“thank you, Anna for your care of Sadie! We got great uodates with photos, all instructions were followed, and everything went very smooth! Sadie seems excited to go back and enjoy the big yard again :)”

“Ehda took wonderful care of my dog, Snowy, over the Christmas and New Year break. She has such a warm and kind personality, which immediately put me at ease. Snowy was clearly very well cared for and happy during his stay. Her apartment was also extremely clean and well maintained, reflecting the high level of care she provides. This will definitely be my go-to place for Snowy during future vacations, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter.”

“Yue is great with my dog Murphy. Murphy can get a little anxious but Yue is great with him. She takes him on lots of walks and they have lots of cuddles. I feel very comfortable leaving Murphy with Yue and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable dog sitter!”

“Wow, I couldn’t have asked for anyone better to watch Bentley. She treated him with so much love and care, and I could tell he felt completely safe and happy. “Amazing babysitter! They took care of our senior shih tzu and he was so well taken care of! They were very responsive throughout our whole trip and sent photos daily. “Min was amazing with my kitty fur baby. She kindly followed my ask to time the daily visits so that my cat wasn’t left alone for too long of periods at a time. She did everything I asked and more! I loved the photos and videos of my kitty having fun and playing. My kitty is quite anxious with new people and they bonded well which is saying something! She even brought in my delivery packages while I was away. I know my kitty was well taken care of and I will definitely request Min again!”

“I’m so glad Yue was available again for my most recent vacation out of town. Yue is consistent, responsive, great attention to details, and took great care of my cats while I was away. I would highly recommend Yue.”

“Audrey was absolutely amazing with our cat Milo. She was super timely and provided amazing updates. Our house was left super clean and we are extremely grateful for her help! Milo has a new friend too!”

“Janet did an amazing job taking care of my cat Theo! She is everything you would want in a cat sitter: responsible, communicative, and experienced. Even though my cat can be a little unpredictable, Janet handled everything like a pro and I never once worried about my cat when I was gone. Thanks Janet!”

“Paz was amazing! She took care of everything, that I asked her to do. Sent pictures during the visits. And my cat wasn’t meowing much after leaving him for 4 days, which is a huge win. Very happy with the results.”

“Yating provided daily updates and was great with my cat, who was shy at first and then immediately was her true self: very affectionate and needing of a lot of human attention/interaction. I was gone for 9 days and Paloma seemed happy as ever when I got her back. I have boarded her a facility before and was dismayed by how depressed she seemed when I picked her up, even after short stays. I’ll definitely be boarding her with a sitter from now on! She’s so much happier.”

“Drea was a pure gem! Trinity was a little shy being a kitten without much social interaction yet, and Drea was her perfect first time kitty sitter. She sent lots of pictures, videos and updates, and eased all my worries about leaving. We will definitely be using Drea again! Xo - Jessica 💕”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for cats and my dedication to providing reliable, attentive care. I have been caring for pets, including cats, since I was 12 years old. I’ve cared for my own pets as well as the pets of friends and family members, which has taught me how to understand and adapt to each cat’s unique personality and needs. I am patient and attentive to each cat’s individual needs. Whether your cat is playful and social or shy and independent, I take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I follow routines carefully, keep litter boxes clean, make sure food and water are always fresh, and provide affection and playtime when wanted. I also send regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your cat is receiving the best care possible. I will treat your cat with the same love and care that I give to my own pet.
“Ryanne was amazing with my two cats! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. I came home to two happy cats and would absolutely book with her again!”

“When my husband and I brought home our puppy, Bridget, our biggest concern was how she would be cared for while we’re at work. Alice and Trey alleviated any worries and then some! They are communicative, attentive, and treat Bridget like one of their own. I can go to work with total confidence and peace of mind that she is well cared for and enjoying fresh air, exercise, and socialization. They have been nothing short of a blessing for us as our pup grows!”

“Sara was AMAZING! I left my two very clingy kitties for the holidays and Sara took great care of them and kept them company. I came home and they're happy as can be. :) THANK YOU!”

“Ella is so sweet and my boys seem to like her already. They are sometimes difficult cats so I appreciate her willingness to accept this task of being their cat sitter/friend.”

About: What sets me apart is real, hands-on experience, not just good intentions. I raised and trained my own dog from 8 weeks old, so I understand puppy behavior, training fundamentals, and how to build trust with a young or nervous dog from day one. I'm comfortable with all sizes, from tiny breeds to big dogs who need extra exercise and structure. I've also pet sat for countless friends since I was a teenager, so I know that every dog has a different personality and routine, and I take the time to learn what makes your pet comfortable rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup needs an experienced hand with training reinforcement, extra patience, or just a loving, attentive presence while you're away, I treat every pet like my own. I currently have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I'm not tied to a rigid 9-to-5, so I'm able to offer flexible availability throughout the week — including midday visits, walks, and drop-ins that a lot of full-time sitters can't accommodate. Whether it's a regular weekly routine or last-minute coverage, I have the bandwidth to be reliable and consistent, which I know matters most to pet parents. In my home, your pet will have plenty of space to relax and play — I have a dog-friendly 1,200 square foot apartment, and a trail nearby for walks and exercise. My own dog is incredibly social and loves playing with other dogs, so if your pup enjoys company, they'll have a built-in playmate during their stay. I treat every pet like a member of the household — consistent feeding schedules, plenty of attention, and enough space to settle in and feel comfortable rather than confined. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible — same feeding times, same walk schedule, same little habits they're used to. I want pets to feel like nothing has changed just because their owner is away, and I always treat their home with the same respect and care I'd want for my own.
“Thank you, Elise for taking such good care of my cat and home. You made it possible for me to be able to focus on assisting my mom in her recovery and not have to worry about my baby.”

About: Hi! I’m Theresa, a lifelong animal lover who treats every pet like my own. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive, and I make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, or cozy couch snuggles, I’m here to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. I’m great with all temperaments and happy to provide frequent photo updates so you always know how your pup is doing. I have a 3 day weekend every week and would love to fill the time helping with whatever it is your pet may want or need I am respectful and caring. If there are certain needs your pet needs I am willing to accommodate. I am in a pet friendly home and have a large field in my neighborhood that allows for pets to run around.

“I usually don’t like to leave my dog with strangers but I’m so glad someone like Claire is able to take care of my boy, and show him love. Claire is very loving and responsive. I’d definitely take any pet to her before anyone else on this app. I can tell my dog loves going over there with her!”

“It was super easy to book with him, he provided images and updates during the time of service. Was very responsive and flexible with our schedule! Would highly recommend him!”

“Yue was great to work with and took great care of my doggies! She sent pictures and videos and kept me up to date on what they were up to and how things were going. Communication was great!”

“Cali has such a great time with Jim. I can tell she really likes hanging out with him and he gives me updates in their outings. She is very happy with your routine visits. Thank you Jim!”

“Ehda was very sweet and very accommodating. My dog responded to her very well. Ehda sent us pics of our dog while we were away. I really couldn’t have been more happy with her service and demeanor. I would definitely use her again, and I would recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter.”

“Shawna took amazing care of my 18-month-old Frenchie! From the moment we arrived for drop-off, she was warm, kind, professional, and ready to jump right in. I had never left my dog with a stranger before—especially someone I met online—so I was definitely hesitant. But after just one experience with Shawna, I can honestly say I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Throughout the day, she sent plenty of photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. It honestly looked like my pup was having the time of his life! I think he may have had more fun with Shawna than he did on our long car ride home. We were visiting the area for my daughter's birthday and staying at a pet-friendly hotel, but we didn't feel comfortable leaving him alone all day. Booking with Shawna ended up being one of the best decisions we made during our trip. She also has a friendly dog of her own and thoughtfully introduced them. They spent the day walking, sunbathing, playing, and cuddling, and it was obvious my Frenchie felt safe, happy, and loved. If you're on the fence about using Rover or booking with Shawna, don't be. She exceeded every expectation, and I can't recommend her enough. Thank you, Shawna, for taking such wonderful care of our boy! - The Hill Family”

About: I’m a dog mom with many years of experience taking good care of pups of all ages and sizes. I work from home with an extremely friendly dog of my own so your dog will have company all day and night! I work fully remote with a flexible schedule. Your dog will always get a morning walk with mine, potty breaks whenever needed, and I can accommodate any feeding schedule. I’m available to provide daycare and board most weekdays and most weekends. I have a fenced backyard patio for potty breaks and time outside. Your pup will have free rein in the house with a doggy playmate. I generally do not crate or cage my dog when I’m out of the house, but can separate your pup as needed based on your requirements. I have cameras in my home for monitoring so I can always check what the pups are up to!
“I needed a place for my fur baby to stay while my housekeepers were cleaning and I contacted Ruda. He responded right away and was able to provide daycare for my dog with 24 hour notice. You can tell Ruda is a "dog person" and he took very good care of my boy and took him on walks even though he didn't have a very long stay at his home. Drop off and pick up was super easy too. Thanks Ruda! We will be coming back again.”

About: I've taken care of family dogs and I've volunteered at the rescue shelter "A way home for dogs" in San Diego. The volunteering mostly involves watching and restraining dogs as we got them acclimated to crowds of people. Currently free for the summer, so I'll have plenty of time to care for pets. I have no significant other commitments throughout the week. No children or other pets in my apartment. I'll dog walk and play with them. I live in a apartment complex with a friendly pet policy.
“Christy did an awesome job watching my dog - she was great with communication and sent so many pictures and videos while he was there! The second day pulling onto her street, he got soo excited in the car that he was coming back and having the closed in backyard was great for my energetic dog, would definitely recommend!”

About: I don’t have pets of my own, but I have lived in several places with dogs or cats where I take on some caretaking responsibilities with the owner. Me and my partner are work from home and as homebodies we tend to stay in most nights, so we will always be available to watch/hang out with your fur babies! We have an open space with doors to block off certain areas as needed so we can always keep an eye on your dog or cat. We love to keep our place clean as well.

“Sophie is great! She is caring and attentive. Maisy enjoyed her week playing with Snow and hanging out. I felt super comfortable that Maisy was well cared for. She came home exhausted from an active day with her new friends!”

I’m available to walk your dog from 6 AM to 10 PM every day. If you have any special accommodations or questions just ask—I’m always happy to help where I can. About: I offer a unique blend of scientific precision and deep compassion for your pets. For two years, I fostered shy and anxious dogs for the Helen Woodward Animal Center (HWAC). Getting accepted into their program required passing a rigorous vetting process, including interviews, home visits, and specialized training. Through HWAC, I gained extensive experience caring for rescues with complex medical and behavioral needs, including parasites, severe dental issues, and anxiety. I also provided essential behavior and obedience training to help these dogs thrive. Before fostering dogs, I was the proud owner of a diabetic cat for five years. I am completely comfortable with advanced medical care, including tracking blood glucose with a glucometer, administering subcutaneous insulin injections twice daily, and giving oral medications. My background as a scientist allows me to communicate clearly and effectively with veterinarians and clinic staff, ensuring your pet's medical instructions are followed perfectly. Because I currently have no pets of my own and am taking a hiatus from work, I have total availability. I look forward to devoting 100% of my time, skills, and love to your companion here in the San Diego area! 24/7 Flexible Availability (Evenings & Weekends Included) Because I am currently on a professional hiatus, your pet becomes my primary focus. I have complete schedule flexibility to accommodate your exact routine, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. Unlike sitters juggling a traditional 9-to-5, I am available for mid-day medical checks, precise feeding times, and extended companionship. Whether you need standard drop-ins or a dedicated presence to ease an anxious pet's separation anxiety, my open schedule allows me to be there whenever you or your pet need me most. Specialized In-Home Care for Your Pet's Comfort I provide premium, attentive care exclusively inside your pet's own home, where they already feel safest and most comfortable. Because I live in a yard-free condominium, I choose not to offer boarding. Instead, I bring my extensive medical and behavioral experience directly to your doorstep. This setup ensures your pet’s routine remains completely uninterrupted, eliminating the stress of a new environment. Whether your cat requires precise, timely insulin injections or your dog needs a patient, structured potty schedule, I adapt entirely to your home's setup. Your pet gets 100% of my focus in the environment they love best, giving you total peace of mind while you are away.

Luciana made us feel comfortable and communicated well and promptly. We will definitely be booking Luciana for as long as she is available 🙂”

About: Hello my name is Allison! I’ve been working on Rover for over two years now and have enjoyed meeting many of my reoccurring clients from here. Growing up around my own pup, I've always had a soft spot for animals and I hope to pass down that care and compassion to your beloved pets! I’m based in South SJ until the end of September and will occasionally be back during school holidays! During the rest of the year I’ll be back down in San Diego. Although I don't host pets at my home, I take drop-ins to play, feed, or just accompany your pet! For walks, please note I only walk dogs on leash just for safety purposes and I'm happy to accomodate special requests if communicated beforehand such as specific behavior preferences, avoiding other dogs, frequent photo updates, etc.
