and have had multiple dogs in our lifetimes. We both work from home, and share a love for taking care of animals. Our dog of almost 14 years passed away last year, and while we aren't ready to get a dog again, we've been missing the energy of having a dog in our home. We're experienced with both puppy's and senior dogs, as well as the health & aging related cycles of pet-owning, having cared for our dog through cancer treatments, kidney disease, arthritis, and more. We live near Golden Gate Park and love taking walks in our neighborhood and in the park and happy to walk your dog in their favorite neighborhoods! We've been part of this platform as pet parents for over 10 years, so we understand the process from both sides. Our experience has taught us the importance of asking thoughtful questions before every stay to ensure your pet receives the personalized care, comfort, and attention they deserve. We work remotely and have the flexibility to get your dog out for frequent walks and potty breaks. This also means we can give lots of scratches and pets during the day. We have enclosed front yard that the dogs can roam and do their potty breaks. If your dog is older, we have dog proof steps that we put on our wood floors to prevent our dog from slipping. We also have a new dog bed and dog stairs if needed.

“Lin Jia was so easy to work with, flexible with some mishaps on my part even though I was across the ocean, and so sweet to our shy foster kitties - they warmed up to her faster than anyone!”

“Hillary took care of our two cats over Thanksgiving, and we came back to healthy and happy kitties. She did an excellent job not only making sure they were fed, played with, and their litter scooped, but also going above and beyond by adjusting our pet cameras (upon being asked), refilling our automated feeder and fountain, and bringing any packages in. I would highly recommend Hillary to anyone who needs a reliable sitter — your pets are in good hands!”

“I was so grateful that Miriam could look after our Dolly at the last minute. She responded so quickly and was great about giving us updates on how Dolly was doing. Would definitely recommend!”

“Sinead took great care of our cat Luna while we were away for the weekend. She made sure to send updates and pictures. We appreciate the time spent with our fur baby.”

About: I'm a foreigner and I should have left my little Hachi and Bailey in my country with their grandmother, my mom🤣 it's hard to be away from them and my way of spreading the love I feel for animals is by helping to take care of them, even for a couple of hours. I can guarantee that I will take care of them and give them love for as long as you need as if they were mine❤️ The work you currently do leaves me a lot of freedom of time, it can be said that I am my own boss, I can adapt to the time I need to take care of your pets, it would only be a matter of talking about it beforehand and with time. I really have availability every day I don't have dogs at home, my garden is fenced but my apartment is small and I consider it preferable to play or take care of pets in their comfort zone, but I have no problem bringing them home if necessary.
“Cameron sent messages and pictures on each of her visits and kept us well updated. She is a lovely person, easy to work with and very responsible. She takes this job very seriously which we really appreciate. We will definitely use Cameron again!”

“Dave is great! He’s so responsive and genuinely cares for Cleo. I’m never stressed when I know Dave is going to check in on Cleo while I’m racing all day on the bay. Thanks Dave!”

About: I raised my first cat from kitten hood and cared for him until he recently passed away at 15 years of age and my current cat I also had from kitten hood has just turned 2 years old. I have experience with cats of all ages and temperaments and would love to help you by checking in to take care of them.

“Joseph did a great job with my cats and even got one of them to warm up to him a bit about halfway through (both of my cats are very skittish). He kept my place neat and tidy while I was away, too. I will continue to utilize his services as much as he is available!”

About: I have had cats for the last 4 years and have helped take care of friends cats countless times. I have handled cats of all attachment styles, from velcro cats to ones that want nothing to do with people, and I love them all equally (don't tell my cats).
“Great sitter for pets with meds! My cat needs medicine twice a day (syringe by mouth) and Sathiya was great about helping with handling him and his meds even though he's slower to warm up to strangers. Came back home to a healthy, happy cat and a well taken care of apartment after getting lots of pictures and updates while I was gone :)”

“I feel so lucky to have found Ariana to cat sit for me. She is a lovely person and accommodating to my kitty’s needs (and mine!). I am grateful Ariana was willing to stay at my place so that my cat had company over the weekend and got lots of play time (as needed with a growing 11 month old kitty). My cat was well taken care of and seemed content and at ease when I returned. Ariana was very kind, caring, communicative and sent lots of photos. A gem of a house guest and cat sitter.”

About: I’ve been caring for cats for the past four years since moving to San Francisco. I started by helping friends with their cats, and through word-of-mouth I’ve been recommended to more and more pet parents over time. I’m experienced with daily care, playtime, feeding routines, deep-cleaning litter boxes, and administering medications when needed. I know every cat has a different personality and comfort level, and I always try to make them feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your cat is energetic, shy, senior, or needs a little extra attention, I’m happy to help!

“Ferlanti was super communicative and sent plenty of pictures/ videos of Blue. Once Blue met her for the first time, she immediately started giving her head butts and cuddles (which is a good indicator that Ferlanti had good vibes) 10/10”

“Mikele was fantastic with Archie! She was flexible when we were running way late for drop off. She sent lots of photos and made us feel so at ease while we were out. We hope Archie gets to see Mikele again soon!”

“Sam was great to work with! It was obvious upon meeting her that she is professional and knowledgeable about dogs. She made us feel comfortable leaving Moose with her for the day right away and kept us posted with photos and updates. We will rebook in a heart beat!”

“Robert and Martin were awesome caretakers! Our dog Mochi came home happy and ready to rest everyday, they took him on good walks to a local park, and even gave him a bath when he got a bit muddy. We really appreciate their care and communication throughout (was nice to get little updates and photos about how the day was going). Thanks Robert and Martin!!”

“Can’t thank these fearless guys enough! I really appreciated them taking on my puppy for the day so I could take an exam. They took care of my sweet but handful of a 11week border collie/Aussie mix. I know he wasn’t easy and even had some accidents. I felt so bad but they were incredibly nice and understanding. True dog lovers and kind to the owners too :)”

“Another wonderful experience with Emily! Thank you so much for taking such great care of Angel again this week. He’s always happy and relaxed when he’s with you, I really appreciate your kindness and the love you show him! ❤️🐾”

About: Hi! 👋🏽 I had a small family dog (about 20 lbs) who loved long walks, chasing birds, and playing at the park or beach. He's the reason I fell in love with dogs, and since then, I've had the joy of spending time with dogs of all sizes. Whether your dog needs a quick drop-in, a feeding, or a good walk around the neighborhood, I'm happy to help. I'll always keep their safety and comfort first, and I'm big on communication — I try to send several photos and updates so you're never left wondering how they're doing. I currently work part-time, and my schedule is flexible throughout the week so I can adjust around what you and your pet need the most. When caring for pets in your home, I'll follow your instructions closely — meals and any medications are given as directed. I make sure your pet gets daily walks and play that match their energy level, whether that's a long stroll or something more low-key. For your home, I'll keep things tidy and leave the space as I found it while you're away. Throughout the stay, I send daily photo and video updates so you always know your pet is happy and in good hands.

“Bruce was great - very gentle and welcoming to our 5 month old puppy. She had a wonderful time playing with the 2 other dogs he had and it gave us a chance to enjoy a bike ride around the city with our kids. Bruce gave us updates & photos…I really appreciated him & will definitely reach out to him next time we visit our daughter in San Francisco!”

About: Pawfect Stay is your dog’s staycation when you go on vacation. You can feel confident that your dog will be a part of my family when they stay with us. About me 20 year dog mom; ~16 years human mom. I live with my husband and teenage son. I am an airbnb superhost (10 years) and have hosted dogs for 5 years (for friends mostly). I can guarantee that your dog will feel loved during their stay. About Sparky Sparky is a feisty westie. He’s 7 and 1/2 years old. He’s used to being an only fur child at home, but will quickly adapt to a furry guest (human guests are a different matter). During their stay I will take your dog between my homes in sf and napa, where they will hang out as I tend to housekeeping. Your dog will go on at least two daily walks with me and my dog, Sparky. Sometimes we go on outings to the beach or park (where your dog will always be on a leash). I have a fenced yard at both houses. I take dogs for multiple walks per day in the neighborhood or at the park. Your dogs can sleep on the furniture or with us in bed if they enjoy a good cuddle
“Ivy was super communicative and took so many pictures for us! It looked like our little dog got along great with Ivy and her daughter. I would definitely recommend Ivy!”

About: Since I was 10 I have had dogs in my life. From the loving ones who to sit and be pet to the ones who are busy busy busy and need a job, I have experienced most of the likes of pets. As for personalities, I can take care of the overly anxious ones to the super social ones. So if you need a couch potato for your pet, or a marathon runner, I can be your sitter! I love them all! I work out regularly (2-3 hrs) either at the gym or running outside so that can be extra convenient if your pet is active as well! I am also doing school part time (1-3 hrs). Other than that, the rest of my day is open! I live in a duplex with no other animals. Lots of open space for them to roam around. Also very close to Golden Gate park for longer excursions.
“Amazing! Took a trip to SF and was worried about finding a dog sitter for the day. Very trustworthy and glad he took such great care of her. Definitely will trust him again with my Brisket.”

I started pet sitting quite young and have experience with everything from energetic puppy and kitten care to senior pets. Why Me! All Personalities Welcome: Firmly believe there are no "bad" pets. I am highly confident handling reactive/aggressive dogs and "spicier" cats (they hold a special place in my heart!). I can walk afternoons and visit to feed early mornings and nights. I can easily do longer walks and visit more frequently through the day. Super super flexible. Just important note that I leave for school again on August 18th, so if you are looking for someone long term unfortunately I might not be the right fit- but I will offer a discounted rate due to my availability only being for 3 months! I understand the trust and love between a pet and owner - having grown up with both cats and dogs so I will always make sure your pet feels safe and comforted! I love playing with both animals, fetch, tug a war, and so on. If your pup is energetic I'll be happy to match the energy :).

“Remo was great! Very communicative and excited to have Pickles for the day. You could tell he is incredibly experienced the way he reacts to your concerns. Super trusting and sends a lot of happy pup photos throughout the day.”

Your home and your pet will always be treated with the utmost respect, vigilance, and care.
“Amanda and Steve met for a doggy park meeting beforehand and I knew they could be trusted from there. Amanda took great care of Missy and was very communicative the entire time. I revived many pictures where Missy looked very happy. Missy got along great with Amanda’s pup too! I will definitely book with them again!”

About: Hi there! I’m new to Rover but have years of experience caring for medium and large breed dogs, including walking, feeding, playtime, administering medications, and providing daily care for both my own dogs and those of friends and family. My goal is to make sure your dog is safe, happy, and well-exercised, though I’ll admit that getting to spend time with them is a perk for me too :) I’m an incoming Doctor of Physical Therapy student with a flexible summer schedule and plenty of availability to provide attentive, reliable care for your dog. Once classes begin in late August, I will primarily be studying from my home in the inner sunset, allowing me to maintain a flexible routine and continue offering consistent care. I’m committed to giving pets the time, attention, and companionship they deserve. I grew up with and around dogs and have extensive experience caring for medium and large breeds, specifically. I understand the importance of creating a safe, calm, and positive environment for every pet. I prioritize each dog’s comfort, safety, and individual needs while providing plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I am attentive to routines, habits, feeding schedules, and any special instructions to ensure your pet feels secure and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I've grown up my entire life tending to animals, whether it be pets or the pets of neighbors, although I've only pursued pet care for income within the past 4 years. I'm organized, attentive, and responsible, giving me the necessary traits to excel at taking care of your pets. I am available any day of the week from 9 AM to 8 PM. I am home from UC Davis for the summer and I would love to take on extra work with your pets! I care for pets in any home by providing food and playtime when and if necessary. Whether it's filling dog bowls, picking up poop, or taking them for a walk, your pets will be cared for like no other.
“Thanks so much Tobin for watching our pups with such short notice! He was timely & easy to communicate which we really appreciate! Our dogs looked very happy in the pics he shared.”

“Sydney is wonderful with my dog and was very patient with a lot of last minute logistical changes to our plan. She stays very calm and gentle even when my dog gets overexcited!”

About: My entire life I have had pets and cared for other peoples pets. I currently volunteer and foster for an animal rescue and have been doing so for nearly a decade. I have pets of my own and treat everyone else’s pet as if they were mine. I understand positive reinforcement training methods and only use positivity in my practice. It can be stressful to leave our pets, but as a pet owner myself I do whatever I can to make you and your pet more comfortable. Most of my clients take medication and/or are medically needy. I am comfortable giving medication or any special care they may need. I look forward to seeing how I can best support you and your fur babies! I am deeply lucky to be able to work with pets as my full time job. I am happy to see how I can best accommodate you and your pets. I have an handful of pets of my own and treat every single pet I care for as family. I ask that I’m given emergency contact info and at least one person to reach in the event that your pet needs care and I am unable to reach you.
About: Hi! I’m May. I’m a responsible just-graduated medical student who loves dogs! I just moved back to the Bay Area from NC. I had a dog for nearly 15 years and miss having a furry friend around. Have also been a go-to cat sitter for multiple friends! I am very communicative and make sure to give at least daily updates while sitting. I’m a busy resident, but would love to take care of your dog on the weekends I’m free. 😊 I usually am working every other weekend, so I would not be the best fit for recurring visits. No pets, children, or other people will be at my home. Will take your dog on a nice long walk!! and they will probably be fawned over by my friends for extra attention
About: I have had pets al of my life (many cats and dogs, both small and large). I have eaten many a meal with a cat on the dinner table (bad, I know). I can play with the dog, or chill with the cat. I also enjoy long walks and watching tv, so I can do whatever the pet wants to do. I am currently working part time at a wine bar and searching for a job in the esthetics world (I just graduated school). I am free during the day and most evenings. I care for any pet like it’s my own. I will feed regularly and clean the litter box when needed. I am also a LitterRobot owner so I am proficient in cleaning it, or ‘fixing it’. I have many toys for my cat to use, but they only just look at them…

About: Hi! I’ve been caring for dogs for the past four years since moving to San Francisco. I started by helping friends and neighbors with their dogs, and I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and routine. I’m very attentive, detail-oriented, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Whether that means sticking closely to feeding schedules, giving extra attention on walks, or making sure they get plenty of playtime and affection, I take pet care seriously and treat every dog like my own. I’m happy caring for energetic dogs, shy dogs, seniors, and pups who need a little extra patience and attention! Pet care fits very naturally into my routine because I work my own schedule and have a lot of flexibility throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, feedings, and playtime as needed, and I make sure pets get plenty of attention and consistency while you are away. I enjoy building pet care into my day and always try to be dependable, communicative, and accommodating to each pet’s routine. I focus on providing attentive, reliable care while keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I’m very communicative and make sure to send daily photo updates and check-ins so you always know how your pet is doing. I also respond quickly to messages and am happy to adjust care as needed to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
“Rocio was lovely! We worked with her for a few mid-week walks for our pup and it was instantly obvious how attentive she was and thoughtful to our needs. We’d recommend Rocio for any of your pet care.”

About: I’ve owned several dogs, large labrador and mixed breed smaller dogs, and several cats over the years (currently I have a young cat), so I would love to help you with your pets while I am preparing this summer for my move out of SF and to my new career here in Northern California. I am currently applying to jobs for my professional career post grad while living here for my last month in the city, so my schedule is pretty flexible. My planned move out is end of June 2026. My home is not available for pet boarding or watching, but I live in the Sunset neighborhood and have an e-bike to travel to your homes for your pet’s care.

About: I grew up on a cattle farm in Alabama, so caring for animals is in my DNA. I live a very active lifestyle and know how to meet your pup exactly where they are, whether that’s a high-energy play session or run or a calm afternoon on the couch over a good book. Whether you’re working, traveling or just enjoying time with friends, giving your dog the love and care that they deserve requires a village. Let me be a part of that village by spoiling your family member with the warmth and attentiveness only an aunt could provide. My schedule is built around flexibility. I am an entrepreneur so dogs fit naturally into my day. Morning walks align with my gym routine, and I’m largely at home or local during the week. No rigid 9-to-5, which means your dog isn’t an afterthought squeezed into a lunch break. I adapt to you and your dog’s needs. I live near Golden Gate Park and an excellent dog park, so walks are always fun and never an afterthought.
About: I have 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages and have a special place in my heart for elderly ones! I have rescued two dogs - one 12-yr old Lhasa apso and a 2 year old terrier mix. I have experience administering medication (there's always a way!), training, end of life care. I've had happy clients in Boston and abroad when I lived in Sweden and have a broad range of experience with large dogs to small dogs. I work from home every day and don't currently have any pets of my own - so I'm fully flexible! I can do AM/evening walks, long weekends, or longer stretches! I always heed the client's requirements and requests from feeding time to walk length - I'm happy to take your dog on a spirited hike or a short walk around the block, whatever is best for them. I can work on training with them and will be sure to feed them their allowed amount of treats.

About: I have been surrounded by dogs my whole life. I enjoy being active outdoors, all year round, and would love to bring your dog along for a run or hike. I have over 20 years experience handling all types and sizes of dogs. I’d be happy to discuss how to tailor the daily routine for your pup for maximum comfort and enjoyment. Your dog will be spoiled, exercised and socialized. Medication and special care upon request. Communication is key during your time away and I can provide daily texts and/or calls and emails with pictures and updates of how your pet(s) are doing. My goal is to allow you to be away from your pets with peace of mind and complete trust that your dog(s) are being taken care of at a high standard and in a loving and caring manner. “Sam was amazing! She was flexible with our requests, responsive, and communicated well. Our pup seemed to have a good time with her dog as well. We will definitely book again!”

“Laura and her family were absolutely amazing dog sitters! Laura was extremely flexible/accomodating, sent detailed updates and pictures every day, and brought our dog Moe on incredible adventures (hikes, runs, dog parks every day!!) we couldn’t have asked for a better family for Moe to have stayed with. Thank you so much Laura for taking such good care of Moe. He is excited to come back soon!”

“Molly and Stephen are the best! They sent me plenty of pictures. I was able to travel stress free knowing Duke was being cared for well. They were also super accommodating when my flight was delayed a few hours. Would highly recommend!”
“Thank you Michelle for taking Pumpkin over the holidays! Michelle took great care of our 1.5 yr old dog and was very communicative and helpful coordinating logistics. Highly recommend - thank you again!”

“Sonia was truly wonderful with my senior dog, Lola. From the start, she was responsive, kind, and clearly experienced.

“Lily was super great! Great communication and she updated with photos of Yuki during the entire stay, showcasing him chilling, him on walks, potty breaks, etc. She was super friendly off the bat and I highly recommend her and will use her services again in the future!”

“Maybe the best dogsitter we’ve ever used. Mikele is so kind and caring to our two dogs, taking them on lots of walks, giving them lots of attention, and sending great pics and daily updates. Highly recommend!”
“Megan is awesome. She has a fantastic place with a nice backyard I’m sure Max enjoyed. Max was recovering from an injury and Megan took great care, keeping that cone of shame firmly in place. We will definitely leave Max with Megan again!”

“Jennifer cared for Bruno, our senior lab, for three weeks while we were away. He made friends with another doggie, and Jennifer sent us pictures of Bruno doing what he does most: relaxing. Highly recommended.”

“Alina was awesome and went above and beyond. My cat had a medical scare and stopped eating for three days and Alina was really awesome and took her into our vet to make sure she was okay. After that event I offered to pick her up early because i felt bad about the extra stress but she was reassuring and was totally fine for me to stick with the original time. I could tell my cat got the best care and treatment including administering oral medication which can be hard to do. I give her my best recommendation!”

“Kara and Val were a godsend when we needed a last minute sitter for our pup. Kara was prompt and responsive in setting up a meet & greet where she got to talk with us and get to know Petunia a little bit. We were nervous as it was our first time leaving her, but she warmed up to Kara, Val and their adorable daughter Mae quite quickly! Kara was great about sending updates and photos and made us feel secure, at ease and able to enjoy our time away. Cannot recommend them enough 🐶😁”

“Could not be more pleased with how well taken care of our elder dog Tessa was by Carol & William. These guys are the best ! Wasn't sure if Tessa would even want to come back home with us, ha ha !”

“Betty was very sweet and sent me plenty of updates with pictures and videos. You can tell she cares a lot about the dogs she takes care of because of how attentive she is. Otis had a lot of fun so I’ll definitely be using her services again. Thank you!”

“My girl Beadie (7 years old, 9 lb, very timid) recently with Maria for nine days, and it went so much better than I was worried about (I'm a worrier, and this was only the second time we left her and the first was only two days). She was incredibly communitive, sent us a ton of updates (pictures, videos, and words), treated our girl in the way she's comfortable with - taking it slow, not crowding her, etc. Maria's dog Sparky was probably a little more high energy than Beadie would have liked (what she prefers is very low, so this definitely isn't saying Sparky is crazy high energy), but they definitely got along and I wasn't concerned about that. She was also very flexible when we missed a flight and needed to leave her for an extra night. All in all, I highly recommend. I really don't like leaving my girl at all, but I was much more comfortable with Maria taking care of her than I expected or even hoped.”

“Maria and Alejandro did a great job watching our golden doodle while we were away. They sent us several adorable photos and were willing to wait up late for us to do an evening pick up. Definitely will book with them again!”

“Mike is a fantastic Rover dad. Great communication before and during the stay. He really understands dog needs. Kobe got many, many good walks and play time. He's staying with Mike again next month and I know it will be just as successful.”

“This was Oscar’s second stay with Victoria, and once again she took such great care of him. She kept me updated throughout his stay with regular messages and photos, which gave me total peace of mind. I’m really grateful for how attentive and thoughtful she is, and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Oscar with her again.”

“Ellen was an amazing caretaker for our dog. She made sure he was comfortable with her 2 dogs before we committed to a few nights of him staying at her home. She sent daily updates and pictures, which I always appreciate. She and her partner were the best company for our dog! Will call them again.”
