“Michael went above and beyond with Ollie, taking on the task of bringing him to our wedding for photos during his boarding stay. We are so grateful for his willingness to do this and the special memories we’ll get. Highly recommend him!”

“Ehda took wonderful care of my dog, Snowy, over the Christmas and New Year break. She has such a warm and kind personality, which immediately put me at ease. Snowy was clearly very well cared for and happy during his stay. Her apartment was also extremely clean and well maintained, reflecting the high level of care she provides. This will definitely be my go-to place for Snowy during future vacations, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive pet sitter.”

“Viktorria took care of Marlo for a week and she was great! I got plenty of video updates and he always looked like he was having a great time. “Amazing babysitter! They took care of our senior shih tzu and he was so well taken care of! They were very responsive throughout our whole trip and sent photos daily. Our dog was quite anxious as he is old but they went above and beyond to make sure he was relaxed and calm. Our baby was in great hands with them, we would definitely recommend them!”

“Yating took good care of my cat Sofi for the second time! It’s always reassuring to leave Sofi with someone she already knows and trusts, and Yating provided such thoughtful and attentive care again.”

“Devon provided excellent care for our two cats with drop in visits in our home during our vacation. She is very warm and kind with our cats and provided them with lots of love and attention. She was also very communicative and provided daily updates and photos. She delivered on all of our many requests and even provided more extended care above and beyond our contracted terms. We are very selective with our pet care and we have worked with many different pet sitters over the years in close relationships. I would say that Devon is one of the best we’ve ever worked with and I would not hesitate to recommend her services.”

“We have a very shy, high anxiety cat who typically hides from all our guests. But she must have sensed how amazing Chunli is because she warmed up to her right away! Chunli checked in on our cat while we were out of town for a week. She was very attentive and gave prompt updates on our poor anxious cat who threw up multiple hairballs while we were gone, likely due to stress. She cleaned up my cat’s extra messes and kept a close eye. I felt at total ease with Chunli looking after her. She saw that my cat’s playful behavior and appetite were otherwise normal and knew what to look out for. Our cat was so happy with Chunli that she even rolled over and showed her belly! Furthermore, we unexpectedly had to stay an extra night out of town and Chunli was graciously accommodating and agreed right away to watch our cat an extra day. I highly recommend her as a sitter. 10/10!”

About: I have lived with so many different animals, I am highly observant. I can quickly pick up on subtle changes in a pet's mood or health, ensuring they feel safe and understood while you are away. I am College student who has entered his summer break. I want to use this time to enjoy my time with pets and earn cash. I provide attentive, personalized care tailored to each pet’s unique routine. Whether at your home or mine, I ensure a safe, nurturing environment with plenty of play, companionship, and reliable consistency.

“Audrey was absolutely amazing with our cat Milo. She was super timely and provided amazing updates. Our house was left super clean and we are extremely grateful for her help! Milo has a new friend too!”

“Paz was amazing! She took care of everything, that I asked her to do. Sent pictures during the visits. And my cat wasn’t meowing much after leaving him for 4 days, which is a huge win. Very happy with the results.”

“When my husband and I brought home our puppy, Bridget, our biggest concern was how she would be cared for while we’re at work. Alice and Trey alleviated any worries and then some! They are communicative, attentive, and treat Bridget like one of their own. I can go to work with total confidence and peace of mind that she is well cared for and enjoying fresh air, exercise, and socialization. They have been nothing short of a blessing for us as our pup grows!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Zhongyu! She was incredibly reliable, communicative, and gentle with our cat. She sent detailed updates and photos during each visit, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We would absolutely book with her again.”

About: What sets me apart is real, hands-on experience, not just good intentions. I raised and trained my own dog from 8 weeks old, so I understand puppy behavior, training fundamentals, and how to build trust with a young or nervous dog from day one. I'm comfortable with all sizes, from tiny breeds to big dogs who need extra exercise and structure. I've also pet sat for countless friends since I was a teenager, so I know that every dog has a different personality and routine, and I take the time to learn what makes your pet comfortable rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether your pup needs an experienced hand with training reinforcement, extra patience, or just a loving, attentive presence while you're away, I treat every pet like my own. I currently have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I'm not tied to a rigid 9-to-5, so I'm able to offer flexible availability throughout the week — including midday visits, walks, and drop-ins that a lot of full-time sitters can't accommodate. Whether it's a regular weekly routine or last-minute coverage, I have the bandwidth to be reliable and consistent, which I know matters most to pet parents. In my home, your pet will have plenty of space to relax and play — I have a dog-friendly 1,200 square foot apartment, and a trail nearby for walks and exercise. My own dog is incredibly social and loves playing with other dogs, so if your pup enjoys company, they'll have a built-in playmate during their stay. I treat every pet like a member of the household — consistent feeding schedules, plenty of attention, and enough space to settle in and feel comfortable rather than confined. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible — same feeding times, same walk schedule, same little habits they're used to. I want pets to feel like nothing has changed just because their owner is away, and I always treat their home with the same respect and care I'd want for my own.
“Karen has watched our cat on several trips, and every time has been easy and reliable. She’s professional, warm, and easy to communicate with, and we always get thoughtful updates and photos, which makes being away feel a lot better. Our cat has a specific routine with supplements and a wet food to water ratio, and Karen handles it with ease. She also takes time to play with our energetic young cat. Also, our cat genuinely enjoys her, which means everything to us. Would absolutely recommend Karen if you’re looking for someone consistent, communicative, and kind. 💛”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for cats and my dedication to providing reliable, attentive care. I have been caring for pets, including cats, since I was 12 years old. I’ve cared for my own pets as well as the pets of friends and family members, which has taught me how to understand and adapt to each cat’s unique personality and needs. I am patient and attentive to each cat’s individual needs. Whether your cat is playful and social or shy and independent, I take the time to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. “Nataliya took fantastic care of our two kitties! She was very reliable, great at communicating and really cares about the animals in her care ☺️ I would highly recommend her! You couldn’t choose anyone better.”

About: I have experience caring for my own male senior cat, Bobo, who had UTI issues. I’m comfortable giving medication, supporting hydration, monitoring litter box behavior closely, and following special diets. Since his first UTI five years ago, he hasn’t had a recurrence thanks to consistent, attentive care.

“Oh wow! On top of already being a wonderful sitter with drop-in visits, there was an emergency (saw on my pet cam) at my place when our litter-robot malfunctioned :( Texted Caitlin last minute and she immediately came over that same day to try to fix it. When fixing didn’t work, she also went out of her way to go to the store and bought a litter box when the litter-robot stayed broken. She’s seriously AMAZING! Thank you so much for your time and effort, Caitlin! Truly recommend her as a sitter!!”

“I cannot recommend Brianna enough as a pet sitter! She took care of my cat, Henry, while I was away, and her attentiveness and care were truly outstanding. Brianna kept me updated with regular pictures and videos, which not only let me see how happy and well-cared-for Henry was but also gave me so much peace of mind. She clearly loves what she does and took the time to make Henry feel comfortable and cared for. Knowing I could trust her completely made my time away so much easier. If you’re looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and dedicated, Brianna is absolutely the best choice. Thank you, Brianna, for going above and beyond!”

“Roberta was an exceptional cat sitter. She went above and beyond to make sure our kitty was well cared for and provided detailed and adorable photos each day. She even took in our packages and met us before our trip to get the lay of the land and to meet our kitty so she was familiar with our space before we left. She was consistent, communicative, and super reliable. I would hire her again in a second! Thanks so much, Roberta!”

Also, have my helpers ( my kids off school, are ready to help)! Right now I am open to come and take care of your pets! Always willing to come first to get to know your pets, and introduce myself. Folowing the rules and instructions- that’s number one priority. Safety, Trust, Care and Love only!

“Couldn't recommend Jasmine enough! She was super communicative, kind and sent lots of photo updates while I was out of town. We had one of our walkers fall through while on vacation and she had no problem helping us out last minute :) Definitely will be using her services again in the future!”

“Alana and her husband were so amazing to Sadie! Sadie is normally a little timid at first but when I picked her up she didn’t want to go! She had a great time and I would definitely recommend Alana to anyone in the future. Her and her husband are total dog people!!”

About: Wondering why my rate might be different than another sitter’s? Rover takes a huge portion of the price you see listed. Please feel free to message me about services i can provide or waive; and I am more than willing to negotiate a fair price depending on the level of care your pup needs! I am able to provide a luxury boarding service at a beautiful, large, home with a massive pet safe backyard! We even have a pool if your pup loves to swim. I provide basic training (unless you prefer I don’t!) and I have a bachelors in art from a prestigious university- so I will provide as many photos and videos as you’d like for free- and can also offer photo shoot and portrait painting (either digital or traditional) services, which can be great for getting your pup at their most comfortable when meeting a photographer or painter! I can provide one on one time, I never leave dogs alone unless requested, and I provide your dog all the cuddles and playtime they want! Since it can be better for both me and you, we can negotiate rates for all services based on your preferences- I won’t ask you to pay for something your pup wouldn’t benefit from! I am American Red cross Cat and Dog First Aid certified, updated very recently. I’ve taken care of my family pets since I was four years old, and got my first dog of my own, a teacup yorkie named Sophie, who was my support dog when I was around 13 years old. Ever since then I’ve had a wonderful support dog named Tommy, and now I currently am training my dog Stevie and my puppy, Chloe to be psychiatric service dogs, working with a professional trainer who thinks I’m a natural! I am a great trainer and I am more than happy to offer that service if you’d like, but i’m not a certified trainer yet! I know pet first aid and cpr. I also had another puppy who lived for just under a year, who passed during a routine anesthesia procedure, which was devastating, but now I know she lives on in my puppy Chloe. I am disabled (chronic lower back pain) but i have mobility aids, can walk around your home/my home unaided, can carry small dogs if requested, and can take your pup out as many times as you’d like. I have a HUGE backyard with plenty of grass, and so I can play with the pups/be outside with them as much as you’d like! Currently in the house here I have Stevie and Chloe, but they can be crated/in a separate part of the house as much as you’d like. I will have one of my parents home so they can keep them 100% completely out of sight if that’s your preference! I’m looking to become a dogsitter because, honestly, dogs are my favorite, and i love connecting with dogs with positive reinforcement and love! I’m so beyond excited for the opportunity to meet your dogs! (And maybe even paint them for you, too!) I currently work remotely part time so i’ll be home all day and all night, and i make my own hours so I can take pretty much any job, any time, for any length of time. When i’m at home without any other pups here, I take care of my dogs Stevie and Chloe full time. They sleep with me (unless you’d rather your pup sleep up here!) so have special puppy guards on the bed so they don’t accidentally fall off while they sleep up here ever! If you’d like, i can keep my dogs with one of my parents so your pups don’t interact. I have a big fenced yard that not even the smallest puppy could get out from! I have two extremely well behaved soon to be service dogs that i’m currently training, They are very small Yorkies, Stevie is 6 years old and about 7 pounds, and Chloe is 5 months and about 2.5 pounds. They can be involved as much or as little as you prefer, but all dogs in our home need to be fully vaccinated please. In your home, I would do everything a dog needs, I’d make sure water is full and available 24/7, i’d take your pups out for playing/potty breaks as often as you’d prefer, i’d feed them and give medication if needed (i have lots of experience giving puppies, adult, and senior dogs medications!) If you let me know your preferences, i’m sure i can treat your dog with so much care and love, and help them feel their routines aren’t too different then they are with you, if that’s your preference! And I LOVE dog cuddles, and cat cuddles! Also, my brother is a vet tech that works at Rancho Bernardo Vetrinary Clinic so I have him, my vet, and my trusted vet emergency hospital all on speed dial, just in case! If needed I can hop in a car and take your pups to the park, the vet, the er, to get groomed, etc. (I will never put your dog in my car without consent, of course!!)
“I needed a place for my fur baby to stay while my housekeepers were cleaning and I contacted Ruda. He responded right away and was able to provide daycare for my dog with 24 hour notice. You can tell Ruda is a "dog person" and he took very good care of my boy and took him on walks even though he didn't have a very long stay at his home. Drop off and pick up was super easy too. Thanks Ruda! We will be coming back again.”
“I usually don’t like to leave my dog with strangers but I’m so glad someone like Claire is able to take care of my boy, and show him love. Claire is very loving and responsive. I’d definitely take any pet to her before anyone else on this app. I can tell my dog loves going over there with her!”

“I am thrilled to have found Deborah on Rover. My little newly adopted rescue dog has separation anxiety and I’ve needed to have her in daycare several times a week. Deborah and her family and dog, Teddy, have provided a second home for my pup. She has thrived in the safe, caring, loving environment of their home. Deborah is reliable and responsive, and has been very accommodating to my needs. She is cheerful, friendly and kind, always giving me peace of mind while I’m away.”

About: I have had dogs all my life and have worked in dog rescue for 3 years doing foster care, screening and medical care and coordination. I have a home with a secure yard and will supervise your dog at all times. I will accept dogs that are 22 lbs and under and get along well with other dogs. I am 90% retired and am home most of the time. I am available most days and evenings. My resident dog is a 12lb 6 yr old Maltese mix. I have a house in Carmel Valley with a secure fenced yard . Dogs will always be supervised closely when outside. I have plenty of options for your dog to play and chill in the house. They can lounge on the couches or dog beds. The dog is never crated unless they desire it and enjoy it as a safe space.
“Kimberly and her family are absolutely FANTASTIC! I only trust my pup, Rizzo, in their care. They treat him as one of their own and I feel so incredibly lucky for them! Thank you!!!’”

“Ehda was very sweet and very accommodating. My dog responded to her very well. Ehda sent us pics of our dog while we were away. I really couldn’t have been more happy with her service and demeanor. I would definitely use her again, and I would recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter.”

About: I’m a dog mom with many years of experience taking good care of pups of all ages and sizes. I work from home with an extremely friendly dog of my own so your dog will have company all day and night! I work fully remote with a flexible schedule. Your dog will always get a morning walk with mine, potty breaks whenever needed, and I can accommodate any feeding schedule. I’m available to provide daycare and board most weekdays and most weekends. I have a fenced backyard patio for potty breaks and time outside. Your pup will have free rein in the house with a doggy playmate. I generally do not crate or cage my dog when I’m out of the house, but can separate your pup as needed based on your requirements. I have cameras in my home for monitoring so I can always check what the pups are up to!

“Sophie is great! She is caring and attentive. Maisy enjoyed her week playing with Snow and hanging out. I felt super comfortable that Maisy was well cared for. She came home exhausted from an active day with her new friends!”

“Christy did an awesome job watching my dog - she was great with communication and sent so many pictures and videos while he was there! The second day pulling onto her street, he got soo excited in the car that he was coming back and having the closed in backyard was great for my energetic dog, would definitely recommend!”

“This is the third time we have left our pug with Danielle! I have so much peace of mind leaving him with her - she’s so responsive and sends updates throughout the day. He has the best day and always comes home so tired from playing (which is exactly what I want)!”

“We all know that finding a great sitter can be a bit challenging due to wanting only the best for our pets. Well look no further!! Angelina was very kind and very easy to communicate with throughout the day. Prior to dropping of Cloud (my dog), she asked a series of questions to insure the safety and overall well being for him which exemplified validity. Also, she provided plenty of amenities”

“I’m so glad we found Caitlin. She was super flexible and available for us bright and early. She was also the perfect calm our puppy needed. I could tell my puppy was very excited to go back to her home.”

“Nicole was amazing! Kobe had so much fun playing and I was not anxious at all leaving him. I got cute picture updates the entire time I was at work and loved every single one of them!”

“Debbie is absolutely a gem! She was so open to walking Cuzco for me, he felt comfortable with her. She kept up in communication with me while I was away. She went above and beyond for him, and I’m so grateful!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats long before I ever had any of my own! In terms of cats, I never owned any, but I was always around cats and foster kittens at others' houses, and love them! I've had my own dog for over 12 years, and I also spend much of my time taking care of larger and elderly dogs (with physical issues) of my relatives. Due to this, I also have experience with walking 1-3 dogs at a time. I love to pick up the speed of a walk, but I can also be patient and cater towards the needs of injured or elderly dogs. I am a senior at Santa Clara University and have a lot more time on my hands over the next few months. My weekends are generally free and I have a lot of free pockets of time during the week. I plan to offer both walking services and sitting services, in the comfort of the pet's own home. Therefore, I will abide by the rules and desires of the pet's owner, and the of pet of course:)
“Chunli was great with our dog, who could be a bit cautious with unfamiliar people, but I could tell he trusted Chunli right away. We appreciate Chunli’s timely updates and pictures a lot , also feel very lucky to have her to take care of our dog while we were not home. Thank you!”

“This is our first time using Natalyia. We are so happy with her service. She walked our golden retriever, I was so surprised our golden really enjoyed his walks with her. He is a very anxious dog and it takes a lot to calm him . However we were surprised how quickly he got adjusted with her and was looking forward to his walks each and every time. Natalyia is very calm, patient and completely remove all his anxiety and fears.”

“Brittany walks my golden weekly and always does a great job! She is punctual, attentive, and a good communicator. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a trustworthy person to take care of their fur child.”

About: I've been a dog owner myself for many years, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. As an active UCSD student-athlete, I love spending time outdoors and can provide dogs with plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply having someone around to keep them company, I'm happy to adapt to their needs. I'm responsible, dependable, and experienced in providing attentive care through both my personal experience as a dog owner and my customer service background. I'm comfortable following specific instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special preferences your pet may have. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I’m an early riser and already spend a lot of time staying active, so I’m available for morning, afternoon, and early evening walks depending on my class and training schedule. I’m especially available on weekends and can be flexible during breaks or lighter academic weeks. I’m very organized and will make sure I can reliably commit to any walks or visits I agree to, so pet care fits in smoothly with my routine. I prioritize safety, consistency, and following all owner instructions closely. I ensure pets are securely leashed, avoid unsafe situations, and pay attention to each animal’s needs and behavior. I treat every home with respect and provide regular updates so owners feel confident their pets are safe and well cared for.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I grew up with six cats and two dogs, so I learned early how to read body language, respect boundaries, and adapt to different temperaments. I'm just as comfortable tiring out a high energy pup on a long beach walk as I am giving a shy cat the quiet, patient presence they need. I'm experienced with feeding routines, administering medications, and caring for multiple pets at once. You'll always get updates and photos, because I know peace of mind matters as much as great care. I’m active and love getting outside for long walks, playtime, and keeping dogs engaged. At the same time, I’m just as happy providing a calm, cozy presence for cats or more relaxed pets. I’m also comfortable caring for multiple pets, following feeding routines, and handling medications if needed. I take pride in being dependable and communicative, and I’m always happy to send updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved the entire time you’re gone. I work full-time during the day and am available after 5 PM on weekdays, with flexible weekend availability. I genuinely enjoy staying active, so fitting walks and visits into my routine is a pleasure, not an obligation. I care for pets in their own homes, following your routines closely so everything feels familiar. I live near the beach in a very walkable neighborhood, no yard, but plenty of sniff-heavy, stimulating walks tailored to your dog's energy level. I treat every home with the same respect I'd want in mine: doors locked, counters wiped, and your pet settled and content when you return. I have experience dog sitting and walking, and I treat every home with respect and care, keeping things clean and consistent so owners can feel completely at ease.
About: I am an animal lover that is passionate about caring for all animals, specifically rescue animals and animals that may require unique behavioral support or have special needs. My own dog is highly reactive, so I have a lot of experience with handling and caring for reactive dogs. I treat and love every animal as my own and am a very responsible and reliable caregiver. I work as a school psychologist, so I typically care for animals more over the summer! Over the summer, I am available throughout the day for walks or drop in services. I am very flexible both week days and weekends, check my calendar to see if I’m available! I do not offer in-home pet care due to the needs of my own pets. However, I am a very responsible and respectful caregiver when entering client homes.
“Hanna has been an excellent communicator, punctual, and above all amazing with our dog. Our dog is a bit territorial but he took right to Hanna upon meeting her. I appreciated her notes and updates and have already asked her to be our new regular!”

“Great picures always reassures the owner how a dog behaves and enjoys. Alex arrives, consistently on time, does not make any assumptions and asks the right questions for any concerns regarding my dog. I am hastle free of any doubts or concerns when my dog is cared by Alex, as my dog hurdles past anything to reassure me what a great walk he just had!”

“We have used Karen a couple of times, she is great! She is very kind and very thorough. She made sure my pups were well taken care of when I was not able to be there.”

About: I have hands-on experience with reactive dogs, having raised and trained two of my own. I know how much patience, consistency, and calm energy it takes to help a nervous or reactive pup feel safe, and I’ve spent countless hours on exposure work and training to do just that. Whether your dog is shy, anxious, or still learning their manners, they’re in understanding hands with me Caring for dogs is part of my daily rhythm. Between my own dog and the time I spend on walks and play, dogs are always in my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, and giving your pup the time and attention they deserve I’ll always come to you, where your dog feels safest. I’ll follow whatever routine your pup already knows, and when we’re walking, my phone stays in my pocket so your dog has my full attention. I always keep the leash secure and lock up before I go. If your dog is reactive, you’re in good hands. I’ve had two reactive dogs of my own, so I know how to stay calm, read the signs, and move them away from triggers before things get to be too much. Either way, you’ll get photo updates so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and safe

“My dog is always so happy and wiped after these walks! Also they provide amazing pictures to show how much fun was had. They seem to really emphasize having fun with my dog.”

About: I have special skills in senior care and animals who need special care post surgery. I have about 3 dogs and 1 cat who are all seniors. The first dog I adopted millie was on the older side and as the years gone by I have learned and educated myself on how to properly care for senior dogs, and the most important thing I have learned is patience is key. My oldest dog millie also had multiple surgeries due to cancerous tumor that spread. Thankfully she is fine but after many surgeries I have learned the skills on how to properly take care of dogs post surgery. I also have lots of experience with kittens from my time volunteer at a feline rescue. I am a UCLA student who does this work during my summer break. I am available from beginning of june-end of september. I will also be working a job that are about 5.30 hours each shift 4 days a week. Depending on exactly what day of the week you need I can work around your schedule. My other summer job is very flexible however my shifts are usually at night. Depending on what you need I can be very flexible so we can also talk more in detail. I do not offer services for pets to stay at my home however I do travel to my clients homes. When taking care of my clients pets I make sure to prioritize safety, routine, be attentive, and cleanliness. I also make sure that all animals receive their walks and all physical activity required.
