About: Hi I’m Lily! I grew up with 2 dogs and 3 cats and started dog sitting when I was 13. I have 3.5 years of experience working at Lucky Pawz Doggy Daycare in North Liberty, Iowa. I can do check-ins, dog walking, over night sitting, even some dog training as im trying to become a certified one. About: My headline is probably my most asked question anywhere I go lol. My family has had a multitude of different pets over the years, so I actually know how to care for a lot of animals including an African bullfrog if you can believe that. I've also been house sitting/dog sitting for friends and family for years. I'm also really good with cautious dogs, I know how to make a dog who doesn't like strangers warm up to me. It might take a little while but eventually they love me. As far as walks go I love walks and who better to do it with than a dog? But I'm also conscientious of heat, where to walk on hot days so their paws don't burn and water for us to drink. I have a decent amount of control of my work time. So I am able to take breaks when needed to take animals for quick walks, playtime, and of course potty breaks. My goal is not to leave animals without these types of interactions for more than 5 hours at a time. Of course for special needs animals and puppies this can be appropriately adjusted. I strive to keep animals at ease by keeping their normal routine. So I often ask about what the animals normal day looks like and plan accordingly.

“Amanda exceeded all of our expectations taking care of our dog Maggie for 3 weeks. She was prepared and got to know Maggie quickly. Her home and yard were set up to accommodate dogs. From the very beginning we knew Maggie was comfortable and accepting of her temporary home. Amanda asked us all the right questions about Maggie's habits and personality. We knew after talking to her we had made the right decision. While we were gone, Amanda kept us regularly informed through photos and texts about Maggie's day to day activities. “May was so amazing!!!! Our sweet senior dogs can get nervous with new people.. but not with May. She warmed up to her right away. We loved that she doesn’t watch a bunch of dogs at once so you know your baby is getting a personal experience. I never had to be the one to reach out to see if Luna was okay because she sent multiple photos and updates all day!! I didn’t have to worry about Luna once which is huge for me. We cant thank May enough. Luna cant wait to go back and hang with her dog Teddy too. :) will recommend her to everyone!!!”

“We had an amazing experience with Eli and his family! Our dog is incredibly social with humans, and he came home completely happy and relaxed. This honestly hasn’t always been the case with other sitters, so it was a wonderful relief. Eli was extremely communicative throughout the entire stay and sent us daily pictures, which gave us great peace of mind. During the stay, our dog developed a small rash, and Eli went totally above and beyond by giving him a bath and applying ointment. By the time we picked him up, it was completely cleared up. We are so grateful for the wonderful care Eli and his family provided. We will definitely be rebooking the next time we need a dog sitter!”
