About: Hello, I am a local who lives full time in Tahoe City. I've been a pet owner with both dogs and cats for the last 30+years. I am a mother of two grown children that are now off away at school. I work at the local elementary school with young children of special needs. I am a fun, caring and loving person who loves both animals and humans. I am free to take care of your pet most days, nights and some weekends. I work from home during the summer months so my schedule is always flexible. I currently live in a condo down the street from Lake Tahoe. There are numerous parks at the lake as well as many hiking trails to walk your dog at that are close by my place. I will always walk your dogs on a leash unless otherwise informed by owner to let run free in the woods and trails. I am very safe and responsible.
About: I'm Rachel, a writer with a flexible schedule and a love of all things canine. I live with my husband, and my chocolate Labrador retriever, Ellie, in our West Shore cabin near Homewood. I signed up for Rover because dog sitting helps me get my fix for having a doggy harem. I would love to shower your dog with attention and affection. I volunteer at the local humane society, so I'm very adept at adapting to your dog's needs. I particularly love active dogs, and I'm happy to take your pup on hikes and swims in the lake. I'm also happy to hang out and have a more relaxing day with older, less active pups. Ellie (13) is very well-socialized, and she gets along well with dogs of all sizes. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I’m always happy to go out for a walk or a hike. Ellie, my 13-year-old Lab, is always up for meeting a new dog friend. Daycare Rates & Information: Daycare is up to 8 hours of care. Anything longer than that time, please book a boarding stay. Drop-offs anytime after 8 a.m. Pickups before 8 p.m. Although there is a nice buffer of woods near my house, the yard is not fenced (hopefully soon). I’ll be sure to keep your pup on a leash just in case! There’s an enclosed deck for sunbathing and watching chipmunks.

“First time we boarded our girls locally for a quick 2 night ski getaway. Teeda is very flexible, accommodating and easy to communicate with. After a quick meet and greet at the dogpark , she seemed very confident in being able to handle our two 65lbs+ dogs in her home. Richard was very welcoming when we dropped the girls off the next day and assured us that they would be safe. They ran right into and through the house to the fully fenced backyard with wagging tails. The dogs seemed very happy - I was relieved. “We left our 1-year-old pup with Nayla and Zeina for 5 days and they took SUCH great care of him! He loves being outdoors and Nayla took the dogs on off-leash walks twice a day, as well as made sure our pup was comfortable and ‘at home’ in her home. It was our first time leaving him with someone and Nayla very kindly sent lots of photos and videos. It was clear our pup was LOVING his time playing with Nayla, Zeina, and their many other dog friends too. Nayla was also super helpful and flexible in coordinating drop off and pickup for times that would work with our flights. Overall it was such a great experience and we can’t recommend Nayla enough!!”

About: I've had my own dogs, cats, horses and chickens. I've been pet sitting for a few years now. I try to go on as many walks as possible and even bring them to work if the family is ok with it. I love animals of all ages! I have a full-time job but I can work from home 3 days a week. So I have plenty of free time to go out for walks or simply let them outside. I will make sure they get the attention they need. If they are outside I won't leave them out after dark on their own. Lock all doors for other furry visitors. Make sure they have a comfortable bed. Sometimes sleep together if it's ok with the parents. Have lots of toys and time for walks and play.
About: Hi! My dog Enzo and I enjoy hiking around Tahoe. I would love to take your fur friend on all of the adventures with us! I usually spend my days off wandering in the woods and playing at the lake. My ideal day may include a morning hike, evening walk, lake sunset, porch relaxing, reading/Netflix at bedtime with dog cuddles. I can offer as much or as little activity as needed, feeding times flexible, house rules flexible (furniture/no furniture, crate/free roaming) depending on your home routines. I raised a Beagle (Billy) from puppyhood and proudly attended dog training classes with him (Billy and I both learned alot !) My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.

We are open to all types of animals, Brewer used to live on a ranch so he is accustomed to many different types. We are always looking for a play buddy. Currently, we live in Tahoe City. I do not work weekends unless I pick up extra shifts at work so that is a great time for boarding as well. I live on a quiet back road with a big yard. There is not a fence. There is a big trail system behind my house and I often take dogs up there for exercise. Inside the house, I am always open to having a dog on the couch or bed as long as the owner is. I am not a partier and am an early morning person. Your dog will be sure to get a morning and evening walk at the minimum. The dogs I walk usually come for any adventure with me, but if you have a senior dog that just needs a place to hang out and be loved on, that’s fine too!

We have one cat of our own, and have experience administering medications, including pills, creams, insulin injections, and blood sugar tests. We have a large car with room for dogs in the back. Please let us know upon booking if you'd like us to walk you dog(s) around your neighborhood, our neighborhood (if nearby) or if you'd like us to take them to a dog park. We are trust-worthy people who follow directions well, so whatever you say is safe for your pets, will be our guideline. We always keep an eye out for any danger! We work from home, so we always have time for walks and pets. We have flexible schedules in general and are glad to work with you to find them best time. We always want to best for any animal and to make sure they are comfortable and happy. Feel free to give us any special instructions or guidelines that will make you dog's walk the best it can be!

I'm an electrician so I typically work 8 to 5 monday to thursday, but my schedule is sometimes random. Just reach out to me and we can work something out! “First time we boarded our girls locally for a quick 2 night ski getaway. Teeda is very flexible, accommodating and easy to communicate with. After a quick meet and greet at the dogpark , she seemed very confident in being able to handle our two 65lbs+ dogs in her home. Richard was very welcoming when we dropped the girls off the next day and assured us that they would be safe. They ran right into and through the house to the fully fenced backyard with wagging tails. The dogs seemed very happy - I was relieved. Teeda sent us photos every day and answered messages every time. Thank you Teeda and Richard for welcoming our girls into your home and taking care of them! We'll be back!”
“We left our 1-year-old pup with Nayla and Zeina for 5 days and they took SUCH great care of him! He loves being outdoors and Nayla took the dogs on off-leash walks twice a day, as well as made sure our pup was comfortable and ‘at home’ in her home. It was our first time leaving him with someone and Nayla very kindly sent lots of photos and videos. It was clear our pup was LOVING his time playing with Nayla, Zeina, and their many other dog friends too. Nayla was also super helpful and flexible in coordinating drop off and pickup for times that would work with our flights. Overall it was such a great experience and we can’t recommend Nayla enough!!”
