About: I have lived with many dogs and cats my whole life, in this way I have always been raised to care for animals. I have also trained a chocolate Labrador from puppy to adulthood! I know the basic methods of discipline for pets, while knowing the basic needs of care and love for them! I currently work in the film industry part time in the camera department. The rest of my work in video content creation is remote, this allows me to be flexible with my schedule and location. When at a clients home, I leave a large window of time to just spend time with the pets, whether that be petting, playing fetch, scratching bellies, or just hanging out with one another. Not only have I had pets my whole life and worked for numerous families and friends caring for their pets, but I have professional experience caring for all types of animals. A few of the organizations that I have volunteered for are the Humane Society, Santa Barbara Zoo, and the Santa Barbara Marine Mammal Center. We go on outings to nearby dog-friendly parks (Camino Real and Arroyo Verde are the favorites) and absolutely love to go hiking in our beautiful mountains, so you can be confident that your dog will get some quality outdoors time, whether they need a long walk or a good game of fetch! I am more than happy to take energetic pooches to off-leash parks if the owner and I both feel comfortable with the dog's recall and safety. There is plenty of room to run around! We have a backyard that is fully fenced as well as an open space of the living room with a box full of dog toys that always ends up being the puppy play area :) I guarantee your dog will love their time staying in a house with a yard and the beach and park close by. I will treat your pup like my own with lots of love and follow any specific guidelines you have for your pet regarding diet, leashes, exercise needs, training, preferred sleeping arrangements, allowed on furniture, etc. I will also send updates and photos during your dog’s stay. About: I have worked as a veterinary assistant at an animal hospital that also administers emergency care. Because of this, I am very knowledgeable and experienced in medication administration, animal behavior, animal nutrition, emergency care, CPR, and all around animal care. I have owned many animals such as dogs, cats, chickens, a tortoise, and a bird. I also have been around many other animals as well having grown up in a small town with agriculture and having worked at a farm and a pet boarding facility. I have always loved animals and plan to become a veterinarian or RVT one day, caring for any and every animal I can. I am currently very free to spend time with your pet! I am available beginning around 9AM, possibly earlier if needed and discussed in more detail, until around 6PM, also flexible if discussed further. I am ready and excited to give your pets the best loving care throughout the day! In the client’s home, I can make at least 3 if not more daily check-ins and I will stay for at least 30 minutes during each check-in. Over the weekend, I generally am home unless I am running errands. I pay close attention to the pet’s needs and behavior to try to always make sure they are attended to and taken care of.
About: Hi, I'm Emily! I will care for your dog just as I care for my own, with lots of care and love! I love getting to know your dog and creating the most comfortable and enjoyable experience possible for them. By the time a dog heads back home, I often feel like I’ve developed a bond with them, and this experience is a big part of why I do it. I have a playful, young cattle dog. I also had a sweet senior chow/shepherd mix. My cattle dog gets along well with seniors, since he was raised with one, just as much as he loves to play with high-energy friends. Currently I work a flexible schedule that allows me flexibility for dog walking/drop ins. Usually I can create time in my schedule based on your dog's needs. As a trusted sitter, I am careful to follow any instructions you have for your dogs needs and the care of your home as well.
About: I am accustomed to living with pets of all sorts of sociability, health, and needs! This is my first year living without a pet, and I really miss it. As an outdoor educator, I'm always looking for an excuse to get outside, and absolutely love being with animals. I'm currently off-season with my guide job, and spend my time hiking, surfing, and volunteering. My availability is completely open, and I'd love to fill it by caring for some cute critters. As a former employee of the Santa Barbara Zoo, I've learned how to interpret an animal's feelings and needs. I am also (human) Wilderness First Responder and CPR certified, and spend much of the year working outdoors guiding children, so your pets will be in experienced hands.
About: I’ve been taking care of cats and dogs since I was a kid. I also have been fostering cats and dogs for the past decade. I’ve taken care of animals with disabilities, seniors, and puppies / kittens :) I’m a photographer so my schedule is pretty free. Most days I am at home working on the computer, which makes it easy to spend time with your pups :) I’m a very loving pet sitter. I know basic training and will take them on really fun walks. They will also get all the cuddles!
