“We have hired multiple sitters in multiple cities using this app. This doggy daycare is by far the best that we have had the privilege of sending our puppy to. Our five month old puppy is going through a trying time, with a terrible habit of humping everything in sight when he gets excited. We are working on it, but he’s such a difficult puppy to deal with right now. This host was very strategic with working around our puppy’s shortcomings and very forgiving. And was even helpful with giving us pointers on how to work on this bad behaviour. About: Hi, I’m a lifelong animal lover originally from Sweden. I adopted my first rescue dog in 1989 and have been fostering, rescuing, and caring for dogs and cats ever since. After moving to Citrus Heights 8 years ago, I decided to turn my passion into a profession. My home is filled with love, patience, and a deep understanding of animals—because to me, they’re family. As my mama always said, “If someone isn’t kind to animals, they’re not a kind person.” I am retired and I am pretty much a homebody because I have my own rescue dogs. I have a fully fenced backyard with a pool and a grass area for them to play. If they want walks we have a really nice area in the neighborhood for dog walks. The dogs will have full roam of the house and supervised outdoor playtime. They will of course get lots of love and cuddles and will be allowed on the furniture.

I could easily tell how much Alora cared about taking care of animals. My dogs liked her and her dogs as well. Alora was accommodating, communicative and so kind! Due to the departure and return flight times for my trip, I needed a very early morning drop off and late night pick up. Alora was fine with this and even let me drop off a little early so I had time to get to the airport without being in a rush. Despite the length of my dogs' stay, she kept her rates as they were shown prior to my booking. She also sent multiple text updates as well as videos of my dogs. I felt confident that my dogs were in good hands while I was away! When I picked up my dogs, I could tell they had a great day and were both asleep shortly after I got them home. About: Over 30 years of pet care experience! I’m the type of person that stops by the side of the road to save a lost animal. My dog is a swimmer, not a walker! I work from home, but have a very flexible schedule. Definitely looking for a morning walker and am open for home drop ins otherwise. Safety is key, it is summer right now so pets should be indoors most the day. Early morning or late evening walks are best. Check the ground temperature and do not walk your dogs when its hot!

About: Hello, I am a huge dog lover I have always been surrounded by dogs ever since I was 5! I have taken care of all different breeds of dogs from bathing, walking, and house sitting. I use to live with 5 dogs consisting of 2 Great Danes, 2 Huskies, and a Great Dane/ Poodle mix! I am open to all kind of dogs little and small. I already am used to taking my 5 dogs at home on walks each day which if you have lots of dogs like me you know you can’t always walk them all together so I often make 2-3 different trips when walking all do them. All of my pets are potty trained but I do not take them to the dog parks to interact with dogs outside of my own home. I prefer not to do so for the health of my own dogs. I am a huge cleaner so I always make sure my dogs are cared and cleaned and LOVED!

Finally at the age of 34 I adopted my first dog, a pomeranian named Winston. He became the absolute love of my life quickly. I understood why so many people become so bonded with their doggies. Winston was by my side even when humans weren't. I never laughed so hard playing with him all those years and then never cried so hard when he passed recently. I miss him every single day. But feel so blessed to have had him in my life. Although I am not ready to get another dog, I am absolutely looking forward to helping other people with their family pets. I know I was extremely OCD with Winstons care and did not trust many people with him when I had to work or travel. So it means a lot to me to be trusted with your family pet. Plus, I get to have fun doing something that brings me joy! I am currently working part time so am pretty flexible. I am up early as well so can be the early helper if someone needs it. I am always mindful of my environment and will be so when I approach your house and pet. I have worked in the mental health field for over 20 years so am good at assessing a situation, staying calm and making good judgement calls. Safety is always a priority also. I want you and your pet to trust me and be safe.

“I left my German Shepherd, Buddy, with Lori and Mike, and they did an excellent job watching him. They have a nice enclosed backyard where Buddy enjoyed frolicking and exploring. Buddy is an older dog and has some extra needs, including medications, and all his needs were well taken care of. Buddy came home happy and mellow as usual. I will definitely use their services again should I need them.”

“Michael took care of our 4-month-old malamute puppy during our trip, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. It was our very first time boarding our dog, and since he’s still so young, we were pretty anxious about whether our pup would be okay and whether he might cause any trouble for the sitter. But from the start, we could tell that Michael is very experienced, and we felt comfortable leaving Winter with him. We loved that our pup had a chance to socialize with other dogs and really appreciated the daily updates and photos. We were also pleasantly surprised that Michael even washed our dog bed — such a thoughtful touch! When we picked Winter up, he was happy, relaxed, clean, and clearly well cared for. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life! I’ve been around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages, from little puppies to older dogs. My grandma also fostered dogs, so I was always surrounded by them growing up! I have 4 years of pet-sitting experience, but I’ve also grown up taking care of our own dogs my whole life. people always tell me how much their dogs love me! I absolutely adore animals and would treat your fur babies like my own! I’m a college student with a flexible schedule since most of my classes are online! I’m available all day Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I have in-person classes Tuesday and Thursday but can discuss morning or evening visits. I’m also happy to stay overnight in your home! Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities! I’ll always follow their normal routine, respect your home, and give them plenty of love and attention. I’m also happy to send pictures and updates so you know your fur baby is in good hands!

About: Your pup will love the fact that he/she can run and play and get one on one attention. I love to take care of pets and know just how to make your pets day fun and stimulating so when they come home they can be the warm fuzzy friend you love! I am a stay at home mom so I have open availability. Did I mention I take hikes?!? Yep that's right folks...a dog sitter that will actually take your fur baby on an adventure when you're at work! I personally have been training pups since I was 15 years old, so that will be a part of the daily activities. If your fur baby has special needs that is fine too! My mom and I have been involved with Muttville for years! Pittbull and other (“aggressive”) breeds 110% welcome!! I use that term EXTREMELY LOOSELY! I will host any breed of dog, I do not believe it is the dogs breeding that causes aggression or biting. Most times it is just inexperience on the humans part or fear on the dogs part. Feel confident bringing your pup to stay with me, I monitor all activity and continue to reinforce your training expectations while you’re away.

My male dog needs a lot of extra care, including medication and rice with the dog food. Whitney was very patient and has full of experiences for his situation.
