About: I have lived all my life in the South Bay. I went to school in Rolling Hills, I went to College in Long Beach. I have worked in the Aerospace industry since the 1980's. In 2012 rescued a Pitbull from a abusive life. So I immersed myself in learning the Dog Whispers' training methods. I have had a dog ever since my third birthday. I have worked with Dachshunds, Schnauzer Terriers, Golden Retrievers, Pitbull's, Poodles, Shih Tzu, and Beagles. I believe all dogs have been given to mankind to show us how to live life. About: I have an overwhelming amount of experience when it comes to care for dogs. I was adamant, at a very young age, about volunteering at as many local shelters as possible. I also have never not had a dog in my care. I grew up in a home made extra warm by 5 schnauzers and even into my adult years I've owned my own dog, all rescues. A few I rehabilitated after they were neglected or abused. Dogs truly are a huge part of my life and I don't believe I'd be the same individual without them. If you can't pick up your pet before 7pm, one additional day of boarding or doggy daycare will be added to your booking. An additional fee will be added for dogs over 40 pounds. Dogs under 1 year and/or "bully breeds" will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. By booking with me, you acknowledge that if your puppo damages property, you are responsible for any cost of repairs or replacement. When damage occurs, it is usually caused by pets that do not crate or have high anxiety when left alone for even short periods. My policy on dog breeds and sizes is in place because of two separate incidents. First, I lost a beloved pet to a boarded Rover doggo on Christmas morning, 2020. Having to put my little pig Minnie in the freezer after being attacked on Christmas morning was a horribly traumatic experience. In June 2023 I was attacked by a 110lb Rover dog at a meet and greet and had to go to the hospital. If the owner had not been present, I would have been killed. These are incidents that I will not risk repeating. Thank you so much for understanding!
About: I have helped professionals in the veterinary field groom and train animals. I have also been pet sitting for family and have had many pets throughout my life! I am currently a part-time student at Copper Mountain College, and work weekends at Hi-Desert Tails. I have a bit of free time as I have online classes! I will have to schedule pet care around my work, but I’m very flexible outside of that! I will be able to play with and take care of any dogs or cats, no matter the size or energy level! About: I have a wide variety of experience. Fostering shelter animals, caring for day old baby kittens. I've had ferrets and most everything else. Except I'm not fond of snakes. Anything furry please. I'm currently working part-time. Generally in the evenings. About: I did start taking care of pets when I was in junior high! I grew up with beagles; I think I’m a fourth generation beagle owner, and my dog Lear is truly a wonderful host . He adores everybody, and they all seem to love him, too. My backyard is essentially for the pups , several lounging areas for the perfect noon time sunbath. We also love the dog park. I’m a senior who spends majority of my time at home with my pups. Lots of attention and interaction , and backyard breaks . Pup heaven!
